In silEnT mod you can use Lua to code most (if not all) features Enhanced Mod provides. -

Dragonji reacted to hellreturn in Memory issues
Memory leaks come from OB. I also get those. More bots you run more memory leak you get. I had reported that to crapshoot but seems like he is busy ...cos he used to reply pretty fast before.

Dragonji reacted to gaoesa in Memory issues
You can get more detailed information of what is using the memory with following commands:
pmap -x
and
cat /proc//smaps
Take a snapshot and after some time when the memory consumption has risen significantly, another snapshot.
Also, there are engine related reasons why you should restart the server more often then one month interval. The server time will rotate for example.

If you have a problem that downloading freezes and only restart of Origin helps, here's a solution:

Dragonji reacted to Geo in Rifle Grenades
I'd like to request something (a cvar) to mirror the behaviour of b_riflegrenades. It would be useful for say disabling RG for lower numbers (i.e 3o3) as currently I have to disable the complete Rifle weapon and keeping the k43/garand enabled would be ideal. Thanks.

Dragonji reacted to hellreturn in g_crazygravity
Try without ! command...and it should work afaik. So it should be like this to enable panzerwar and crazygravity
set g_useraxisrespawntime 2 set g_useralliedrespawntime 2 panzerwar 1 crazygravity 1 -

It might be really easy to do through Lua. Gonna post you a sample of such script tomorrow. -

Glow feature used to crash server in jaymod. It's just useless feature in my opinion which admins hardly use.

Dragonji got a reaction from Chuckun in Instantly move after revive
You are able to move right after you lose your revive protection, it seems legit to me. If you could move instantly you would be able to kill enemies while being on "godmode".

Dragonji reacted to Geo in et_ClientBinary
I wrote a simple script which logs both unknown/known binaries to a seperate log (I prefer seperating the data) and refuses connection to players using a specific cheat binary. This is currently done by specifying the binary in the script itself as I have only detected this one known binary on the server. If more are found, then these can be added to the script or alternatively a .cfg file for the binaries could be used.
Note: script is unfinished here, only posting code incase it looks like it could be of any use to other people
function et_ClientBinary( clientNum, checksum) local binary = checksum local name = et.gentity_get(clientNum, "pers.netname") local guid = et.gentity_get(clientNum, "sess.guid") local timestamp = os.date("%Y-%m-%d %H:%M:%S") local logLine = timestamp.. "Player: "..name.." silEnT GUID: "..guid.." Binary: "..binary.."\n" et.G_LogPrint(logLine) fd, len = et.trap_FS_FOpenFile("checksums.log", et.FS_APPEND) et.trap_FS_Write(logLine, string.len(logLine), fd) et.trap_FS_FCloseFile(fd) if binary == "30d13c5e1339f3c80ad89ab4525564ab" then et.trap_DropClient ( clientNum, "\^7You have been automatically banned for using a cheat program\n") else return end return 0 end end I also disabled g_ClientBinaries parameter 2 as the point was to seperate the binaries into a dedicated file instead of adding to an existing one.

Dragonji reacted to TheSilencerPL in who voted what?
I think that the thing that it's anonymous people vote for the maps that are, let's call it, "not the main stream" ones. I would like to avoid the hating actions after the voting is finished, so I am against this feature.
But let's listen to other voices in the discussion.
