The Samsung Galaxy S10 is perhaps the most heavily leaked phone around at the moment but one thing we haven’t heard until now is how big its battery will be. A new leak changes that though, as a photo of cases seemingly designed for the S10 range also includes text which seems to correspond to battery sizes. The image, shared by reputable Samsung leaker @UniverseIce, shows three different cases, one for a 6.4-inch phone (likely the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus), one for a 6.1-inch handset (probably the standard Galaxy S10), and one for a 5.8-inch device (possibly the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite). The S10 Plus case has 4,000 written on it, while the Galaxy S10 case says 3,500 and the Galaxy S10 Lite case reads 3,100. Those numbers could well be battery capacities, though without the ‘mAh’ on the end we can’t be certain. Assuming that battery sizes are accurate, it would mean the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus has the same size battery as the Samsung Galaxy Note 9. That would make sense, since its screen is also rumored to be the same size. The standard Samsung Galaxy S10 meanwhile would have a battery the size of the one in the Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus, and the S9 Lite would have one marginally larger than the 3,000mAh one in the standard Samsung Galaxy S9. http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/MyuioVKyme4SMEk4tD5AzK.jpg The numbers at the bottom of this image could be battery sizes. Credit: @UniverseIce A question of lensesAs for the design of the cases, they don’t really show us anything new, with the only real detail being the horizontal camera block, which we’ve seen images of before. Based on this image though it looks as though the two larger phones (likely the S10 and S10 Plus) could have the same number of lenses, while the smaller handset likely has fewer, given its smaller cut-out. We’ve heard plenty of camera rumors in the past, but there’s some disagreement as to how many lenses each model will have. Based on the size of the cut-out in this image it looks likely that the Galaxy S10 Lite has two lenses, while the larger phones possibly have three. We’d take all of this with a pinch of salt, since these cases could be designed for other phones or simply built based on inaccurate information, but in any case, we’d expect to hear plenty more about the Galaxy S10 range soon, as it’s likely to land at or around MWC 2019 in late February. With Valentine’s Day coming up soon, you may be looking to treat your significant other to some mind-blowing aural...technology. If that’s the case, Bang & Olufsen could have you covered, announcing the release of a new generation of its popular Beoplay E8 wireless in-ears on February 14. The original Beoplay E8s impressed us with their high level of audio quality, good design and simple setup. Now the heritage audio brand’s first true wireless earbuds are getting an update to the leather carrying case, which can now hold a charge of 16 hours – four hours more than the previous generation was able to offer. The case has also has been updated to support wireless charging. This means that you can put the carrying case on Bang & Olufsen’s new wireless charging pad to top up your battery, which will be sold separately to the earphones. Or just use a QI charger you already have at home, your choice. Bang & Olufsen Beoplay E8 wireless earphones reviewhttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/ksUo2oCr9sGgvVvBigvxgD.jpg Same earbuds, different caseAnother update to the charging case is the inclusion of an LED light on the front of the case shows you the state of charging, while three LED lights on the back of the case show you the number of full charges left in the case. Like the previous model, the each earbud of the Beoplay E8 2.0s feature a 5.7mm dynamic speaker, a small electromagnetic transducer, NFMI technology and a Bluetooth 4.2 chip with Digital Sound Processing. It doesn’t look like the earbuds themselves have actually changed at all, with the new update focussed solely on accessories. If you’ve already got the original Beoplay E8s, you’ll still be able to use the new charging case, so you can still get all the benefits of wireless charging. The Beoplay E8 2.0s will be available from February 14 for $350 (around £275 / AU$490 based on current conversion rates). The wireless charging case will be sold separately from April 2019, with the retail price still to be confirmed. A massive data breach has led to the personal data and documents of hundreds of German politicians and public figures being published online. As of this time, it is still unclear as to whether the breach occurred as the result of a leak or hack according to a spokesperson from the country's Interior Ministry. German Chancellor Angela Merkel was also affected by the incident though an initial analysis revealed that no sensitive material from her office had been released. If it turns out that the data breach was caused by a hack, it would be the latest in a series of cyberattacks on the German government. Last year for instance, hackers managed to breach the foreign ministry's computer network. Investigating the breachThe cyber defence group BSI met following news of the breach to help coordinate the response of intelligence and other federal agencies. According to BSI, every party in the Bundestag lower house was affected with the exception of the right-wing Alternative for Germany (AfD) party. The story was first made public by the broadcaster rbb which revealed that the identity of the hackers responsible for the attack was still unknown along with their motives for targeting the German government. Government spokesperson Martina Fietz confirmed that the personal data and documents of hundreds of politicians and public figures had been released online. Fortunately the armed forces were not affected by the breach according to a defence ministry spokesperson. We will likely find out more once the identity of the hackers responsible is discovered as well as their motive for leaking the personal data and documents of German politicians online. The design is a bit plasticy and there's no SSD on the cheapest models, but given the low price and the power of the internal spec inside we're more than willing to look past that to get our gaming fix on the go. http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/C5oCvUwrLnDXEBK4UCXis5.jpg A sturdy choice for a study laptop for school/college/uni. It'll run with the settings cranked with games like Overwatch not dipping below 60fps. The battery life isn't the best, but the display, performance and built-in sound system more than make up for it. Lenovo has crafted a brilliant, forward-thinking device that could very well create a subcategory in computing all of its own. The modest specs hold it back from taking on the big boys in terms of raw power, but the innovative digital touchpad keyboard and drawing surface look like trendsetters to us. That's still up for debate, but the best tablet trying to make that happen is the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 - and it does a fine job with the full blown version of Windows 10, an integrated kickstand and optional keyboard attachment. Great for for creative professionals, students and everyday folks alike - it's only the premium price that push it down the list, but if you're willing to pay for it, you're getting a lot of power. So you're thinking about PS4 Pro deals or maybe a bundle? Well we can help you out there especially as you've come to say hello around the January sales. This is a fine time of year to grab the best prices as you can get at least one free game with the console compared to last week and save some money on the console itself too. Maybe you're upgrading from your older PS4 so you can dive into 4K gaming. Or maybe you've never had a PS4 and are thinking you may as well start with the best. All solid choices, especially if you're already set with a 4K TV, even better if it has HDR too. There are some fantastic-looking games out now to really make a PS4 Pro shine, with this year alone rocking with Spider-Man, God of War and Detroit: Become Human and things are looking bright later on too with Red Dead Redemption 2, The Last of Us Part 2 and more set to drop jaws around the world once again. You'll find all of the latest and best PS4 Pro prices from the big name stores in our comparison chart below. There's not too much difference in price between retailers at this time of year, but we're constantly on the lookout for the latest deals and bundles. Looking to buy in Australia? You'll want to take a look at our AU page. If you'd prefer a standard PS4, then check out our PS4 bundles page. Don't forget to top up your subscription with one of our discounted PlayStation Plus deals too. So keep this page bookmarked to stay informed of the latest PS4 Pro bundles when they arrive. If you're looking for more information on the PS4 Pro, take a look at our handy Q&A below the bundles. PS4 Pro bundle deals (USA)Worthwhile PS4 Pro bundles have been pretty much non-existent in the US for the last few months. The PS4 Pro on its own has seemingly sold out at the regular $399 price, meaning we've only seen units for sale via third-party sellers on sites like Amazon/Walmart for prices often at least $40 more than usual. This long after release, we're not cool with that you shouldn't be either. As a bare minimum, you want at least one game with the console for $399, ideally less in the next few months. The only decent PS4 Pro bundle today is the Read Dead Redemption 2 one we've just added below, don't expect stock to last long on this one though. PS4 Pro bundle deals (UK)Need an extra controller on the cheap? Take a look at the best DualShock 4 deals. We also have a guide to the best PlayStation VR deals too. http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/9mtmJpnJDRjvZhRJk7DUYL.jpg Cheap PlayStation Plus dealsIf you're buying a PS4 Pro, you'll probably need a cheap PlayStation Plus deal too. PlayStation Plus (aka PS Plus or PS+) allows you to play PS4 games online, along with access to the Instant Game Collection, a bunch of free games for PS4, PS3 and Vita each month. The default price for a year is £40. We've shopped around for you though and found a range of prices. So check out our guide of you want the best PlayStation Plus deals. What is the PS4 Pro?Essentially, the PS4 Pro is an upgrade of the PS4, rather than a 'next-gen' console. The keywords to take in from the PS4 Pro are 4K and HDR. The new machine will allow game developers to include 4K options in their games, so expect the like of Uncharted 4, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, Days Gone, Horizon: Zero Dawn and more to look even better on a 4K TV. HDR, or High Dynamic Range is the other buzzword to be excited about as the PS4 Pro will allow for extra detail to be seen on a range of games and also a wider range of colors not usually displayed by traditional HD TVs. Will my old PS4 games work on PS4 Pro?Absolutely. If you're planning on upgrading to a PS4 Pro from an older PS4, all of your games will still work. Not every title will be patched to take advantage of the new 4K/HDR capabilities, but the default upscaling (if you have a 4K TV) will more than likely see some improvement to the visuals and the improved console power may give the frame-rate a boost on some titles. What else can I watch in 4K/HDR on PS4 Pro?The PS4 Pro is compatible with 4K and HDR, and the content options for both are increasing all the time on services like YouTube and Netflix. Does the PS4 Pro support 4K Blu-rays?No. This was a surprise if we're honest, especially as the new Xbox One S console does. It's a bit of a gamble for Sony, but at the same time, 4K Blu-rays are very expensive for now and many consumers look to digital services to provide their 4K movies and TV content. Do I need a 4K TV to run a PS4 Pro?No, the PS4 Pro will still work on a regular 1080p TV, you won't get the benefits of upscaling or HDR though. You may see a slim amount of extra detail, or frame-rate boost, but we wouldn't expect a massive leap. If you are thinking of buying a 4K TV soon, then it's probably a good idea to splash out on the PS4 Pro instead of the regular or new PS4 Slim as it'll future proof you for a while. Be sure to look out for a TV that supports HDR too, in order to take full advantage of the PS4 Pro's capabilities. Will PlayStation VR be better on the PS4 Pro?Early reports say yes. The PlayStation VR frame-rate is better on PS4 Pro and the resolution gets a bit of a bump too. PlayStation VR will certainly work on the older PS4s, you don't need a PS4 Pro to get involved there. Does the PS4 Pro have optical audio support?Yes! The optical audio output has been removed from the PS4 Slim though, which is a massive shame. PS4 Pro owners though will still be able to use optical connections for their soundbars and sound systems. What are the best games on PS4 Pro?We've dived through our back catalog of PS4 games that have received a PS4 Pro update patch to see which ones look the best and have a noticeable difference. Take a look at our extensive feature - The best PS4 Pro games. http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/techradar/software-news/~4/4HQ7fQmv4hY

Freshly discounted Xbox One prices have appeared for this year's January sales and we're already seeing some fantastic deals. We've added plenty of brand new Xbox bundles today too as new deals are arriving all the time now. Better still, Microsoft is really pushing discounts on the 1TB consoles, which are much more accommodating for your library of games and their large install sizes than the regular 500GB models. Battlefield V, Forza Horizon 4, Minecraft and more are all getting in on the Xbox One deals train today. Microsoft still needs to pull its socks up as the Xbox One sales are way behind those of the PS4 and owners of Sony's console may by eyeing up a Nintendo Switch purchase soon instead. Retailers are stocking some cheap Xbox One deals as standalone purchases, but the best value is to be found with the bundles with extra games. Xbox One bundles nowadays often cost less than the standalone consoles prices too, so be sure to check out our hand-picked list of the best Xbox One offers below the comparison charts. Or maybe you're looking for a 4K upgrade? Then you'll want to take a look at the latest Xbox One X bundles. Looking to buy in the US or Australia? You'll want to head on over to our US page or AU page. http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/534b82f7f9221c1632bf2b2d9cb8ac77.jpg Xbox One dealsThe slimmed-down design of the Xbox One S looks much better than the original chunky box and the power brick is now a thing of the past. The main draw though is 4K visual support meaning you'll be able to watch specialised Blu-Ray and Netflix content in 4K on your new 4K TV. The Xbox One S is now the standard console and has replaced the older model that's been phased out at retailers. The Xbox One S is cheaper too, so in all honesty we've generally stopped covering deals on the older model as you're getting better value with the newer version and we've not spotted any decent stock for months now. With the arrival of both the Sony Alpha A7R III at the back end of 2017 and the more enthusiast-orientated Alpha A7 III in early 2018, speculation has been growing as to when we're likely to see an update to the more video-focused Alpha A7S II. Launched back in 2015, the Alpha A7S II is starting to look like the odd one out in the range, with the likes of Panasonic's Lumix GH5 and GH5S having the edge when it comes to video capture. Don't get us wrong, it's still a solid option, but not our first choice for 4K video capture. So what can we expect to see from a Alpha A7S III? With limited rumors floating around at the moment, we've tried to distill what we do know into one handy place, as well as using our own tech knowledge to build a picture of how the Alpha A7S III might look. Sony Alpha A7S III: sensorCould possibly stick with a 12MP resolutionFeatured stacked design with integral memory rumoredWe could see a 36MP sensor capable of shooting 8KSonyAlphaRumors.com has gleaned information from two trusted sources that potentially reveals some of the spec we're likely to see in an Alpha A7S III. While the resolution of the new sensor isn't known, it's rumored to have a stacked CMOS design with integral memory, while the sensor will be technically superior to the one in the flagship Alpha A9. What's our guess on resolution? If Sony is intending to have the Alpha A7S III shoot 4K footage and nothing higher, then we could see resolution stick around the 12MP pixel count that we've seen with both the A7S and A7S II. A higher resolution isn't necessary for a primarily video-orientated camera, with the pay-off being larger pixels for greater light gathering capabilities. Should Sony try and push this further and launch a 6K (even if its downsampled to 4K) or an 8K capable camera, then a higher-resolution sensor than this will be needed. For 6K you'd need a sensor with at least a 24MP resolution, while 8K would demand a sensor resolution over 33.1MP. Interestingly, details of a new Sony 36MP sensor has leaked online that's capable of shooting 8K, so it's not beyond the realms of possibility that we could see an 8K enabled Sony Alpha A7S III. Sony Alpha A7S III: video featuresExpect to see DCI 4K capture at 60p4:2:2 10-bit internal recording30min restriction liftedWe're expecting a big improvement in video features for the Alpha A7S III. Currently the A7S II can record UHD 4K video (not DCI 4K which is slightly wider at 4,096 x 2,160 pixels), while it can only do this up to 30p. The A7S II is also only capable of 4:2:0 8-bit recording at 100Mbps internally (though it can record externally at 4:2:2 8-bit), while the likes of the Lumix GH5S is able to record at 4:2:2 10-bit at up to 400Mbps. With that in mind, we'd certainly expect to see DCI 4K capture at 60p, while we wouldn't be surprised to see 