Hello, Since I started out my own server recently, I ve been planning on adding my customized voice chat sounds. The tutorial above looks quite good, but one thing bothers me, i.e, how do I initialize and get the server to send out and execute the pk3 file? do i need to do some modification to my server config?

I am not sure if I can edit above topic twice... However I need to communicate that above got resolved by itself, don't really know how but it works now. Now I am gonna need help with creating voice commands, do you know any good topic on this one?? Btw, my server is: periax.ddns.net

I created an ftp which is working properly and made a modification to my silent.cfg but when I open the game and one of the uploaded maps is played, then it shows me a flash of a download for a second and then redirects to mygamingtalk even though i have it bahind slashes. Hello, Thanks for that. I had some problems but now resolved the issues with FTP and IP. So server is running fine now. I was also trying to make it public with below commands but it doesn't work. DO i need some kind of a permission to do that? set sv_master1 "etmaster.idsoftware.com" set sv_master2 "master0.etmaster.netRight now I am focusing on adding more maps to and deleting others from my vote cycle, but can't find any topic on this issue. Is there any cfg where i could simply edit it? I'll be also looking for adding personalised voice chats, let's see how it goes.

Hello, Thanks Acis and hellreturn for above, these worked very well. My server is up and running now fine. But i need to resolve one more thing, which is my IP. My internet provider seems to assign me different EXTERNAL ip every time i connect, so everything works fine until I reset my computer. Do you know if there is a way around it, for example noip.com, will it work? Or any free trial dedicated server out there? Is it generally safe for a user to run a server on your computer with firewall and exceptions for etded or port 27960?

Hello again, I seem to have resolved the IP thing. But now when i connect with another client everything seems fine until it tries to download the packs, then i get stuck on the silent pack... Pls help me i think this is the last step till my server works. Hello, I have recently started my journey with the servers and set up a few local servers. Now i have followed below tutorial and set up a local server and when I choose Lan Connection in ET it works perfectly fine (up to the point where tutorial ends). But i cant connect from another computer. I have set allowances and exceptions in my firewall and i have an external IP.
