hello guys iam using silent 0.8.1 and the user.db is not created in database folder i have tried making a new user.db file in database folder and give permission to it 777 still not works iam using linux ubuntu 13

If it can help, I don't have user.db but userdb.db in database folder.

Don't create empty files to write to. The mod will not overwrite database files it doesn't recognize. Just make sure the ET process has the privileges to write and create files in the database folder.

ok et300.x86 is 777 database folder is 777 and i have deleted userdb.db file and restarted server set my level and give some xp and then map ends then same i found nothing in that folder

Could you please post the server log from the map start and the map end. There are sections that are specific to the database. If you find those, they are enough.

 

EDIT:

One possible reason is that the mod is trying to use the database inside a hidden .etwolf folder in the user home. Please take a look at these http://mygamingtalk....Line_Parameters

oh i found it

 

my server is in /home/etservers/silent/

but as iam running it with root

 

i found it in /root/.etwolf/silent/database/userdb.db 

 

sorry it was my fault my stupidity :/

but iam not sure if its me or its default

 

i have not checked userdb.db of silent mod before but i think mine is kinda complicated

idk where i can see my personal greeting sound and greeting text or level its just this is it normal or it is me?

The files are in binary form so they look like that with text editors. You can access the data with shrubbot commands such as !useredit.

 

Just an additional note, you should not run the ET as root. Or at least not unless it is not completely isolated from the actual system. There can be bugs that we don't know about that could compromise your server.

I'm not familiar with the game panel. Unless someone here is familiar with it, the best support comes from their forums.