4K HDR video recording at 60p. We'd also expect to see the A7S III record 4:2:2 10-bit internally as well. Interestingly, according to SonyAlphaRumors, Sony is finalizing a new H.265-based professional codec. Known as XEVC, and a successor of XAVC, the new codec is rumored to include 12-bit 4K and 12-bit 8K 4:4:4 capabilities, while 1080p Full HD can be captured at 240fps and 10-bit. We'll likely see the new codec in Sony's high-end FS7 camcorder replacement first, according to SonyAddict, but it could find its way onto the forthcoming Alpha A7S III as well depending on what sensor Sony opts for. Finally, it would also be good to see Sony lift the 30min restriction when recording video and offer unlimited recording. Sony Alpha A7S III: designLikely to use same design as A7R III and A7 IIIAddition of a multi-selector joystickPredominantly magnesium constructionJust as the A7S II shared the same design as A7R II and A7 II, we expect the A7S III to use the same body as the current A7R III and A7 III. This will mean that the new video-focused camera will gain the same refinements as we've seen with the other two models. This includes the addition of a multi-selector joystick that greatly improves the handling of the camera, with AF point selection that much quicker to assign. Another bit of good news is the arrival of a dedicated AF-On button on the rear of the Alpha A7 III, making back-button focusing much easier, while the eye sensor is now deactivated when the rear screen is pulled away from the body. This means it's possible to shoot waist-level images without the feed cutting out and rather unhelpfully swapping to the EVF. If the same body design is used as the A7R III and A7 III, it'll make the body of the A7S III a touch thicker than the A7S II as well. Expect to see a predominantly magnesium construction, but it will be interesting to see if the back panel of the A7S III is forged from magnesium like the A7R III, or Sony opts for plastic like the A7 III instead. Sony Alpha A7S III: viewfinder and rear displayEVF resolution likely to stay the same at 2.3 million-dotsIncrease in magnification to 0.78xTouchscreen control on rear displayWe're not expecting the A7S III to enjoy the same 3.8 million-dot electronic viewfinder (EVF) as the A7R III, we reckon the 2.3 million-dot EVF will get a magnification upgrade like the A7 III enjoyed, increasing from 0.71x to 0.78x. As we've seen with other recently announced Sony cameras, the rear 3.0-inch tilt-angle display is likely to offer touchscreen control, which should make both shooting and reviewing images and footage that much easier. Sony Alpha A7S III: release date and pricePossible announcement at CES 2019Might be launched later in the year at a video trade showPredicted prices expected to be around $2,999/£2,849We could see the Alpha A7S III announced as early as CES 2019 later this month, though Sony might be tempted to hold this back for a more video-orientated trade show like NAB in April. If that's too late, we could Sony opt to reveal it at Japan's CP+ imaging show at the end of February. Cost is a bit trickier to predict. The Alpha A7S II is currently around $2,399/£2,299, but this has seen the price drop quite a bit since launch, so we'd expect to see an A7S III launched around $2,999/£2,849. We have a dedicated page of Nintendo Switch prices for our Australian readers too. The latest Nintendo Switch dealsWant to know where to buy a Nintendo Switch? Check out our comparison chart below for the latest Nintendo Switch prices. Below that you'll find the best value Nintendo Switch bundles with games/accessories. Don't forget, on its own, the MSRP/RRP Nintendo Switch price is $299/£279, so you don't want to pay more than that unless you're getting some extras. Nintendo Switch bundles (USA)We've highlighted our picks of the best Nintendo Switch bundles below. Just be aware that the game bundles don't really offer much of a discount over buying the items separately. We'll steer you clear of console bundles that actively charge you more than the regular combined RRP (not cool, guys!). Nintendo Switch bundles (UK)The UK scene for discounted Nintendo Switch deals is quite competitive thanks to the large number of retailers trying to get your business. We usually find a strong selection of bundles every week nowadays, even in those quieter times of year not particularly known for sales. So take a look below for discounts on packages with games, hardware and accessories. As with any new console we imagine you're wanting to know a bit more about the console before you put any money down. So in addition to finding the best Nintendo Switch deals, we're going to help bring in answers to the burning questions. http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/95aLCQDRo425tos8kuQ4r9.jpg What are the Joy-Con controllers? The Joy-Con controller is actually a pair of controllers that attach to the sides the the Nintendo Switch when not in use or when playing in tablet form away from the TV. When playing the Nintendo Switch on the TV, you can remove them and play with one in each hand. The left hand gets a controller with an analogue stick and d-pad, the right hand handles the one with a second analogue and the usual A, B, X and Y face buttons. Or you and a friend can use one each in multiplayer games with the d-pad doubling up as impromptu face buttons. You get a pair with the console, but you might want to buy more to allow extra players to get involved in games like Mario Kart 8, FIFA 18 and many more. Or maybe you just fancy some different colors for your own use. Extra Joy-Con dealsBack to the top ^http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/MazUj22U2Zy4azYmnwupXU.jpg What's the Joy-Con Grip controller? The Joy-Con Grip is an additional accessory that joins the two Joy-Con controllers together, forming something something a bit more solid for you to hold thanks to the extended handles and plastic block between the two sides. The square dimension form-factor may remind older gamers of the Dreamcast controller, while everyone else will mainly be thinking how it resembles an odd-looking dog face. Nintendo is providing one in the box with the Nintendo Switch, so you won't have to buy one separately. This won't charge your controller though and doesn't have a battery pack. http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/TXnKjkUKdVPGTSavYW3D63.jpg Nintendo Switch Pro controller dealsYes and it doesn't come with the console. But you won't actually need one to play any games, so don't feel pressured in to buying one. The Nintendo Switch Pro controller is a more traditional-style pad and launched alongside the Nintendo Switch. Prices aren't cheap though, starting around $69.99/£64.99. There's currently no sign of a Nintendo Switch Premium Edition console with one included. Back to the top ^Do I need to buy extra controllers for multiplayer on Nintendo Switch?Possibly not! Remember how the Joy-Con controller splits in two? Turn them sideways and you get two basic controllers, each with their own analogue stick and face buttons - the d-pad acts as face functions on the left controller. So far we've seen 2K's NBA series, Snipper Clips and Mario Kart being used this way for local multiplayer in both docked and tablet modes. So you get multiplayer functionality straight out of the box with no additional purchase required. However, if you want to play four-player games, then you're going to need to invest in an extra pair of Joy-Con controllers or some Pro controllers. We'd buy the Joy-Cons as a pair (see our comparison chart above) as you'll save a bit of cash over buying them separately. Better yet, if your friends own a Switch, ask them to bring their controllers to the party! Super Mario Odyssey dealsThis has been one of the best games on the Nintendo Switch so far and an absolute must for Mario and platforming fans. Like Zelda below though, this being a first-party Nintendo title, it's taking forever to go down in price. It's slowly happening though, so we've rounded up the cheapest Super Mario Odyssey prices for you below. If you're not getting this game in a bundle, we'd strongly advise picking it up separately as soon as possible. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild dealsThe reviews have heaped huge praise upon this eagerly awaited launch title, making it an essential purchase for any Nintendo Switch buyer. As with any new console, the prices of the big games can be more expensive than usual. We've shopped around for you though and have found the best prices for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild on the Nintendo Switch. Take a look below. Back to the top ^Nintendo Switch Micro SD memory card dealsWith only 32GB of internal storage, you'll be wanting to pick up a cheap memory card or two for your new Nintendo Switch for any digital purchases or the inevitable game-fixing patches. Don't fret though, they're actually surprisingly cheap, with even 64GB ones coming in at under £20/$25. What memory cards does the Nintendo Switch need? Those will be Micro SD cards also known as, depending on their size, as MicroSDHC (up to 32GB) or MicroSDXC (up to a huge 2TB soon). Nintendo will be releasing their own branded cards, but you'll be paying more, just for a label. So for now, we'd take a look at this range of cheap MicroSDXC Nintendo Switch-friendly cards. Spending on Internet of Things (IoT) technology is set to reach new highs in 2019 as more and more companies invest in connected products. New figures from IDC estimate that $745bn will be spend on IoT systems and services, an increase of 15.4 percent over last year. This includes an estimated $100bn on manufacturing operations, $44.2bn on production asset management, and $44.1 billion on smart homes and $41.7 billion on freight monitoring. The firm adds that it expects IoT spending to maintain a double-digit annual growth rate throughout the 2017-2022 forecast period and surpass the $1 trillion mark in 2022. IoT spendingIDC predicts certain industries to lead the way more in investing in the IoT as more use cases and services are developed and put into action. It identified discrete manufacturing ($119 billion), process manufacturing ($78 billion), transportation ($71 billion), and utilities ($61 billion) as the top industries set to invest in IoT. This includes freight monitoring fleet management solutions in the transport industry, and smart grids for electricity, gas and water in the utilities sector. "Adoption of IoT is happening across industries, in governments, and in consumers' daily lives. We are increasingly observing how data generated by connected devices is helping businesses run more efficiently, gain insight into business processes, and make real-time decisions," said Carrie MacGillivray, vice president, Internet of Things and Mobility at IDC. "The next chapter of IoT is just beginning as we see a shift from digitally enabling the physical to automating and augmenting the human experience with a connected world." IDC notes that the United States and China will be the global leaders for IoT spending in 2019, contributing $194 billion and $182 billion respectively. They will be followed by Japan ($65.4 billion), Germany ($35.5 billion), Korea ($25.7 billion), France ($25.6 billion), and the United Kingdom ($25.5 billion). What is the IoT? Christmas has come and gone, and the answer to who ate all the pies is finally clear. It was me… I ate all the pies, well one pie, just a really big one. The trouble is that getting fit is hard, just getting up and going to the gym in the first place takes effort. Thankfully there is a brand-new fitness regime coming to rescue us all from ourselves, and it’s on the Nintendo Switch. Fitness and gaming aren’t exactly natural bedfellows. Nevertheless, we have had a few attempts in the last few years - remember the Wii Fit? Fitness Boxing is the latest in the strange sub-genre of fitness games. It has a virtual trainer telling you what to do and when, you can even choose who you want to train you for that extra personal feel. As a personal trainer, I’ve been training both myself and other people for years, and it is rare that one of these games genuinely feels like a workout. More often than not they might be challenging (balancing on the Wii Fit board was tough work) but it will never get you working up a sweat. A good workout should push you. If it doesn’t challenge you, it won’t change you (so the saying goes in the fitness circles). A good workout should really test your limits, it should make you wish for the end. After, you should feel all warm and fuzzy – probably a little gross too – as well as full of them good hormones. After all, without some kind of positive feeling afterwards you’re unlikely to actually stick to the program. The trouble is that most fitness games are more likely to leave you bored and sweatless. This is not the case with Fitness Boxing, the workouts are actually pretty challenging, even on the lowest difficulty you’ll find yourself watching the clock tick down and wondering when the weird renditions will end. The exercises start off as just throwing basic jabs and straights, but escalate pretty quickly. Fitness firsthttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/bimec8252W9d8YvgjGMCWk.jpg Before you get to the hard stuff, the game takes you through some stretches to make sure you are ready to go. The instructor gives clear explanations for everything you need to do. The default setting for them is to be a mirror image. This makes things really easy to follow along with, though you can change it if you don’t like it. The virtual instructors are all a little more robotic than most personal trainers, but there is a weird charm to the slightly Siri-esque delivery of instructions that makes them easy to listen to. On the subject of the instructor, you’ll be happy to know that they are all fully customizable. There are six different ones to choose from, from the ridiculously hench, to the incredibly lithe, you have plenty of options. You can even change their eye, hair, and skin color. All a little bit weird, but much better than having to look at the same boring real-life persona trainer. You unlock new clothes for them by hitting certain milestones, so you can have the waifu or husbando of your dreams telling you to work harder. The training itself is simple enough, all you have to do is keep bouncing in your stance and throwing punches to the beat. Initially it is just the occasional punch here and there, but each completed workout nets you new things. Unlocking new songs means having harder workouts, the songs themselves are stripped down versions of pop songs, not offensive at least. The progression feels pretty good and helps to keep you challenging the next workout with gusto. Though this is all with the daily workout. Things get a little more free-form in free training. Sweat sessionhttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/hgxizPrp9ibJ6oisf2uWVk.jpg Free training lets you pick single or multi-player to start with, just in case you want to feel silly and sweat it out with someone else. You can then choose a song to workout to – each of which is a weird instrumental version of a well-known song – or you can choose a workout based on what area you want to hit. With the songs, you can even choose to do a normal speed or a faster version if you want a challenge. The faster versions are pretty funny as the instructor speeds up too, leading to incredibly fast Gilmore Girls speed talking. The sheer level of customization means you can really control how you get fitter. It is much easier to stick to a workout plan when you have the option to choose how long you are training for. The whole thing is incredibly thorough, with every part mapped out and no horrible difficulty spikes, which your body will appreciate. The constant stream of unlocks helps a lot as well. As you reach the different milestones different instructors will get new clothes to try on, you’ll unlock more songs, and most importantly, you’ll get to the more complicated workouts. When it gets to the more complex stuff, it helps that there is a really comprehensive practice mode if you find you’re struggling with a particular motion, perfect for those with bad coordination. The whole thing is a genuinely effective training program. I can honestly say I would recommend it to my clients as a workout for those days when reaching the gym just isn’t going to happen. It would also be a fantastic way of complimenting any weight training regime. Plus, you can always just pause the game if it is getting too much, something that is never an option with a PT in front of you. You will definitely get fitter if you follow it all along. Just be aware that if you get sweaty palms, you may end up needing new Joy-Cons. Nissan has developed a new in-car interface that uses augmented reality to track what's happening around you and predict what's coming up on the road ahead. Invisible-to-Visible (I2V) combines local data from the car's sensors with global data on transport infrastructure to track your immediate surroundings and predict what's ahead – even letting you 'see' through buildings and around corners. To make the information more accessible, it can be presented by a virtual 'navigator' – an avatar that appears inside the car and interacts with you in a human-like way using speech synthesis. This could be a cartoon character, a virtual representation of a friend or family member, or someone else. http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/m3gF3gND4DkD8ZS94tUKc8.jpg Nissan says that I2V will bring together the real world and what it calls the metaverse. "Simply put, the metaverse is a virtual universe," says Tetsuro Ueda, an expert leader at the Nissan Research Center. "Sensor data, cloud data and artificial intelligence live in the digital world, and their communication language is binary. However, humans cannot understand what's being communicated just by looking at the binary data. "Invisible-to-Visible technology is the interface that merges the data world and the real world - a