Microsoft has confirmed that its online gaming service isn’t working for everyone on Xbox One and Xbox 360 today. The company updated its Xbox Live Status site to indicate that “core services” aren’t functioning properly, and they are preventing many people from signing into their accounts. This is preventing those gamers from playing online multiplayer games like Call of Duty: Black Ops III and Destiny. This outage is also preventing people from booting up primarily single-player games like Fallout 4 as well as video services like Netflix, Amazon Instant Video, and Hulu. This comes after Microsoft servers went offline for around two hours over the weekend, which caused issues for Xbox Live and PC games like Minecraft. “Our team is already investigating and we hope to have everything back to normal ASAP,” reads Microsoft’s update on its status page. “Thanks for your patience while we work. We’ll update you again as soon as we have more information.” This does not seem like it is affecting most Xbox One owners. Additionally, if you are already online, then you should avoid updating your console to reduce your chances of getting a sign-in error. Microsoft’s Xbox Live has had a shaky 2016 so far. In February, the service had a week of consistent problems that caused all kinds of connectivity problems. That is on top of a matchmaking error in January that forced Snoop Dogg to post the following plea to Microsoft founder Bill Gates.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TODuEtTC3Y8 Source http://venturebeat.com/2016/03/07/xbox-live-down-again-for-some-as-microsoft-confirms-sign-in-issues/
