<p>With a great feeling of loss, Xreal team have to report a very tragic accident. On 25 October 2011, something happened that non of us could have prepared for. NVidia launched it latest drivers. So no worries, nobodies dead, but the renderer is on its ars!</p><p> </p><p>5th November 2011... forget it, Xreal team is not going to make that! First, it was just a single error on a single system, but now they have discovered its a fundamental problem and have to delay the release. They hope you understand that being bedroom hobbyist, they don't have the power to fix this issue in 2 days.</p><p> </p><p>So please, forgive Xreal team for blowing the trumpet before everything was good to go. <p>At the recent E3 expo, City Interactive showed its new sniper game called "Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2". Someone can think, "The next poor FPS game". Nothing further from the truth! The sequel of "Sniper: Ghost Warrior" is harnessing the graphical prowess of the CryEngine 3 tech from Crytek making for a game that looks incredible. Light rays are vividly cut through the smallest openings, colors pop with vibrant clarity and surface details are intricately balanced throughout the levels.</p><p> </p><p><a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l0uFoeGPrjU" rel="external nofollow">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l0uFoeGPrjU</a></p><p> </p><p>When asked whether SGW2 would place the player in any assault rifle scenarios like the original title, the main developer Michał Sroczyński quickly stated, "No, not at all. No need to try to compete with the Call of Duties of the world. We're working hard to offer the best sniper experience on the market."</p><p> </p><p>It seems "Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2" will be released in 2012 on PC, X360 and PS3. The storyline of the game will start in Sarajevo (Bosnia). On the movie above you can see a mission in the Himalayas.</p>]]></description><guid isPermaLink="false">51</guid><pubDate>Sun, 03 Jul 2011 22:00:00 +0000</pubDate></item><item><title>"Real" Infinity Ward is working on Modern Warfare 3</title><link>https://mygamingtalk.com/index.html/news/pcgames/quotrealquot-infinity-ward-is-working-on-modern-warfare-3-r50/</link><description><![CDATA[<p>"A lot of the guys working on Modern Warfare 3 are the same guys who worked on Modern Warfare 2 and Modern Warfare," the executive said to <a href="http://www.industrygamers.com/news/call-of-duty-modern-warfare-3-has-a-lot-of-modern-warfare-2-developers-working-on-it/" rel="external nofollow">IndustryGamers</a>.</p><p> </p><p>"A lot of them are Infinity Ward sort of lifers and have been there from the beginning."</p><p> </p><p>Some have questioned Infinity Ward's credit following the forced departure of studio leads Frank West and Vince Zampella, along with an unknown number of colleagues, now at the ReSpawn Entertainment.</p><p> </p><p>"A lot of the turmoil, it all happened before I got here, so I never got to work with the old Infinity Ward," Hirshberg admitted.</p><p> </p><p>He continued, "I only got to work with the new Infinity Ward, and all I can tell you is while they went through a huge transition, and while there was a lot of rebuilding that had to happen and they had to bring in some new talent to replace some of the people that had left, this is one of the most dazzlingly creative group of people I've ever met in my life. And so anyone who tells you, 'This is not the real Infinity Ward' is wrong. This is an unbelievable developer, an unbelievably talented studio… and they've got something to prove, too. I think they've taken a lot of pride in proving the skeptics wrong and so far, the reception of Modern Warfare 3 has been pretty great."</p><p> </p><p>Sledgehammer is on board Modern Warfare 3, but Hirshberg told the game is benefiting, rather than suffering, from more than one cook eyeing the broth.</p><p> </p><p>Hirshberg added, "They welcomed in a partner and that was probably a decision born out of necessity – nobody probably would have designed it that way proactively, but because they were going through a rebuilding right in the middle of this development, they welcomed a pretty high octane partner into their creative process."</p><p> </p><p>"And Sledgehammer truly has treated them as partners, and the game is a reflection of a combined vision between those two studios. And to my great delight it is a one plus one equals three situation. <p>As part of its E3 2011 announcements, publisher Activision has announced that it expects to start closed beta testing for Call of Duty Elite, the upcoming social networking and game stats service for players of the popular first person shooter series. The E3 2011 press release said that beta sign ups for Call of Duty Elite already surpassed 1 million registered users five days after the service was first announced.</p><p> </p><p>The service will be beta tested using the current game in the series, Call of Duty Black Ops, but will officially launch to the public with all of its features when the next game in the series, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3, is released on November 8. The publisher recently sent out an FAQ with more info on what will be in the service for both free users and those who will choose to pay for access to "premium" features.</p><p> </p><p>The press release also quotes Bob McKenzie, a senior vice-president of game retailer GameStop, as saying, "Last year, Call of Duty: Black Ops became the most pre-ordered title in our history. Already, this year, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is significantly ahead of that pace. Our customers' response to the reveal of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has been amazing." You have the European type of games like Two Worlds II, the Gothic series, and the original The Witcher. Games that tend to expect a lot of patience from the player while giving you a huge amount of things to do in an open, yet usually (or initially) buggy world.</p><p> </p><p>Then you have games like Dragon Age II that streamline the more hardcore elements to provide a more polished experience, but at the same time restrict your freedom in terms of customizability and things like crafting.</p><p> </p><p>Now it looks like we finally have a game that tries to do it all, and in doing so might blow anything away that we've grown to kind of accept in recent years. If you were one of those people that complained about Game X and said "I'll wait for Witcher 2 instead," then congratulations: you were right.</p><p> </p><p>Developed by CD Projekt RED and released in 2007, The Witcher had you take control of Geralt of Rivia, a "witcher" who excels at hunting monsters. The game was based on a book series of the same name by Polish fantasy author Andrzej Sapkowski and has since amassed a cult following of loyal fans.