new level of connectivity that connects cars to the metaverse." Manual or autonomousI2V will work for both manual and autonomous driving. For autonomous cars, Nissan hopes that the technology will make being chauffeured around a more pleasant experience – showing you the outside world on a sunny day when it's actually raining, for example. It's also hoped that showing a visualization of what the car's artificial intelligence 'sees' will put passengers at ease, and help them trust the vehicle. http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/VPwZJjw3zaHENQ7ZJjTexj.jpg For manual driving, the interface will appear as an augmented reality overlay on top of the real view through the car's windshield. It will also show you information about your estimated travel time, upcoming road congestion, irregular road surfaces, and other factors that could surprise you. I2V will also let you know if someone is about to cross the road ahead, or a parking space is about to become available. You can even choose to book guidance from a professional driver, who will give you personal instructions in real time to improve your driving. The driver will appear as a virtual car in your field of view, which you can follow. Nissan will be showing off the tech at CES 2019, where visitors will have the chance to try the interactive, 3D interface for themselves. The Epic Games Store has revealed the next game giveaway it has in the wings, which is What Remains of Edith Finch, a freebie that will go live on January 10 (through to January 25). We all love a good freebie, of course, but this one is particularly tempting seeing as it could well be the kind of game you might have been curious about at the time of release, but never picked up, despite some rave reviews. Mainly because the hit indie title may not sound like everyone’s cup of tea… Self-billed as the ‘best game you haven’t played’ – a marketing soundbite which is quite possibly true in this case – it’s an adventure where you play the eponymous heroine and explore the house of your childhood, discovering how the various Finch family members died. Concisely charmingSo yes, it sounds a little off-the-wall and odd, but this short interactive movie-style outing possesses a charm of its own, and is beautifully written to make it a touching affair, avoiding any danger of veering into seriously depressing territory. It was released to critical acclaim back in 2017, and picked up a ‘best game’ BAFTA, plus it’s strong enough to still be featured in our roundup of the best Steam games. Although if you buy it on Valve’s store right now, it will set you back £14.99 or $19.99 (around AU$28). This is all part of Epic’s drive to get its store going by giving away a free game every two weeks. Incidentally, Super Meat Boy is the freebie which is available right now, and would normally set you back £10.99 (around $14, AU$20), and as mentioned, What Remains of Edith Finch will be given away come January 10. Maybe you’ll play Edith Finch on one of our best gaming PCshttp://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/techradar/software-news/~4/0a2UIwpIeRU

Update: LG's next phone may feature a new type of speaker technology that has previously been reserved for high-end TVs. Find out all about it, and everything else we know about the phone, below. The LG G8 – or LG G8 ThinQ as it might be called – is starting to appear in leaks from a variety of sources, so we've made this article to collate all the information in one place. The aim is for you to see the clearest picture of the so far unannounced phone, and see if you think it's worthwhile waiting for the LG G8 to be your next phone. We’ve also taken the liberty of listing the things that we most want from the LG G8, so read on and see if you agree. Cut to the chaseWhat is it? The next flagship in the LG G rangeWhen is it out? Probably early to mid-2019What will it cost? A lotLG G8 release date and pricehttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/4Q3wGmthy3PkDJoVC4qBQf.jpg We probably won't see the LG G8 before February at the earliest There's no official word on when the LG G8 will launch and we initially expected it to come a year after the LG G7 ThinQ, which would fall on May 2019. There’s no guarantee that it will be announced in May though, especially as the LG G6 was announced in February 2016 during MWC (Mobile World Congress). MWC 2019 takes place from 25-28 February, so that’s a possible time frame for the announcement. One report from ET News - a Korean news site - suggests the phone will be announced toward the end of March instead. We don’t yet know what the LG G8 will cost either, but the LG G7 ThinQ launched for $749 / £619 / AU$1,099, so prices for the G8 may be similar. LG G8 news and rumorsLittle is known so far about the design of the LG G8, but we've had a look at some of the key features we can expect to come to the next handset. For one thing, a source claims that LG will be ready to use ‘sound-emitting displays’ in its phones from early 2019, essentially allowing the earpiece to be built into the screen. Currently the earpiece is one of the main components that prevents a truly bezel-free phone, so with this solved it’s possible that the LG G8 will have no bezel and no notch, though that’s just speculation for now. A separate report from OnLeaks has also suggested the phone itself won't include a speaker grille as it adopts Sound on Display technology. That's tech that debuted in LG's range of TVs at CES 2018, and that uses the display itself to vibrate to make sound rather than a traditional speaker. We’ve also heard from leaker @UniverseIce that the LG G8 will have a 4K LCD screen. That’s up from a 1440 x 3120 LCD screen on the LG G7 ThinQ and would be more in line with the likes of the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium if true. While the resolution boost would be appreciated it’s unlikely to be that noticeable outside of VR – which may therefore be a focus for the G8. However, it’s disappointing that the phone is apparently sticking with LCD, given that OLED is generally considered to be better and is increasingly being used by high-end phones, including the LG V35 ThinQ. We can also guess that the LG G8 will probably have a Snapdragon 855 chipset. This chip has been announced by Qualcomm and is likely to be used in many of 2019's phones. It should be an improvement in a lot of ways - it's made on a smaller 7nm process than the 10nm Snapdragon 845 and could offer up to 45% improved performance. One report has said the phone won't be capable of 5G despite sporting the super-fast internet compatible Snapdragon 855 chipset. We don't know many specifics about the camera, but a leak from Korean site ET News has said the phone's shooter will feature 3D technology. We expect that'll be to improve augmented reality experiences as well as a few general upgrades to normal shooting performance. What we want to seeWhile we wait for more rumors about the LG G8 to roll in, here’s a list of what we hope the phone will offer. 1. Exciting innovationshttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/LBqtyRwpEpZ9P89w6BenDf.jpg The LG G7 ThinQ played things a bit too safe More than anything, we hope that the LG G8 will have some innovative features that we’ve not seen before. LG has done this in the past with the likes of its rear keys on older handsets and the modules it launched for the LG G5, but the LG G7 ThinQ is fairly safe and ordinary in comparison. It gets many of the basics right, but for the LG G8 to stand out from the crowd it’s going to need to do more than that, so we want LG to surprise us. 2. A big batteryOne disappointing aspect of the LG G7 is its small 3,000mAh battery, a battery which can last the day but won’t go beyond that for most users. That’s roughly in line with many other phones, but they in many cases have much bigger batteries so we’d love to see what LG could do with a big one of say around 4,000mAh. 3. Stereo speakershttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/WrVHg9HF6dTLMPU9qeYnGf.jpg Two speakers are better than one The LG G7 already has a very good speaker, but the key word there is ‘speaker’, not ‘speakers’. For the LG G8 we’d like to see all the fancy Boombox tech return, but for it to be used in a pair of speakers rather than one, so it can offer stereo sound and is less in danger of being accidentally covered. 4. A lower priceThe LG G7 ThinQ is an expensive phone, but oddly in the US it’s a very expensive phone, launching at a higher price than even the Samsung Galaxy S9. That’s a tricky position for LG to be in, because it’s not as big a name in phones as Samsung, so it can’t really afford to price its handsets higher, at least, not unless they offer a drastically better experience, which the LG G7 ThinQ doesn’t. So for the LG G8 we want a lower starting price, particularly in the US, but keeping it as low as possible everywhere will make it more widely appealing. 5. No notchWe see notches as something of a stopgap before phones eliminate bezels altogether. But some handsets, such as the Vivo Nex and Oppo Find X, are already getting very close to doing that, and with LG rumored to be building the earpiece into the screen for the G8 it’s not out of the question that the phone could have no notch and virtually no bezels. 6. A braver designhttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/ATyBXMZVcprUXPoRuVBnHf.jpg The LG G7 ThinQ is a fairly plain phone The LG G7 ThinQ has a premium but slightly plain build, lacking the curves of the Galaxy S9 or the striking finish of the Huawei P20 Pro or HTC U12 Plus. We’d like to see a bolder, braver look from the LG G8, making it a phone that can stand out even at first glance. If the Honor 10 can pack a color-changing back that light dances across for half the cost of most flagships then LG should be able to come up with something. 7. OLED rather than LCDEarly rumors suggest the LG G8 will have an LCD screen, with the company likely keeping OLED for the V range, but we hope that’s not the case, as with OLED offering superior contrast among other benefits it’s something we’d like to see offered by all flagship phones. The G8 will have the Samsung Galaxy S10 to compete withhttp://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/techradar/software-news/~4/lGGBeNnHYgM

We know Panasonic is launching its professional-focused Lumix S1 and S1R full-frame cameras this year, but it looks like we could see a more affordable entry-level model as well. In a wide-ranging interview with DPReview.com, the President of Panasonic's Imaging Network Business Division, Yosuke Yamane, was questioned on whether the new full-frame S series will grow to include entry-level products. Yamane responded that "the first generation will be specialized for professionals, but in the future, of course we’re also aiming to attract entry-level users". It appears, though, that for now the priority is to appeal to professionals, with Yamane stating that "our image to professional users is very important. That’s why we’re attacking this segment [initially]". Yamane also discussed aspects of the philosophy behind Panasonic's first full-frame mirrorless cameras, from why the company chose to enter the sector to its decisions regarding the size of its cameras. The new Lumix S1 and S1R have a bulky design that’s larger than most other high-end mirrorless cameras, including Panasonic’s own Lumix GH5. According to Yamane this is because “the advice from professionals is that they place more importance on performance, not size”. This goes against a lot of the marketing talk we’ve heard since the inception of mirrorless cameras more than a decade ago, which has for the most part promoted mirrorless as a smaller and lighter alternative to DSLRs. What else did we learn about the Lumix S1R and S1?Panasonic also believes that the 47MP Lumix S1R and 24MP Lumix S1 will be the most durable cameras available, with Yamane saying "we are targeting the very highest level of durability in the industry. [The Lumix S1R and S1] are entirely sealed to be dust and splash-resistant, and operate in very low temperatures – even exceeding the limits of the GH5". The cameras will also get what promises to be the world's most reliable shutter mechanisms, with Yamane stating that "most competitive cameras are guaranteed to 200,000 actuations. Our camera will be tested for more. That’s the kind of thing that we prioritize, for professional use". As to whether Panasonic is manufacturing its own sensors for the Lumix S1 and S1R, Yamane was cagey. Asked if the sensors were being fabricated by Panasonic, Yamane replied "obviously we have sensor-manufacturing experience, but I can’t disclose anything. Even if we outsourced [sensor fabrication] the design would still be to our specifications. Picture quality is not only determined by the sensor. There’s also lens design, and processing technology". To get the full lowdown on everything we know about the Lumix S1 and S1R, check out our dedicated guide. LG certainly isn't holding back on its growing range of XBoom speakers, with audio kit for taking on the go, partying at home, or absolutely decimating your neighbour's eardrums. The main areas of interest are the portable and outdoor-friendly PK3, PK5 and PK7 Bluetooth speakers (XBoom Go), as well as the Google Assistant-enabled WK9 and WK7. Crucially, these Bluetooth speakers now support the 'lossless' aptX HD compression format, minimizing the drop in quality you get when streaming hi-res audio (24 bits) wirelessly. There's a new flagship mini-component sound system, the CL98, capable of blasting at 3,500W - with a built-in 'compression horn' to ensure clarity at high frequencies, even when you're reckless enough to turn the volume up to max. Party-minded features like the DJ App for easy mixing and fading are included, and a Karaoke Star setting for suppressing vocals on desired tracks also provide a much more fleshed-out package than simply music playback. LG has recently brought a number of new wireless and smart speakers under the XBoom banner to help it better compete with the likes of UE and Sonos. See you at CESWe'll be getting a closer look (listen?) at LG's XBoom speakers next week at CES 2019, the international tech expo that typically sees a host of new product announcements and launches for the year to come. Alongside big plans for LG's smartphone range and OLED televisions, it looks like LG is continuing its strong presence and variety of launches at the show - but we'll keep you updated with all the most important updates and announcements here at TechRadar. A newly discovered patent from Dell suggests the company is designing a laptop that can handle two detachable displays. The patent, named “Information Handling System with Multiple Detachable Displays”, includes diagrams of a laptop that can be used like a traditional device, with a single screen above the keyboard, or with two screens attached. This could be a big boon for productivity, as it would allow people to extend their desktop space, essentially working on multiple monitors. http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/z2BdiSxkgtNsaWt9DYUqoW.jpg Multi-viewAccording to the patent, the laptop can be used with both screens facing the user, or one screen facing forward and the other backward, which could be used for presentations. http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/pGzctfi3C24vvYA8PDDhoW.jpg The patent also explains how a potential dual screen Dell laptop could attach and detach the screens, with the displays clipping onto a bar via an adjustable clamp. While we’re not expecting to see a dual screen Dell XPS 13 any time soon, it’s good to know that the laptop maker is looking into new form factors for Windows 10 laptops. Qualcomm has posted security bonds worth €1.34 billion to a German court, paving a way for a partial sales ban of some iPhones in the country. On December 20 last year, a court in Munich found that certain iPhone models infringed Qualcomm’s patents, specifically those relating to power-saving technology. The court issued an order requiring Apple to stop the sale and importation of the devices in question and to recall affected iPhones from resellers in the country. iPhone banApple is appealing the decision but said it would remove all iPhone 7 and iPhone 8 units from its own retail stores should Qualcomm post the bonds, which will be used for compensation should the appeal be successful. However, Apple has given no indication it will recall the devices from its partners. It did not respond to requests for comment from TechRadar Pro. The latest development forms part of a wide-ranging row between the two companies. Qualcomm has frequently claimed Apple has violated its patents, while Apple says Qualcomm is abusing its dominant position in the market and charging extortionate fees. Qualcomm’s modem technology has been used in several iterations of the iPhone, but since the iPhone 7, Apple has diversified its supplier base, using Intel chips in some handsets. However, Qualcomm believes its modems have been completely eliminated from the most recent iPhones, a belief that is supported by independent teardowns. Earlier in December, a Chinese court banned the import and sale of several older iPhone models in the country after Qualcomm’s request for an injunction was granted. Qualcomm alleged that the iPhone violates another two of its patents – one relating to photo editing and another to touchscreen application multitasking – and the two patents had previously been found to be valid by SIPO, the Chinese patent office. The devices affected are the iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S Plus, iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X. Apple’s latest trio of handsets – the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR – are not affected because they were released after the injunction was filed. Reports at the time suggested that all affected devices were still on sale in the country. Audio company Klipsch has announced that it's launching 10 new products at this year's CES 2019 