We proudly announce the silEnT Enemy Territory mod 0.3.0.
We worked hard for it to become what it is in 0.3.0 version. We made many things server side as well as client side.
To cut the story short, here are the top things in 0.3.0 release:

Added: weapon banks shown during weapon change - incorporated into HUD editor (introduced new client cvars for this: cg_wbShowDuration, cg_wbOrientation, cg_wbWideSlots) Fixed: defect with following FT (killed player was picked when he/she was the FT leader - but next FT member should be picked) Improved the database performance. Added new shrubbot flag '/' that will disables private messages from levels or individual players. Fixed !useredit add command. Before the command checked only valid command flags were added. Now it accepts any flags. Added kills/deaths/spree counters hud display managed by cg_killsDisplay cvar. Added: predefined HUDs can be now chosen from the HUD configuration menu Added: new predefined HUDs: etpro, etpro2 (thanks to Dragon) Fixed: in chat after every map players' pings are very weird (http://mygamingtalk....c/437-big-ping/) Added: new game type: Team Death Match (easy to be configured server side and client side) Added: when alternate HUD is chosen with compass in the lower part of the screen the compass slides out to bottom.
The 0.3.0 is no longer provided as download. Use 0.3.1 instead.
Bandwidth definitely is a problem. Strato offers you unlimited traffic but in fact it is not unlimited. If you'll reach a certain amount of traffic, they will either reduce your bandwidth to a value you would have got when hosting at home or cancel your contract. Also don't even think about getting good download rates on a shared server with 30.000 domains. The only way to run a (fairly) large download portal is to get a dedicated server or sign some co-location contract.
I was playing on FA silent server (0.3.0) today. There was a guy (clanmember) with mg42, he was running with it while shooting. When he was crounching and shooting towards me I couldn't even hit him. It happened couple times, everytime my crosshair was aimed directly on head. I lost smth like 15 bullets and didn't hit anything. I also tried to aim below head = same result. It is like mg42 is protecting the whole body. Don't know if it's bug but I think I posted it in a right section.