convention in Las Vegas, including a new family of wireless in-ear headphones, portable speakers, and soundbars. If you're looking to cut the cord in 2019, the new Klipsch T5 range of in-ear headphones may be exactly what you're looking for, featuring the brand's patented oval ear tips, which are designed to offer comfort as well as an excellent seal for noise isolation and powerful bass. There are four new models of headphones in the lineup, including Klipsch's first true wireless earbuds, as well as models designed for sports and wired versions. Right now we don't know the exact pricing, but Klipsch says prices will range between $59 and $199. Based on current conversion rates, that works out at around £45 / AU$85 to £160 / AU$280. The company says the new T5 range will be available in the next few months, but hasn't revealed whether this applies to all territories. Check out our Klipsch Reference On-Ear II headphones reviewhttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/5E4AEmwMedfkose4Q3SwaE.png The new Klipsch T5 true wireless in-ears Lots to choose fromKlipsch is also set to expand its lineup of Heritage Wireless speakers, having recently announced the integration of Google Assistant into The Three speaker. The Three with Google Assistant will have a number of new styles to choose from, including smaller, more portable options. Again, pricing and availability information are vague, but we should see the new speaker styles launch later this year. Finally, Klipsch will unveil five new soundbars, ranging from 40 inches to 54 inches in width. The smallest, Klipsch Bar 40G, will come with Google Assistant built in, while the Bar 48W has even more options, with Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa, and Apple's AirPlay 2. If you're looking for a more immersive cinematic experience, the Klipsch Bar 54A is set to support Dolby Atmos technology and discrete elevation drivers, while bass-heads can opt to buy any of the soundbars with subwoofers. Prices are said to range from $299 right up to $1,599 (around £235 / AU$425 to £1,260 / AU$2,270), and they'll be available to buy in the next few months – however, some models may not be available until the tail end of 2019. Still, it looks like there's going to be lots for audiophiles at CES 2019 – if you want to keep up to date with all the news and product launches from the tech extravaganza, make sure you bookmark TechRadar's CES 2019 hub, which we'll be updating from the show. You’re reading TechRadar because you’re constantly seeking the latest technology that’s going to build your business, advance your career, and improve your life (me too). And yet, all the tech in the world is not going to take the place of one vital component of the getting-ahead game – face-to-face networking. I know. I hate that hustle too. The mere thought of making small talk, angling my way into conversations and nodding and smiling for 90 minutes makes me want to bury my head even deeper into the warm glow of my devices. After all, that kind of humiliation guarantees nothing except the deepening of my anxiety and the solid affirmation of my social awkwardness (like I really needed another reminder). I go to networking events grudgingly, and I’m sure it shows. And my lack of success at them is a self-fulfilling prophecy. However, like all techies, I found an easy shortcut that minimizes my having to deal with a sea of actual people – and it’s user-friendly. Shapr is a free business networking app that helps you meet the professionals you want and need to meet without all the awkwardness of a dreaded networking event. It works through an algorithm and is based on your geographic proximity, work experience, and most relevant interests. What you get instead of a night of dread: a daily, personalized selection of 10 to 15 smart, professional peers. You both share the same goal: finding the right people who can help you get to a higher ground. You may be as important to them as they may be to you. http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/G4eBWoPBjxzKy4Eq57cnzN.png Shapr matches come to you – no small talk, endless handshaking or forced socialization. Your first connection with another networker is through the app; if you agree to meet for a coffee, go. You’re already on your way to 2.0. The preliminary awkwardness is removed from the equation. The people you can meet on Shapr are diverse: CEOs, recruiters, editors, human resources executives, programmers, content writers, software and app entrepreneurs and more. And the possibilities for mentoring, partnering and growing are endless. How it works: set up your profile for iOS or Android, plug in your LinkedIn profile and add up to 10 interests and hashtags (for instance, patents, marketing, content, investors, and startups – whatever matters most to you). The algorithm takes it from there, and gets to work, matching you up. All you need to do is sit back. I also love the feeling of control – something I can never have at networking events. Shapr lets me filter out the people I don’t want to meet and focus on the people who matter most to me. 2 million professionals are currently using the app, so drilling down is easy and fun. And no rejection trauma added. http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/fqvw3XSQ4ZUtNrZukgGHvN.jpg The app can get me ahead on many levels: I may be looking for tech advice, a career or business mentor, investors looking for a new idea, a whiz who can help me navigate through a tech problem, or just someone I can commiserate with. In any case, a one-on-one coffee meeting has networking events beat by a mile. Shapr won me over because when its CEO, Ludovic Huraux, spoke, it felt like he was speaking directly to me. He said, “Networking should be a joyful experience, because it's about meeting new people. It's not just a trick to generate more sales or find some humdrum job – we see it as a lifestyle. Connecting regularly with inspiring individuals is the key to a more meaningful, fulfilling, healthy existence. And that's why we made an app.” What are you waiting for? For our complete list of shows, which has been separated into genre, continue on to the next page or select your preferred genre from the drop-down list above! 1. The Innocent ManBased on John Grisham's book 'The Innocent Man: Murder and Injustice in a Small Town', Netflix's latest Original docu-series is sure to become a new obsession for true crime aficionados. The Innocent Man tells the gripping (and baffling) story of Ron Williamson, a man who has been imprisoned since 1988 and has sat on Oklahoma's death row for 11 years for a heinous murder that experts believe he couldn't possibly have committed. The problem is, his taped confession is impossible to ignore. Has Williamson been thrown under the bus by dodgy police and prosecutors? Check out the trailer below. Details: 1 season, 6 episodes per season, 48 minutes per episode 2. Narcos: MexicoWith its latest season, Netflix's hit series Narcos has left Colombia behind and spun off into a different story exploring the Mexican drug trade. While it occasionally crosses over into the world of Pablo Escobar and the Cali Cartel, Narcos: Mexico is its own story, following the rise of the Guadalajara Cartel, led by Miguel Ángel Félix Gallardo (Diego Luna). Meanwhile, American DEA agent Enrique 'Kiki' Camarena (Michael Peña) relocates his family to the city in order to track the cartel, expecting to investigate a bunch of disorganised traffickers. Unfortunately, he gets more than he bargained for with Gallardo, whose ambition sees him build an unrivalled Mexican drug empire. Once again based on a true story, Narco: Mexico is just as riveting as the show's previous seasons, only with an entirely different Mexican flavour. Also, you don't need to have seen the previous seasons to enjoy this one. Check out the trailer below. Details: 4 seasons, 10 episodes per season, 60 minutes per episode 3. The Haunting of Hill HouseLoosely based on the 1959 gothic horror novel by Shirley Jackson, The Haunting of Hill House follows seven members of the Crain family who are forever traumatised by their brief time living at an old mansion in 1992. From the show's title, you've probably surmised that the house is haunted, however, these particular ghosts will continue to haunt the Crain children well into adulthood – no matter where they live. Regularly flicking back and forth between the present and past, The Haunting of Hill House gets under your skin slowly, gradually revealing the escalation of horror that led the family to be as fractured as it is today. As chilling as The Haunting of Hill House is, it's the family drama aspect that resonates most. That said, you'll probably want to sleep with the lights on after binging this is one. If you're a fan of films like The Conjuring, It and Hereditary, you're going to love this. Details: 1 season, 10 episodes per season, 60-70 minutes per episode 4. Chilling Adventures of SabrinaForget the '90s TV series Sabrina the Teenage Witch, because aside from sharing character names, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is an entirely different beast. Darker and scarier than that family-friendly take, Netflix's version of the classic Archie Comics character owes a lot more to creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa's recent comic series of the same name. Dealing head on with Satanism, demons and other dark subject matter, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina makes for a perfect companion to Riverdale (also from Aguirre-Sacasa), which tends to dabble in death and mystery, too. Of course, the show is quite fun, too, with a terrific performances from Kiernan Shipka (Mad Men) as Sabrina, Lucy Davis (Wonder Woman) as Aunt Hilda and Australia's own Miranda Otto (Return of the King) as Aunt Zelda. Spooky and clever, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina positively ghoulish fun. Details: 1 season, 10 episodes per season (plus one holiday special), 60 minutes per episode 5. Making A MurdererTrue crime stories are so hot right now, evidenced by the immense popularity of the podcast Serial and HBO's The Jinx. Netflix's original series Making A Murderer however, is probably the hottest of them all, documenting and recounting the trials of Steven Avery and Brendan Dassey, two working-class Americans accused of the murder of 23-year-old photographer Teresa Halbach. Over the first season's 10 episodes, the show exposes the failings of the Wisconsin justice system in blood-boiling detail. Having spent 18 years in prison for a crime he did not commit, Steven Avery is exonerated based on new DNA evidence. However, shortly after his release, he becomes the prime suspect in Halbach's murder, and Avery is put through the ringer once again by law enforcement figures that seem to have it out for him. What follows is an anger-inducing sequence of events that involve forced confessions, unconvincing (and possibly planted) evidence, dodgy lawyers and a complete presumption of guilt from almost everyone involved. Years later, as Avery and Dassey continue to sit in prison, the appeals process continues in Making A Murderer: Part 2, which covers each attempt to free the pair in great detail. Compelling, infuriating and tragic, we guarantee you won't be able to stop watching Making a Murderer once you've started. Details: 2 seasons, 10 episodes per season, 60-70 minutes per episode 6. Marvel's DaredevilWhen Marvel revealed that it would be creating several Netflix shows tied directly into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, fanboys (like me) were over the moon. The fact that it would start by bringing Daredevil back to life (Evanescence pun completely intentional) after the much-maligned Ben Affleck film was more than we could have ever hoped for. This isn't some low-level player – Daredevil is a genuine fan favourite. And if you ask us, 'The Man Without Fear' is probably better suited to being the star of a series rather than another movie – especially as he'll eventually team up with Netflix's other Marvel heroes Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Luke Cage in the Netflix miniseries, The Defenders. Though the series kicked off with a bang in the first season, Marvel matched it with its second season, which also included The Punisher and Elektra. In season 3, Matt Murdock has gone back to basics, returning to his old black costume and devoting himself entirely to being Daredevil. He'll have to take on Kingpin once again, as well as his comic arch-nemesis, Bullseye. Details: 3 seasons, 13 episodes per season, 50 minutes per episode 7. RiverdaleSet aside any pre-conceived notions that you might have about a 'sexy Archie' series and get ready for one of the most addictive new shows of the moment with Riverdale. First things first — this ain't your grandpappy's Archie show. A modern day re-imagining of the beloved comics franchise that has spanned almost eight decades, this Twin Peaks-inspired version of Riverdale is fraught with murder, deception and small town scandal. Famous characters like Jughead, Veronica, Betty and even Josie and the Pussycats are all present and accounted for, only with a decidedly millennial twist. The first season followed the murder of star quarterback (and most popular kid in school) Jason Blossom, and the mystery surrounding it. This was followed by the arrival of a Zodiac-style serial killer who terrorised Riverdale from behind a black hood. Now, Archie must prove his innocence after last season's shocking cliffhanger ending. With new episodes fast-tracked from the US every Thursday, your only problem will the seven day wait between episodes. Check out the season 2 recap below. Details: 3 seasons, 13-22 episodes per season, 42 minutes per episode 8. BoJack HorsemanThe best way to approach BoJack Horseman is to let it slowly grow on you. Chances are you won't be blown away by it from the first episode, but once you get hip to its rhythm, you'll likely find it to be one of the best animated comedy shows since Bob's Burgers (only with a lot more depth). Will Arnett voices BoJack, a washed-up '90s sitcom star who spends his days being bitter about his failures alongside his perpetual houseguest, Todd (Breaking Bad's Aaron Paul). Things get complicated when his cat girlfriend and agent Princess Carolyn (Amy Sedaris) hires ghost writer Diane (Alison Brie) to pen BoJack's memoir. Filled with hilarious characters that could only exist in drawing-form, BoJack Horseman is a real winner. Now back for its fifth season, BoJack finds himself leading a terrible new cop show for a television channel that shouldn't exist. Meanwhile, Diane finds herself on a spiritual journey after her break up with Mr. Peanutbutter. Details: 5 seasons, 12 episodes per season, 25 minutes per episode 9. Queer EyeQueer Eye is back! Taking over from where the original Fab Five left off, the new team has been put together with the same ultimate mission: to remodel individuals into the best possible version of themselves, whether it be their wardrobe, living arrangements, grooming, diet or even their confidence. We know, makeover shows are usually pretty lame, but this one is fantastic in the way that the guys really get to the emotional heart of each subject they undertake. Often, there's a reason these men (and for the first time, a woman) have let themselves go or have put up defensive walls against the outside world. Because the Fab Five really seem to care about them, it becomes incredibly rewarding to watch them go from unhappy to full of life. Chances are you'll cry at least once per episode. Details: 2 seasons, 8 episodes per season, 45 minutes per episode 10. BodyguardWar veteran David Budd (Richard Madden, aka Robb Stark from Game of Thrones) works for the London’s Metropolitan Police. While travelling on a train with his kids, Budd is forced to lead police negotiations with a suicide bomber. He then gets assigned as the principal protection officer to UK’s Home Secretary (Keeley Hawes) and the twists and turns in this six-part series begin to unfurl. Each minute keeps you at the edge of your seat – every time you think you’ve figured something out, you’re proven wrong. Not only is the show gripping, it portrays today’s tense times extremely well. The Brits do police procedurals better than most, and this drama is no exception – in fact we think it’s the best BBC production in a while. The script shines through in the cast's perfectly restraint acting, and the plot is full of intrigue and suspense that will probably make your brain hurt – a must-watch in our books. Why's it called GLOW? It stands for Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling, that's why! The show stars Alison Brie (Community) as an aspiring actress who auditions for the wrestling gig after being fed up with the lack of meaty female roles in Hollywood. Here, she can be a fierce warrior, one who is in charge of her own destiny and gets to play opposite other strong women. Like Orange is the New Black, GLOW is a show that masterfully balances comedy and drama. In its second season, we follow the ladies as they try to keep the show on the air — we can only hope that Netflix's GLOW gets as many seasons as its real-life counterpart. Seasons on Netflix: 2 Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidthttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/sPBHbxSbwW5Vvuzq54AQj5.jpg Someone escaping from a Domesday cult shouldn't be a recipe for comedy but Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt manages to squeeze the funny out of this premise. Created by Tina Fey and starring Ellie Kemper as the title character, the show sparkles with wit and lands on the right side of kooky. Best of all, the first half of the show's 4th (and unfortunately final) season has just landed and is fizzing with the same energy of the three seasons (we especially love the 'Making a Murderer' parody episode). If you're a fan of shows like Parks and Recreation and 30 Rock, you're pretty much guaranteed to love Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. Seasons on Netflix: 4 Santa Clarita Diethttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/uEmyuXcooBR84MHdjh4eBJ.jpg Like a cross between Modern Family and The Walking Dead (with a spattering of Dexter thrown in for good measure), Santa Clarita Diet is a hilariously gory Netflix Original series that sees suburban mum Sheila (Drew Barrymore) suddenly acquire an insatiable hunger for human flesh. Though shocked at first, Sheila's loyal husband Joel (Timothy Olyphant) and daughter Abby (Liv Hewson) are determined to keep this family together, even if it means covering up a number of murders... Seasons on Netflix: 2 The Joel McHale Show with Joel McHalehttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/xiTy4HQSTo9KMbXsoUuap7.jpg Rising to prominence with the hilarious clip show The Soup before hitting it big as an actor on Community, Joel McHale has returned to the green screen once again to offer his unique brand of biting, sarcastic commentary on the ridiculous world of reality television. Featuring plenty of celebrity guest stars and more one liners than any reasonable person could possibly keep track of, The Joel McHale Show with Joel McHale is the perfect way to cap off the week. Originally presented as a weekly series (unusual for a proper Netflix Original), The Joel McHale Show with Joel McHale is returning shortly with a whole batch of binge-worthy episodes. We can't wait! Seasons on Netflix: 1 Everything Sucks!http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/U9XTauBLFLUtsLChkmat2Y.jpg Don't be put off by its twee trailers and the 1990s nostalgia-bait that lies therein — Everything Sucks! is actually a very endearing series that follows a group of young high schoolers (and their parents) as they struggle with new found feelings of love. It's the first day of high school for Luke (Jahi Di'Allo Winston) and his geeky friends, and the boys immediately meet Kate (Peyton Kennedy), the principal's daughter, in AV Club. Luke falls for her right away, but there's one problem — Kate is starting to realise that she actually likes girls. Meanwhile, Kate's widower dad (Patch Darragh) and Luke's single mother (Claudine Mboligikpelani Nako) have started a secret relationship, and it's only a matter of time before everything blows up in their faces. Funny and surprisingly heartfelt, Everything Sucks! is much more than a '90s-set Freaks and Geeks clone. Seasons on Netflix: 1 The End of the F***ing Worldhttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/NjYBjVULU6DhvJJNkfccJ5.jpg This eight-part British series feels like a cross between Thelma and Louise and True Romance, with its two young protagonists on the lam after running away from home and accidentally killing someone. James (Alex Lawther) is a prospective teenage psychopath looking for his first person to kill. Enter Alyssa (Jessica Barden), a girl from his class who wants out of her horrible home life. With the two now a couple and on the run, will James satisfy his bloodlust by killing his new girlfriend? Or will she warm his black heart? Pitch-black in its humour and surprisingly sweet, The End of the F***ing World is one for those who like their entertainment with an edge. Seasons on Netflix: 1 The Good Placehttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/9GKyS46AQ3YkRyRe9KokaA.jpg A hilarious and refreshing comedy series, The Good Place sees Eleanor (Kristen Bell) arrive in a Heaven-like afterlife only to be greeted by Michael (Ted Danson), architect of what is known as 'The Good Place'. This beautiful neighbourhood is meant to be a reward for living an upstanding life. The problem is, she totally doesn't belong there, and now Eleanor must hide her wrongdoings, lest she be sent to The Bad Place instead. Witty and full of terrific one-liners, The Good Place is a delightful show with some unexpected twists and turns to keep you on your toes. Seasons on Netflix: 2 Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camphttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/pDaSPDHPXhYcBS3we7hYYX.jpg Reviled on initial release and then rediscovered as a cult classic, the 2001 film Wet Hot American Summer is the kind of satirical comedy that leaves most people scratching their heads. Those in the know, however, see it as an absolutely pitch-perfect, gobsmackingly hilarious spoof of the summer camp movies of the late '70s and early '80s. Many of the actors in the original film went on to become huge stars (Bradley Cooper, Paul Rudd, Amy Poehler), so it should be considered a minor miracle that all of these people were wrangled back almost 15 years later to star in a prequel series for Netflix. If you haven't seen the original movie, you might want to stream it on Netflix before watching the show, but if you have seen it and love it like we do, you'll be over the moon with Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp. Seasons on Netflix: 1 Wet Hot American Summer: 10 Years Laterhttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/9EpFvjzretBuYXxCTJkXJ3.jpg If you've seen and are a fan of David Wain and Michael Showalter's hilarious film Wet Hot American Summer (WHAS), then you've surely watched its Netflix Original prequel series, WHAS: First Day of Camp (also on our list of the best shows on Netflix Australia). Hilariously taking place during the same summer of 1981 (despite a cast that's obviously aged by 15 years), the series hit every comedic note that made the film a cult favourite. Now, a sequel series has been made that sees our beloved characters return to Camp Firewood ten years after the events of the film and first series. Set in 1991, the show gets a lot of comedic mileage out of its new era, and sees most of its original cast return in some form or another (Bradley Cooper is unfortunately absent, though Adam Scott does a good job of filling his shoes). If you've ever wondered what these ridiculous characters might be like as adults, this is a series you must watch. Seasons on Netflix: 1 Mystery Science Theater 3000http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/wNEoShsTrWRxpYhr35T8X5.jpg Ever spent an evening with friends watching bad movies and cracking jokes at their expense? If that's you, you're going to love Mystery Science Theater 3000 (MST3K). Based on a flimsy premise involving a scientific experiment by Gizmonic Institute, the show's lovably homemade sci-fi angle is just an excuse to have comedian Jonah Ray hang out with a bunch of wise-cracking robots named Gypsy, Tom Servo and Crow as they relentlessly mock utterly terrible movies. The new Netflix version is actually a remake of an American cult favourite from the '80s and '90s and each episode will actually give you an entire movie to cringe and laugh through. A second season has now arrived on the service, dubbed The Gauntlet, which challenges viewers to sit through six more terrible movies in one sitting! Charming, funny and endlessly entertaining, MST3K is bound to capture a whole new generation of fans. Seasons on Netflix: 2 Brooklyn Nine-Ninehttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/CaDKycFwvTjFhTtTfh5VRc.jpg One of the funniest shows to hit TV in years, Brooklyn Nine-Nine stars Andy Samberg as an immature goofball who also happens to also be a brilliant NYPD detective. The show revolves around the many cases (and shenanigans) that Samberg and his equally hilarious co-stars get wrapped up in under the watchful eye of their stern Captain. Quick-witted and full of heart, Brooklyn Nine-Nine is a new comedy classic. Seasons on Netflix: 4 Master of Nonehttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/U9fnr6CriAQ2HL5oHXrXDQ.jpg One of the freshest and most enjoyable shows Netflix has put out to date, the semi-autobiographical Master of None sees comedian Aziz Ansari (Parks and Recreation) play Dev, a character much like himself who is trying to navigate his family, friends, acting career and love life in New York City. Hilarious and thoughtful, Master of None gives Dev the opportunity to reflect on difficult subjects like like racism and misogyny in a way that's warm, funny and eye-opening – no easy feat! Master of None also has an amazing soundtrack, and some wonderful supporting turns from Noël Wells, Eric Wareheim, Kelvin Yu and Ansari's own scene-stealing parents, Shoukath and Fatima. Seasons available on Netflix: 2 Toast of Londonhttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/hGAPvRKd7Vac9PWZHgrJbj.jpg One of the funniest comedians to come out of Britain in years, Matt Berry (The Might Boosh, The IT Crowd, Snuff Box) is back with another pompous blowhard character that's entirely in his much-perfected wheelhouse. In Toast of London, Berry plays Steven Toast, an eccentric, washed-up actor whose antics off the stage are almost as insufferable as the ones on it (when he can actually find a worthwhile gig, that is). To make matters worse, Toast is surrounded by a number of comically-named characters who are just as aberrant as he is. Will Toast ever catch a break? A single episode of the show will probably be enough to answer that one... Seasons on Netflix: 3 The Fresh Prince of Bel-Airhttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/fVHCs4iWQT9PjCCmCzmSEP.jpg Before he was a global superstar, Will Smith was the frontman for the late '80s/early '90s hip hop duo, DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince. With a winning sense of personality and infectious hits like 'Parents Just Don't Understand', Smith took his performing talents and turned to acting by starring in the family sitcom, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Playing a fictionalised version of himself, Smith moves in with his stuffy high society Aunt and Uncle's family in the posh suburb of Bel-Air. Before long, his crazy persona turns the entire family's dynamic on its head, bringing a sense of much needed humour into their lives. A classic series with one of the best and most memorable theme songs of all time, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air is as fresh and funny now as it was 20-odd years ago. Now, sing it with us: "In West Philadelphia, born and raised, on the playground is where I spent most of my days..." Seasons on Netflix: 6 Dark Touristhttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/88mvxMLbdSpWxn3zwQHGqD.jpg While there's no shortage of traditional travel shows on television these days, the Netflix Original series Dark Tourist takes an entirely different approach by setting its sights on unconventional destinations and frightening, morally-questionable itinerary activities. NZ journalist and documentarian Daniel Farrier embarks a journey across the globe, exploring the world's most confronting tourist spots and larks. From a narco tourism experience that sees him travel around Colombia with Pablo Escobar's number one hitman, to a tour through radioactive Fukushima, Farrier visits the world's most ill-advised tourist attractions so that you don't have to. Seasons on Netflix: 1 American Vandalhttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/J7CK3FwUtNbyaCNZ8osmFX.jpg A note-perfect spoof of the 'true crime docu-series' model that's become all the rage following the success of Making a Murderer and Serial, American Vandal follows the investigation of a fictional crime in which an underachieving high school student is accused of spray painting dicks on every car in his high school's faculty car park. In its second season, which looks to be just as good as the first, the teen-aged documentarians find themselves on a new case, investigating a school-wide pooping-spree masterminded by someone who goes by the name 'The Turd Burglar'. Like any good true crime investigation series, American Vandal is filled with conflicting testimonies, unreliable witnesses, compelling evidence, huge revelations and, of course, moody cinematography. Hilarious and constantly surprising, American Vandal is a must-see for any true crime aficionado. Seasons on Netflix: 2 Car Masters: Rust to Richeshttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/tSMZDXArij9fWghejrf4RN.jpg If you love classic cars, particularly of the American muscle variety, you're going to love the Netflix Original series Car Masters: Rust to Riches. Join the loveable misfits of the Temecula-based auto shop Gotham Garage as they recover rusted-out car bodies from junkyards all over California and restore them way beyond their former glory — with some additional Gotham-style, to boot. From post-apocalyptic Kombi vans to beautifully restored concept cars (like the never officially released Lincoln Futura), the team at Gotham Garage will blow your mind with what they're able to accomplish. As an added twist to the car restoration format, each restored vehicle is eventually traded upwards in an attempt to land a huge six-figure payday that can split amongst the Gotham crew. One episode and you'll be hooked! Seasons on Netflix: 1 Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknownhttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/PbxdLf6tF8JPnXHojL5sKj.jpg Following his sudden and tragic death, now might be the perfect time to watch Anthony Bourdain's most recent series, Parts Unknown, which has been recently added to Australian Netflix. They say that chefs are like the new rock stars of our time, and if that's the case, the lovably-outspoken celebrity chef and author Anthony Bourdain was the culinary equivalent of Iggy Pop and Henry Rollins rolled into one charming yet thoughtful dish. In his show Parts Unknown, Bourdain travelled further than ever before, exploring cultures and cuisines that are underrepresented on Television. Unlike most other travel/food programs, Bourdain spends an equal amount of time exploring communities and meeting the locals in an effort to understand their cultures and political landscapes. Witty, eye-opening and extremely thought-provoking, Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown is the most accomplished series the late writer and celebrity chef ever made. Seasons on Netflix: 6 Wild Wild Countryhttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/t6YeUhH8xcUFBy58U8jMKR.jpg This six-part documentary series tells the almost-unbelievable story of a utopian cult that was founded by a charismatic Indian guru and went on to build its own city in the Oregon desert. Told using news stories and archival footage from the city’s heyday in combination with present-day interviews with those who were there, the slowly-escalating series jumps from free love to stoushes between cult members and local Oregonians and culminates in attempted assassinations, legal battles, bombings and mass poisonings. It’ll leave you wondering who’s really in the right — and pondering what rules people are willing to break as they attempt to hold on to power. Wild Wild Country is one wild, wild ride. Seasons on Netflix: 1 Stay Herehttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/YYoQLC2fW6vr42VtANDABR.jpg A renovation series with a twist, Netflix's Stay Here sees underwhelming Airbnb and short-stay vacation properties transformed by a team of professionals in an effort to maximise their potential and profitability. Over the course of each half hour episode, designer Genevieve Gorder and real estate expert Peter help turn each lacklustre property into a five star experience. Eye opening and addictive, you'll like blow through Stay Here's whole eight episode season in a single weekend. Seasons on Netflix: 1 The Defiant Oneshttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/L5wqcUM8VDtPDpqmWggBFg.jpg Charting the rise of one of the world's most successful business partnerships, The Defiant Ones delves into the lives of Jimmy Iovine and Dr. Dre — two men who not only conquered the music industry, but whose famous Beats Electronics brand went on to become a $3 billion player in the tech world with its sale to Apple in 2014. Featuring a huge number of candid interviews from major music industry titans, including Bono, Eminem, Tom Petty, Stevie Nicks, Bruce Springstein, Gwen Stefani, Trent Reznor and more, this three-part documentary series (which is considered a Netflix Original in Australia despite being made by HBO) is a must-watch for music lovers and people fascinated by those who display an incredible business acumen. Seasons on Netflix: 1 Rapturehttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/JXuLAfHMBuprSNgWM7Twyn.jpg Fans of hip-hop will definitely want to check out Rapture, the new Netflix Original documentary series which spends each episode with a different major player in the rap game, kicking off with Logic and featuring T.I., Just Blaze, 2 Chainz and more over the course of its entire run. in Rapture, the artists themselves are tasked with describing their careers, how they got to where they are, and what kind of cultural legacy they think they'll leave behind. Candid interviews with the artists and the people around them provide an eye-opening insight into a world that's not quite as it seems on the surface. Seasons on Netflix: 1 Ugly Delicioushttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/ovhtV6VLSw6Wt2q9xHodSK.jpg A documentary series that simultaneously celebrates food while asking why we like it in the first place, Ugly Delicious is a must-watch for any food lover. World-renowned chef David Chang takes us on a culinary journey, exploring the foods we cherish, from pizza to barbecue and everything in between. Rather than just show us the best forms of each dish, Chang's approach is entirely different, looking back at the history and ethnography of each meal and asking us to do away with our food elitism. It's only then that we can open our minds up to the endless possibilities of what food can actually be. Seasons on Netflix: 1 Flint Townhttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/cSfTdC6gEoDfePMNz64f8K.jpg Shot over a two-year period, this gripping Netflix Original documentary series follows police in Flint, Michigan, shining a light on a town that has been crippled by dwindling resources, crumbling infrastructure, violence and a contaminated water supply. A harrowing look at an American city that's been failed by its government, Flint Town shows that many of the issues plaguing communities, and the law enforcement departments tasked with serving and protecting them, aren't as cut-and-dried as they appear on the surface. Flint Town is an eye-opening series that's bound to change the way you look at police and impoverished communities who can't find a way out of their struggles. Seasons on Netflix: 1 The Toys That Made Ushttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/dQjuTFnAriHKwbsPhgzWP.jpg For people of a certain age, the toys they grew up with would come to define their childhoods. In this 8-part documentary series (only 4 eps are currently available), we get to see how our favourite toys came to be, while also meeting the people responsible for them. Kicking off with Star Wars toys, the show them gives us a glimpse at the surprising origins of Barbie, G.I. Joe and He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. Now, the second season has arrived, bring new 1-hour episodes about Transformers, Star Trek, Lego and Hello Kitty toys. It's hard to imagine anyone who grew up in the 70s/80s/90s not getting a massive kick out of this. Seasons on Netflix: 2 Making a Murdererhttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/mA9uzaXXBm9Rd3ha82rS8b.jpg A harrowing true crime series that's as binge-worthy as Making A Murderer (but was actually released long before it), The Staircase follows the real-life murder trial of noted author Michael Peterson for the mysterious death of his second wife Kathleen, who violently lost her life at the bottom of the family home's staircase. While the accused vehemently protests his innocence and (most of) his family stands by him, it isn't the first staircase-based death of a loved one that's taken place in his orbit. Though it appears to be an open and shut case at first, various factors surrounding this second death seem to defy explanation. Was it an accident or was it murder? We promise that your opinion on the matter will flip frequently throughout the original eight-part series, and will continue to do so in the three brand new episodes accompanying it on Netflix. Seasons on Netflix: 1 Hip Hop Evolutionhttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/grURC4bJzYDdJC3s2PvkRe.jpg An incredibly fascinating four-part docu-series charting the birth of hip hop music, Hip Hop Evolution takes us on a trip back to New York City's South Bronx area during the tumultuous early '70s. Beginning with the famous DJ Kool Herc block party that started it all and continuing on to the early days of gangsta rap music in the late '80s, Hip Hop Evolution is an eye-opening examination of all the elements that led to rap music becoming the global phenomenon it is today. Featuring countless interviews with hip hop pioneers, including Africa Bambaataa, Grandmaster Flash and Kurtis Blow, this Netflix Original series is one of the most entertaining cultural lessons you're ever likely to see. Once you're finished watching this, keep the beat going with Netflix's other brilliant hip hop show, The Get Down. Seasons on Netflix: 1 Chef's Tablehttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/MdimXKqMuA2iNhsRDJQzBB.jpg From the makers of the incredible documentary Jiro Dreams of Sushi comes this Netflix Original series that takes us into the lives (and kitchens) of six of the world's most celebrated chefs each season. Get an inside look at the artistry behind the creation of some of the most breathtaking dishes imaginable, and then start to wish you had the unlimited resources required to travel around the world, visiting each of these incredible restaurants. Mouth-watering and awe-inspiring. Seasons on Netflix: 3 Skin Warshttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/pghwqLrfcCEfqXHWAnyt8F.jpg Did you know that competitive body painting was a thing? Well, if you didn't, Skin Wars is here to show you what you've been missing out on! Hosted by Rebecca Romijn and featuring RuPaul Charles, Skin Wars pits the world's best body painters against each other for a chance to win a grand prize of $100,000. Contestants are given weekly tasks that involve painting naked models. Need more convincing? Well, the tasks will put their skills for painting and storytelling to the test, with a panel of judges handing out verdicts at the end of each episode. The person who presents the least skin-tillating artwork will be sent packing. Brutal, but hey, war is Hell. Seasons on Netflix: 3 Maniachttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/xh8LmHRm6xY4mJGrNRuHVG.jpg From director Cary Fukunaga (True Detective) comes Maniac, a sci-fi dramedy that's almost impossible to describe (we'll try our best, though). Set it a retro-futuristic version of New York City (think 'Big Apple' by way of Blade Runner), Maniac follows two troubled individuals (played by Emma Stone and Jonah Hill) who sign up for a mysterious pharmaceutical trial that promises to improve their lives exponentially. Placed in a series of dream-like states, the pair somehow find themselves repeatedly drawn to each other in their shared delusion. Do the two characters share a destiny, or is this just a side-effect of the trial? Featuring beautiful visuals and incredible performances, Maniac is the kind of mind-bending miniseries that deserves your time. Details: 1 season, 10 episodes per season, 26-47 minutes per episode Lost in Spacehttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/8jsMJGfYRftYaqsajYnVf8.jpg Based on the classic 1960s television series (and rather forgettable 1990s film) of the same name, Lost in Space is the latest show to get its own Netflix makeover. The space colonist family Robinson has found itself stranded on a mysterious planet once again, and it's up to them to find a way off that rock and back on course to its actual destination. Darker and more serious in tone than the original series, the new Lost in Space still offers the same sense of wonder, albeit with a new emphasis on survival in a harsh new realm. Visually spectacular. Seasons on Netflix: 1 Altered Carbonhttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/Gsjiktqdnx9m63pXJDSED8.jpg Based on the science fiction novel of the same name by Richard K. Morgan, Altered Carbon explores a futuristic world where death has become an inconvenience rather than a permanent state. A human's entire life can be backed up onto a chip in their neck, so when they die, they can move onto to a different body and continue on in another form. But when a wealthy man's chip is destroyed by a would-be assassin (lucky he's rich enough to have a 24-hour satellite backup), he brings Takeshi Kovacs (Joel Kinnaman) out of digital prison after 250 years to solve his murder. Kovacs is the last remaining Envoy, a super soldier who is now tasked with working for the very people he fought a war against. With an epic scope and a visual style influenced by the cyberpunk classic Blade Runner, Altered Carbon is the most epic show that Netflix has produced to date. Seasons of Netflix: 1 Stranger Thingshttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/JMCriHcGZSegy52MXivDD3.jpg Following up its instant-classic first season, Stranger Things season 2 is now streaming on Netflix. Playing like a cross between Stephen King and Steven Spielberg, Stranger Things is a nostalgic and somewhat scary throwback to the classic Amblin films of the '80s. In the small town of Hawkins, Indiana, young boy Will (Noah Schnapp) disappears in the middle of the night without a trace. The very next day, a young girl in a hospital gown appears in town, scared and unable to speak. In true Goonies/Stand By Me-fashion, the girl joins up with Will's buddies in an attempt to track down their missing friend. Also embroiled in the mystery is the young boy's mother, Joyce (Winona Ryder) – a woman who must confront terrifying forces if she has any hope of seeing her son again. Without spoiling the first season for newcomers, Stranger Things 2 picks up a year later and not only introduces some new characters, but also an even bigger and more terrifying threat that must be stopped at all costs! Seasons on Netflix: 2 Star Trek: Discoveryhttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/GcrBwiJyasCMQTjGLPADyi.jpg It may take an episode or so to truly get off the ground, but the newest Star Trek TV series delivers all the intergalactic adventuring we could possibly hope for. There's no shortage of action or spectacular visuals here, though the show's creators have balanced it with the series' trademark smarts to provide a truly compelling new entry in the Star Trek canon. The cast, which is led by Sonequa Martin-Green and features the likes of Michelle Yeoh and Jason Isaacs, is extraordinary. We can't wait to see where Star Trek: Discovery takes us in the future. Seasons on Netflix: 1 Screamhttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/oJLcjaMnwPBntxBZGqqFG4.jpg Many scoffed when it was announced that MTV would be making its own Scream show based on the hit Wes Craven-directed film series of the same name, but that initial cynicism bleeds away once the show sinks its hooks into you. Inspired by the films but in no way connected to them, the show maintains the meta-commentary and slashing action that the Scream name is known for while creating a whole new mythos of its own. Featuring a (mostly) likeable cast, buckets of blood and a central mystery that will keep you guessing until the very end, fans will definitely get a kick out of Scream's small-screen slashing mayhem. The first iteration of the show is done and dusted after two seasons, however, a brand new story will kick off later this year that follows a completely different group of characters. It's also been promised that the classic Ghostface mask will return! Seasons on Netflix: 2 The Expansehttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/GsJKBGsxx7UGHhirZchP7A.jpg Fans of brainy, politically-minded science fiction, like the incredible Battlestar Galactica reboot series, would do well to check out The Expanse, a futuristic series that sees our Solar System colonised by humans. Initially presented in the guise of a cop procedural about a missing person, The Expanse's stakes are quickly raised when a vast political conspiracy becomes apparent that threatens the fate of our galaxy. Starring Thomas Jane, Steven Strait and Shohreh Aghdashloo, The Expanse is a show that takes a little while to warm up to, but once you're hooked, you won't be able to look away. Seasons on Netflix: 2 Black Mirrorhttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/KWi4SAdzTVNNbgBpUgHhAZ.jpg As far as dystopian fiction goes, Black Mirror is up there with the very best. Penned by Charlie Brooker, who before this was disassembling and decimating the news in his show NewsWipe, Black Mirror consists of a handful of caustic tales about the perils of technology, shady governments and human nature as a whole. Not only has Netflix nabbed the original seven episodes of the show to stream, comprising two series and a Christmas special, but it also funded two new seasons. Each standalone episode holds a mirror up to our society in extreme satire, with themes that are not too far from issues facing us all today: social media highs and embarrassing lows, technology going awry and new games that start to feel all-too real. Pitch-black comedy at its absolute darkest, Black Mirror is a must for tech-heads with a wicked sense of humour. Seasons on Netflix: 4 Fireflyhttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/xMf6deDjHW9hkGALuTYgtA.jpg After he had produced the perfect female lead in Buffy and before he was Hulk smashing with The Avengers, Joss Whedon created a short-run sci-fi series that has spawned not only a massive cult following but, quite astonishingly, a movie. The reason it was such an underground success was because Firefly takes the Star Wars framework of making space messy, where everything is a little rough around the edges – including the crew. It even has its own Han Solo in the form of Nathan Fillion's Malcolm Reynolds. Whedon's witty words permeate the whole of Firefly, which is not so much a space opera but a space rock opera. Seasons on Netflix: 1 Marvel's Iron FIsthttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/hPeT6TNSadXc6Adj9FWj3m.jpg While many Marvel fans found the first season of Netflix's Iron Fist underwhelming, steps have been taken to address the show's issues (the fight scenes, the lead character's personality), leading to a vastly superior second season overall. Danny Rand (Finn Jones), heir to the Rand Industries fortune, returns to New York City after being presumed dead for 15 years. During that time, Danny was being trained by monks, earning himself the title of the Immortal Iron Fist — protector of the mystical (and eternal) hidden city of K'un-Lun. Upon his return, Danny discovers that his company is secretly being controlled by The Hand, an order that has been at war with K'un-Lun for centuries. With the help of martial arts teacher Colleen Wing (Jessica Henwick), Danny must use his extremely powerful glowing fist to take down The Hand once and for all. In season 2, must taken down an old compatriot from K'un-Lun who embarks on a murderous rampage across New York. Seasons on Netflix: 2 Marvel's Luke Cagehttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/2o5yahMRfmFv34hCPdBFDm.jpg Netflix has been killing it with its Marvel shows so far, having already launched a number of top-tier shows including Daredevil and Jessica Jones. With Luke Cage, we got a new kind of hero — one who's proud to use to his powers in an effort to represent and protect his community. If you've watched Jessica Jones, you'll already be familiar with this literally unbreakable character, as he played a pivotal role in that show's first season. HIs own series, however, picks up some time after that, with Cage relocating from Hell's Kitchen to Harlem, and finding himself coming to blows with local gangsters. And, now that Luke Cage's second season has arrived on Netflix, it's time for Harlem's hero to once again re-enter our list of trending shows. Expect plenty of intense action with a real hip-hop flair. Unfortunately, Netflix has since cancelled the series after season 2, meaning fans will have to hope for more Luke Cage appearances in Netflix's other Marvel shows. Series on Netflix: 2 Marvel's Jessica Joneshttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/dgZo6wVFk9wWAas5g3Vhxg.jpg In retrospect, it would seem impossible for Marvel to surpass its first Netflix Original series, Daredevil, with a show about a hard drinking ex-superhero that's little known outside of comic book circles, but that's pretty much what it's done with Jessica Jones. Though the show doesn't quite reach the action heights of Daredevil, Jessica Jones manages to be even more compelling in terms of story and character. Based on the comic Alias by Brian Michael Bendis, the first season of the show sees private investigator Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), bar owner Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and celebrity Trish Walker (Rachael Taylor) do battle with a mind-controlling creep named Kilgrave (David Tennant), whose incredible obsession with Jessica is causing everyone around her to die. The second season follows on from the events of Marvel's The Defenders, and finds Jones delving into her past in order to make sense of her latest case. Dark, violent and quite sexual for a Marvel show, Jessica Jones is required viewing for fans of the MCU. Seasons on Netflix: 2 Black Lightninghttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/9hbLyFWYDQpMCRkypeEhym.jpg Tackling issues of race, crime and violence in his community, the DC Comics character Black Lightning makes an electrifying debut on television. Unlike most other superhero vigilantes, Black Lightning (Cress Williams) is a school principal and family man during the day, juggling a rocky marriage and two free-spirited daughters in the process. In this TV version, Black Lightning returns to the streets to fight crime after a forced retirement period. Using stories ripped from the headlines, Black Lightning feels more current than every other television show in DC's Arrowverse. While Arrow, Flash and Supergirl won't be making an appearance in the first season of Black Lightning, we can certainly expect a team-up somewhere down the line. Black Lightning is also considered a Netflix Original in Australia, so you can expected new episodes to be fast-tracked as they're aired in the States. Seasons on Netflix: 1 Marvel's The Punisherhttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/FP9SvwzQvuBQi2p5aWC5W7.jpg Marvel's most polarising Netflix series to date, The Punisher seems the return of Frank Castle (Joe Bernthal) after the events of Daredevil: Season 2. Having already killed everyone involved in his family's death, Frank's attempts to lay low are interrupted when he is dragged into a military conspiracy that he may or may not have been involved in. Though it can be slow-paced at times (please Netflix/Marvel, look up the phrase 'cut to the chase' for me), it is nonetheless a powerful and violent show that isn't afraid to deal with some heavy topics. As a study on the effects of PTSD, The Punisher is surprisingly poignant. It may not hit the heights of Daredevil or Jessica Jones, but The Punisher still makes for a welcome addition to Marvel's television landscape. Seasons on Netflix: 1 Arrowhttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/2igswAiF28VJDejUt8pV5c.jpg Though the show has had its ups and downs over the years, Arrow has probably remained the most consistently-watchable of all the DC Arrowverse shows to date. Missing for five years and presumed dead, rich-kid Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) returns home to find his beloved Starling City overrun by crime and corruption. In an effort to fulfil a promise made to his dying father, Queen dons a hood, grabs a bow and arrow and becomes a deadly vigilante with one mission — to save his city. Of course, he can't do it alone, which is why Oliver recruits a team that includes John Diggle (David Ramsey) and Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) among others. Feeling a bit more like Batman than the Green Arrow comics it's based on, Arrow is nevertheless an action-packed superhero series worth watching. Seasons on Netflix: 5 Marvel's The Defendershttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/PRF4ickpbct3LSCjC6Z8BY.jpg Everything has been leading to this – Marvel's insanely popular Netflix shows, each set in the greater Marvel Cinematic Universe, are finally colliding in The Defenders. Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist, all the lead heroes of their own respective shows, must now come together to stop a threat that aims to watch New York City fall. Think of them like the television equivalent of The Avengers, only more street-level. Will they be able to put aside their differences to fight as a team? Or will The Hand, the shadowy, ancient criminal organisation that featured in both Daredevil and Iron Fist, take one more step towards global domination? You'll have to binge-through this 8-episode special event to find out! Seasons on Netflix: 1 Orange is the New Blackhttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/vvALjMvCCweFSFh2NF5CVb.jpg Back for its sixth season, Orange is the New Black is showing no signs of slowing down, with the women of Litchfield now experiencing some new problems after having been moved into a maximum security prison following last season's riot. It may have never reached the heady heights of House Of Cards, but Orange Is The New Black is another show that proves Netflix is now up there with HBO when it comes to offering decent programming. As per its prison setting, Orange doesn't shirk the big issues of violence and rape but manages to mix these with a heady dose of black humour and some occasional romance. If you haven't gotten onboard the OITNB train, now's the time to start your binge! For those who are up to date, check out the trailer for season 6 below. Seasons on Netflix: 6 The Alienisthttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/ZCFNeZfD6sCQu24VysGLZ.jpg Set at the turn of the 20th century, The Alienist finds New York City gripped by the heinous serial murders of young male prostitutes. With the city in a panic, police commissioner Theodore Roosevelt (Brian Geraghty) appoints a team to track and apprehend the killer. This includes the unorthodox criminal psychologist, Laszlo Kreizler (Daniel Brühl), New York Times illustrator John Moore (Luke Evans) and aspiring detective Sara Howard (Dakota Fanning). A harrowing mystery that will have you on the edge of your seat, The Alienist is a grisly crime thriller in the vein of Mindhunter and From Hell. Seasons on Netflix: 1 Sons of Anarchyhttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/kmBUmdWvpTVVgxZiV8yMB9.jpg From the makers of the gritty award-winning series The Shield comes Sons of Anarchy, a crime drama that follows a bikie gang as its wreaks havoc across the small (and fictional) Californian town of Charming. Led by Jax Teller (Charlie Hunnam in his star-making role), the Sons must deal with cops, rival gangs and drug cartels, as well as inner turmoil from within the motorcycle club itself. Adding fuel to the fire is Jax's devious mother, Gemma (Katey Segal), who has a way of manipulating everyone around her — including her own son. With betrayals, bullets and bloodshed being a daily occurrence in Charming, there's never a dull moment across Sons of Anarchy's seven seasons. Be warned, the show can get extremely violent and occasionally deals with some very heavy subjects — if you're easily offended, you may want to steer your bike far away from this one. Seasons on Netflix: 7 Manhunt: Unabomberhttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/qWTqsVRDN764nVFbPKaCk5.jpg With true crime stories being all the rage these days, the creative people in TV land have turned their attentions to story of the US domestic terrorist Ted Kaczynski, better known to most as the Unabomber. This dramatic retelling of the real-life events stars Paul Bettany as the Unabomber and Australia's own Sam Worthington as the FBI profiler who helped track him down. A gripping and sometimes harrowing series, Manhunt: Unabomber is consistent in its high level of quality throughout its entire run. Seasons on Netflix: 1 Godlesshttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/k62bX8TkfdvFVEo2heUiRD.jpg Need a badass western series to tide you over until Westworld returns next year? Well, saddle up pardner, because Netflix's new limited series Godless should keep your spurs from jingling and jangling. From Scott Frank, director of The Lookout and A Walk Among the Tombstones, comes Godless, a show that sees an outlaw chase his ex-partner into a New Mexico town populated entirely by women. Starring Jeff Daniels, Michelle Dockery and Scott McNairy, Godless is a gripping western that will shock and surprise you. Seasons on Netflix: 1 The Sinnerhttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/PL7oJRxK3787UWUd5YzPp4.jpg What causes a seemingly normal woman to violently murder a random person while out at the beach with her husband and newborn child? That is the premise behind The Sinner, a show which sees Jessica Biel take on a darker character than she ever has before. Bull Pullman also stars as an investigator who becomes obsessed with finding out where these violent fits of rage come from. Is there something hidden deep in her past that even she doesn't know about? Thrillingly told and terrifically acted, The Sinner is compelling viewing. Seasons on Netflix: 1 Mindhunterhttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/S58Pw2TWFq5xFkCca8QLxf.jpg From David Fincher, director of such serial killer classics as Se7en and Zodiac, comes Mindhunter – a Netflix Original series that details how the FBI's profiling practices came into fruition. Academic and detail-oriented, the series sees its agents stare deep into the heart of darkness in order to better understand this new breed of demented killer that they've been tasked with chasing. Based on autobiographical accounts by FBI Agent John Douglas, who inspired the fictional character of Jack Crawford in Thomas Harris' seminal Hannibal books, Mindhunter is a gripping series that applies an analytical approach to a well-worn subject. Seasons on Netflix: 1 Narcoshttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/vijaUFpNALcpe59xmPngpP.jpg While the first two seasons of Narcos recounted the true story of the world's most infamous drug lord, Pablo Escobar (Wagner Moura), and the DEA agents (Boyd Holbrook and Pedro Pascal) tasked that brought him down, the third season shows us what happened after the end of Escobar's reign. This time, the focus in on the Cali Cartel, a drug empire so powerful, that its wealth rivalled that of Fortune 500 companies. This riveting crime drama plays like a cross between City of God and Goodfellas, employing a voiceover-based narrative that gives you an unprecedented look at the ins and outs of Colombia's drug trade. Violent, sexy, well-written and immaculately acted, Narcos is truly one of the best shows on Netflix, and we're glad to see it continue even though Pablo's story is over. We expect things to get even hairier from this point on. Seasons on Netflix: 3 Ozarkhttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/2uHmYk77RVGeQYCSde8rk4.jpg Though Netflix's new crime drama Ozark has understandably been compared to Breaking Bad, the show approaches similar themes in an entirely different and uniquely intense way. Chicago businessman Marty Bryde (Jason Bateman, who also directs some of the episodes) seems like a standup guy, but has actually spent years laundering drug money for a Mexican cartel. When it's revealed that his friend and business partner has been skimming money off the top, Marty finds himself in debt to a trigger-happy drug lord who has no qualms about murdering Marty's entire family, including wife Wendy (Laura Linney) and their two young children. Now, Marty's only chance at keeping his family alive is to move them to the Ozarks, a long coastline in Missouri that Marty believes is potential a goldmine, so that he can pay back the money that's owed. Gripping and very adult, Ozark will surely appeal to fans of shows like Fargo and the aforementioned Breaking Bad. Seasons on Netflix: 1 The People vs O.J. Simpson: American Crime Storyhttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/N95rqr6RJ88HT6d2No2XkR.jpg True crime fans, get ready for your newest obsession. The People vs O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story recounts the 1994-1995 murder trial involving all-star NFL legend O.J. Simpson, in which he was accused of the murders of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown, and her friend, Ronald Lyle Goldman. The first in a series of one-off stories, American Crime Story season one is an engrossing and terrifically-acted retelling of the infamous trial told from the perspectives of both the prosecution and the defence. Cuba Gooding Jr. gives a fantastic performance as O.J., while Sarah Paulson (as Marcia Clark), David Schwimmer (as Robert Kardashian) and John Travolta (as Robert Shapiro) provide exceptional support. Seasons on Netflix: 1 Mad Menhttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/7FCBi8m3wLvCcRLthYdmzG.jpg Arguably one of the finest shows ever made, Mad Men is a brilliant time capsule that takes us on a journey through the ever-changing landscape that was 1960s America. Over the years, we get to see the country evolve through the eyes of the people who work at a swanky New York advertising agency – most notably our lead character Don Draper (John Hamm), a damaged individual with a hidden past and a drinking problem who is constantly engaging in infidelity. Through the show, we get some insight into the slow rise of power for women in the workplace while facing overt sexism, race relations and the evolution of the American family during the most tumultuous period in American history. Truly an outstanding, must-watch show. Seasons on Netflix: 6 Suitshttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/xB6TYbDEts7RG8Y5uhoYoT.jpg You've never seen a lawyer show like this before. Suits mostly avoids the 'courtroom drama' angle that law shows usually take, and instead focuses on the dealings behind the scenes. Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams) is a brilliant man with a photographic memory who is wasting his life away as a petty drug dealer, until lawyer-extraordinaire Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) hires him to work at the most prestigious law firm in New York. Let's hope no one finds out about his lack of a law degree. Absolutely addictive. Seasons on Netflix: 6 House of Cardshttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/L3cndxvQyahMFZE28hQCX5.jpg Funded completely by Netflix, House of Cards is an addictive series that sees a terrible man and his equally duplicitous wife manipulate their way into the Oval Office. It also boasts a visual style crafted by director David Fincher and immense acting by Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright. With allegations about Spacey coming to light recently, Netflix has dropped the actor from the show entirely, opting instead to put Wright front and centre for the show's final season. With five seasons currently available, Netflix's Card trick is still impressive and shows just how far Netflix has come, bringing the service worldwide critical acclaim and awards attention. With the world as focused on US politics as it is now, House of Cards is downright therapeutic entertainment. We can't wait to see how show fares without its former star. Seasons on Netflix: 5 The Get Downhttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/nvoQNweX7bhnCHHAKhVu3X.jpg Reportedly Netflix's most expensive show ever, The Get Down is an absolutely dazzling look into the birth of hip hop music in the South Bronx during the late 1970s. The show effortlessly blends real life footage from the period with scenes from the show, mixing them together like a good DJ. Created by Baz Luhrmann (Moulin Rouge!), The Get Down is bursting with style, drama, colourful characters and fantastic music. If you have even the slightest interest in hip hop music, consider The Get Down required viewing. Unfortunately, the show was too big for Netflix to handle, which is why we only have a single two-part season to enjoy. Though we wish we could've followed these characters further, we're glad we got to spend time with them regardless. Seasons on Netflix: 1 Star Wars: The Clone Warshttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/xk78hnE8AoU9EwMZMivWcE.jpg Sure, It's easy to disregard Star Wars: The Clone Wars. It's a Star Wars kids show set during the prequel trilogy (you know, the trilogy that everyone hates), so obviously it doesn't seem like something any self-respecting adult would want to watch. How wrong you would be to assume that, as Star Wars: The Clone Wars is the best the series has been since the original trilogy. Each episode is like an epic mini-movie, with immense scope, fantastic production values, brilliant art design and tight direction. The entire series is available in HD on the service, including a Netflix-exclusive 13 episode season entitled 'The Lost Missions'. Seasons on Netflix: 6 Castlevaniahttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/RTEVyXu6GyhHp4RkoNhrwG.jpg Inspired by the beloved video game franchise of the same name and modelled after Japanese anime, the Netflix Original series Castlevania isn't shy about packing its short four-episode season with as much blood and guts as possible. Produced by noted geek Adi Shankar (Dredd) with animation by the renowned Frederator Studios (Adventure Time), Castlevania sees Dracula (Graham McTavish) wage war on mankind after the senseless killing of the one human he loved. Now, it's up to whip-cracking hero Trevor Belmont (Richard Armitage) to stop him. With comparisons to Game of Thrones, Castlevania is definitely a series made with adults in mind. If you like brutal medieval stories that are willing to explore some seriously dark territory, you're going to love Castlevania. Seasons on Netflix: 1 Voltron 84Finished watching Netflix's new Voltron reboot series and crave even more intergalactic action? Well, you're in luck – Netflix has seen fit to drop a whole bunch of classic Voltron episodes from the original series on its service! Rather than just posting them in the order they were released, the episodes have been handpicked by members of the creative team behind the new series. Not only that, each episode is prefaced by a short introduction from the person who picked it detailing why it's important to them. A must-watch for Voltron fans who want to take a stroll down memory lane. Seasons on Netflix: 1 He-Man and the Masters of the Universehttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/cBi39TmX9mEgmmfcipdoND.jpg One of the greatest cartoons of the '80s, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe has finally made its way to Netflix Australia! Set on the magical world of Eternia, the show follows Prince Adam, a young man who becomes the superhero He-Man whenever he holds aloft his magic sword and speaks the words: "by the power of Greyskull!" Together with his friends, Teela, Man-At-Arms, Battlecat and Orco, He-Man regularly faces off against the dastardly (and deliciously campy) villain known as Skeletor, who will stop at nothing in his attempts to take over the realm. If you're after a mad rush of nostalgia, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe should do the trick! Seasons on Netflix: 1 She-Ra: Princess of Powerhttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/7xyDgJyj9VYRG2dvrNGNV4.jpg A spin-off of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, She-Ra: Princess of Power was originally aimed at girls but works well for just about everyone. She-Ra, or Princess Adora, is He-Man/Prince Adam's sister, and is tasked with protecting the realm of Etheria from the evil tyrant Hordak. With the help of her talking steed, Swift Wind, who turns into a winged unicorn named Spirit, She-Ra leads a rebellion to take back Etheria once and for all. A terrific cartoon with amazing '80s visuals, She-Ra: Princess of Power is as powerful a blast of nostalgia as He-Man before it. Seasons on Netflix: 1 Rick and Mortyhttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/N5B5nHeafwjbqHuGosdSVJ.jpg Playing like a hilariously twisted version of Back to the Future, Rick and Morty follows a whiny high schooler and his alcoholic scientist grandfather as they set out on crazy adventures across the Universe. From Dan Harmon, creator of Community, and Justin Roiland, who voices both the titular characters, Rick and Morty is an endlessly clever show that never ceases to come up with mind-blowing stories to tell. This isn't just the best animated sci-fi comedy since Futurama – it's even better. So, grab your Plumbus and strap in, because the second season of Rick and Morty is now available to stream on Netflix Australia! Seasons on Netflix: 3 The Crownhttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/jNfN6afK5WQ3VXSYYZcdAE.jpg A truly opulent historical epic, The Crown is a majestic Netflix Original series that deals with Queen Elizabeth II (Claire Foy) and her rise to the throne, starting in the 1940s and moving on to modern times. With a reported budget of £100 million, Netflix and Left Bank Pictures spared no expense to tell this story of royalty with as much detail and historical accuracy as possible. Though it might seem like a stuffy costume drama, the brilliant photography and incredibly sense of scale will leave you flabbergasted. Featuring terrific acting and wonderful direction from Peter Morgan (who directed the Oscar winning film, The Queen), The Crown is the perfect show for Downton Abbey fans who are looking for their next big fix. Seasons on Netflix: 2 Peaky Blindershttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/XjftCSnswFLej4t6ZjDgDA.jpg This British gangster epic is set almost a century ago and charts the rise of Thomas Shelby (Cillian Murphy) and his gang in Birmingham. 'Peaky Blinders' refers to the gang's tendency to sew razor blades into the into the peaks of their caps — not exactly the warmest of welcomes, if you ask us. With incredible production value, acting, writing, costumes, sets and cinematography, Peaky Blinders is the kind of show that screams quality from every angle. To make the show even more of a 'must-watch', Tom Hardy lends his star power by playing the villain in the show's second season. Well c'mon then guv'nor, start watching! Seasons on Netflix: 3 Spartacushttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/WcKgf7tKqM5uqY7xpMGZ7W.jpg Before he was the showrunner for Marvel's Daredevil, Steven DeKnight worked on the gratuitously violent and sexual series Spartacus. At first glance, you'd be forgiven for thinking that there's nothing more to the show than meat-headed beefcakes fighting and screwing in a 300-aping manner, but there's so much more going on – we follow Spartacus (the late Andy Whitfield and his replacement, Liam McIntyre) as he is taken into slavery and forced to do cruel and unimaginable things in the gladiatorial arena, just waiting for the day that he can finally get his revenge on slave-owners Batiatus (John Hannah) and Lucretia (Lucy Lawless). All of this culminates in one of the most satisfying season finales in recent memory. Be warned – this show is filled with grotesque violence and an immense amount of sex and nudity. It's like Game of Thrones times ten. Seasons on Netflix: 4 Vikingshttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/oHY86M4sWvmSswXrpSSRae.jpg Praise Odin! We finally have a brutal and (mostly) historically-accurate show about Norse culture that would make Thor proud. Vikings takes us on a journey through Scandinavian/European history as Ragnar Lothbrok (Travis Fimmel), a man who may or may not be a direct descendent of Odin himself, rises up the viking ranks and searches for new civilisations alongside his band of viking brothers. Best watched with a pint of mead in your hand. Seasons on Netflix: 4 Marco Polohttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/6qSFnJPbQ7iYTvPjexBv3E.jpg Netflix's answer to Game of Thrones, Marco Polo is the most epic and expensive Netflix original series to date. With a budget of $US90 million for the first season alone, the show is packed with big scale battles, thousands of extras, incredible locations and lavish sets. Set during Marco Polo's time in Mongolia under Kublai Khan, the series follows the famed Venetian's adventures as he navigates through Khan's Imperial City. You can guarantee that there will be blood, betrayal, intrigue and heaping helpings of sex and nudity. Hey, we told you it was like Game of Thrones! Need a New Year's Resolution? Why not shoot for the moon with 4K Ultra HD. Make 2019 the highest resolution yet with any of these outstanding 4K UHD TVs that not only have four times the amount of pixels as their 1080p predecessors, but also pack in screen technology like High Dynamic Range (HDR) and Wide Color Gamut (WCG) that really make the most of those extra pixels. Want to know about the best 4K TVs of 2019? Our CES 2019 coverage starts January 7! Over the last 12 months, we've been hard at work evaluating which TVs are worth the money and which ones ... well, are better left on the shelf. To narrow down a year's worth of high-caliber screens to just eight is a tough job – and has meant that a lot of really good screens didn't make the cut. If you recently bought something in the 40-inch TV range that was great and you don't see it on this list, it doesn't mean we've intentionally snubbed it. Unfortunately best-of lists are tiny and we can only squeeze so many screens on here. That said, the list you'll find below is what we believe to be the best 4K TVs on the market – from Samsung's outstandingly bright QLEDs to LG and Sony's beautifully dark OLEDs, these are the TVs that can move you to tears. What is 4K? Watch the video below to find out: What are the best 4K TVs in 2019?http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/F9wAaHnVQXnyPVnqJJyMUF.jpg Samsung Q9FN 4K TV After an underwhelming debut, Samsung’s QLED technology really needed to bounce back in style in 2018. It didn't surprise us in the least, then, to discover Samsung threw the kitchen sink in with its new Q9FN QLED Series of 4K TVs. As well as being even brighter and more colorful than last year’s equivalent model, Samsung's 2018 flagship screens use a completely different lighting system to combat its predecessor’s contrast problems: Full Array Local Dimming rather than edge-lit LED lighting. The FALD panel works in tandem with Samsung QLED Quantum Dots to produce a picture that's brighter and more colorful than near any we've seen come from the South Korean manufacturer. Do those features alone make Samsung Q9FN the best 4K TV on the market? No, but throw in technology like HDR10+ and Q HDR EliteMax – what Samsung bills as its maximum High Dynamic Range experience that’s exclusive to the Q9FN – and there's very little doubt in our mind that this is Samsung's best TV ever. Read the full review: Samsung Q9FN QLED TV (65Q9FN) http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/U6D3ofXKriRQ8SrHtFkjL4.jpg http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/genG5X5meaJ5BZHWKTVMS8.jpg LG C8 OLED 4K TV At the top of our list for 2018 is the LG C8 OLED – available in both 55 and 65-inch iterations. It's here because it combines an impressive picture, an extensive set of features, an attractive design and its unrivaled smart platform, to deliver one of the best TVs we have seen to date. It’s not as bright as an LCD TV but those deep blacks make a huge difference to the dynamic range of the image. It’s also capable of vibrant and gorgeous colors, not to mention an astounding level of detail with native 4K content. There are other OLEDs worth considering this year (see: Sony's A1E and A8F OLED or LG's own E8 and W8 OLED models) but we think the OLED C8 offers the best price-to-performance ratio of any TV under the sun in the year 2018. Read the full review: LG OLED C8 (OLED55C8, OLED65C8) http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/U6D3ofXKriRQ8SrHtFkjL4.jpg http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/bs8tFd23RfSmxoq3HfPd5P.jpg Sony’s second-generation OLED flagship, the A9F, is coming at a good time – just as Samsung and LG have stepped up their games with the Samsung Q9FN QLEDand LG E8 OLED, Sony has fired back with a phenomenal OLED of its own. Much better than last year's A1E, the A9F is unquestionably Sony’s best OLED offering to date, and would've been the best OLED of the year if the C8 didn't exist. While we experienced some minor issues (notably Black level crushing on Dolby Vision, and that Netflix Calibrated mode), niggles are to be expected on a set as ambitious as this. If you can live with the slightly idiosyncratic design, and afford the asking price, it’s a glorious UHD display. Read the full review: Sony Bravia A9F OLED http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/U6D3ofXKriRQ8SrHtFkjL4.jpg http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/oQWGxWxRtx3xM6rFGaKbQ6.jpg LG E8 OLED 4K TV Having potentially pushed the hardware capabilities of its current OLED screen technology as far as they can go, LG has for 2018 turned its attention to the software that drives these screens – and this shift in focus has yielded surprisingly impressive results, improving and even removing many of the residual niggles associated with 2017’s already in truth outstanding 4K OLED sets. The E8 OLED loses a bit of ground sonically from its predecessor, and it can be hard to justify the cost when stacked against the almost identical C8 OLED - but, if none of that stops, you rest assured that the E8 is still one of the best 4K TVs of 2018. Read the full review: LG E8 OLED (OLED55E8, OLED65E8) http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/U6D3ofXKriRQ8SrHtFkjL4.jpg http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/TRmjce2S2BVX4vN638ncVT.jpg Sony Bravia X900F 4K TV Short and sweet, the 65X900F is a brilliant mid-priced 4K TV. Every one of the improvements Sony has introduced over and above last year’s already excellent X900E series – better processing, more brightness, slightly more backlight dimming zones, improved motion performance – delivers the goods, resulting in picture quality that humbles many more expensive TVs. Its Android TV system and some generally minor backlight clouding stop it short of perfection, but it’s hard to imagine any similarly priced upcoming 65-inch UHD rival getting the better of it. Read the full review: Sony BRAVIA XBR-X900F http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/U6D3ofXKriRQ8SrHtFkjL4.jpg http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/aFYYdmQqFMkzVq2FZfAypE.jpg TCL 6-Series 4K TV If you have deep pockets and a checkbook filled with blank checks, we’d tell you to reach deep and shell out for only the best 4K TVs on the market – LG’s crazy-thin OLED W8 or Samsung’s ultra-bright Q9FN QLED. But that’s not always realistic: for the vast, vast majority of us, our budget to spend on a 4K UHD TV is limited to somewhere under $1,000 – and often it's even less than that. To that end, it’s absolutely fair to say that the TCL 6-Series is the best TV you can possibly get in this price range. Its performance per dollar is unmatched and its picture quality – despite a few minor flaws – will truly impress you. Said simply, if there’s a better value 4K TV on the market, we’ve yet to see it. Read the full review: TCL 6-Series (R615, R617) http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/U6D3ofXKriRQ8SrHtFkjL4.jpg http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/EF4Y2yb6DqN6acJ6ReoykM.jpg Samsung Q7FN QLED 4K TV While Samsung’s Q7FN isn't quite the pinnacle of 4K QLED technology – that honor is reserved for the Q9FN – it is a great compromise between price and performance, offering a bright screen, three forms of HDR and incredibly accurate colors for $1,799 (£1,999, AU$3,699). Ambient Mode adds a design aesthetic sure to please even the keenest of eyes and its low-latency game mode makes it a competent companion for the Xbox One X and PS4 Pro. HDR+ mode helps liven up HD/SDR content and of course 4K/HDR content has an eye-watering sheen when viewed on this set. While the Q7FN isn’t quite a home run, it’s still a solid swing at the mid-range for 4K UHD TVs. It has a number of top-shelf features with good black levels, but has its share of problems, too, like some audio reproduction issues and a slower operating platform. Thankfully, there’s nothing to complain about with the TV’s 4K HDR performance. In fact, considering how much work it takes for other screens to come close to natural colors, the P-Series is supremely good right out of the box. Here's what you can expect from the annual tech-stravaganza.]What are the best over-ear headphones?http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/JKzTNsGEtVsPb6yBgQtRVB.jpg While Beyerdynamic may not be as well known as its German brother, Sennheiser, the audio company has a history of creating some of the best sounding audio gear on the market – the company’s DT770, DT880 and DT990 were renown for their excellent build and sound quality. Above them all, however, stands the Beyerdynamic DT 1990 Pro, an open-back version of the Beyerdynamic DT 1770 Pro, a headphone which won our Editor’s Choice for its imaging, design and value for the money. Both headphones are priced the same ($599, £589, AU$1,159), so you won’t find a deal picking up one over the other. The difference here comes down to sound. As they’re open-back, the DT 1990 Pro are meant to be used at home or in the studio for serious analytical listening. Sound is able to get in and out but the good news is that the open-back design gives you the DT 1990 Pro a great sense of space. Soundstage is quite wide, too, allowing even the most lackadaisical listener to pinpoint the exact location of where each instrument is playing. If you've been searching for a pair of Hi-Fi headphones that are used by some of the world's leading audio engineers, these are them. Perhaps on sheer sound quality they're a notch off the likes of the top Oppo or Sennheiser offerings – but the fact that you'd be saving vast amounts of cash by opting for the Philips is just a no brainer. Are they expensive? To some no, to most yes; but for the sheer listening experience they deliver you'd be hard pressed to take them off after putting them on, even using them with portable HRA players and mobile phones. That said, they really do push the boundaries of what you can do with a dynamic driver. All praise to Beyerdynamic for putting together such a wonderful product. The Sennheiser HD 800 are, hands down, one of the best-sounding pairs of over-ear headphones on the planet, affectionately praised by inner circles of audiophiles the world over. When paired with the proper hardware, they sound absolutely excellent – balanced in every way. Unfortunately, they're supremely expensive and require more audio equipment than the average consumer is ready to buy. Should you find yourself in need – or, let's be honest, in want – of amazing over-ear headphones, these are them. Its build quality and detailed sound really impress and we think bass-lovers will like the slight mid-bass emphasis and control in the lower registers while not sacrificing the mids or highs. The headphone reveals a good level of detail throughout the frequency range and never get harsh in the upper registers. To that end, it’s hard to fault the $250 (about £190, AU$338) 1MORE Triple Driver Over-Ear, making them an easy recommendation for the price. They have a tight, refined sound that offers an almost unmatched level of detail. That said, the fact remains that they’re a comparatively feature-light pair of cans. If you want to spend less then you can get a much more portable pair that’ll be better suited to the morning commute or a plane ride thanks to additional features like noise-cancellation and Bluetooth connectivity. But, if you’re looking to invest in a seriously high-quality pair of headphones to listen to a high-quality music collection, then there are few that can match the P9s at this price point. Other headphones offer better sound quality, longer-range wireless connectivity, or better battery life, but the Sony WH-1000XM2 manage to offer the best balance of features and performance. It's also got a couple of interesting tricks up its sleeve like a selective noise-cancellation mode that lets in certain useful sounds, and a shortcut that allows you to quickly hear what's going on around you. Offering all of this without a serious price-premium over the competition means the Sony WH-1000XM2 are a great choice for on-the-go music listeners. However, Bluetooth audio has improved tremendously over the years. There are now plenty of wireless headphones that can please the music enthusiast, with Hi-Res Audio support being more and more prevalent. That said, the Audio-Technica ATH-SR5BT feature some of the best wired and wireless sound quality for a headphone under $200 (£150). They play well with all music genres and offer a near-flat response curve. They're extremely comfortable for long listening sessions and are well built. Battery life is equally impressive with nearly 40 hours of playback from a charge. And while they lack some features of more expensive wireless headphones like active noise cancelling and multi-device pairing, these are tradeoffs worth making for phenomenal sound. Sound is spacious, detailed, and makes you want to rediscover your music library. Their bulky design and average noise isolation make them terrible for travel but if you’re looking for the best sound from a wireless headphone, this is it. This time the big addition is Google Assistant, which can be summoned with the press of a button. Otherwise these are more or less the same headphones that we enjoyed the first time around. The QC35s aren't the best sounding out there, but their noise-cancellation is class-leading and if that's your priority then they're a great choice. Read the full review: Bose QC35 II http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/8GjrWfXvWPbTdM3c6mDQjG.jpg If Sony hadn't already blown us all away with the excellent Sony WH-1000XM2, then the Sony WH-1000XM3 would be the best noise-cancelling headphones available today, hands down. Yes, some subtle tweaks have been made to the WH-1000XM2's design to bring you this latest version, making it lighter than ever and swapping out the microUSB port for USB Type-C. However, these changes are subtle. So unless you've got cash to splash on the most comfortable and best-looking headphones and travel frequently, you should probably save some money by picking up the Sony WH-1000XM2 – they’re nearly as good and now even less than they were before thanks to a recent price drop. Read the full review: Sony WH-1000XM3 http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/fXZCXQnd3cPxs6GhaBivxj.jpg Overall, Microsoft’s Surface headphones are surprisingly good, with a stunningly warm sound, and generous bass frequencies, which means your music will sound great whether you’re listening to subby hip-hop or acoustic singer-songwriters. One criticism of this warm sound is that it can take some of the attack away from lower-mid frequencies, which some users may find a bit underwhelming. However, if sharp trebles and mids tend to give you listening fatigue, these could be the perfect headphones for you. The calling card of these headphones is the active noise cancellation, which we felt worked really well, and we loved how easy it was to control this using the inbuilt dials on each housing. Although we were initially unconvinced by the high price (particularly when you can buy quality cans from heritage audio brands for less), the features work so seamlessly that it feels justified.
