If you're looking for a killer deal on a pre-owned iPhone, then you've come to the right place. For a limited time, Sprint is offering a pre-owned iPhone 8 for just $6 per month. This offer runs through May 23 and is for new and existing customers who add a new line of service with Sprint's 18-month Flex lease. Apple's iPhone 8 is a solid and reliable phone, featuring a 4.7-inch display, 12MP camera and touch ID fingerprint for secure authorization. The iPhone 8 has the ability to charge wirelessly and offers a battery life that can last a full day on a single charge. This particular deal from Sprint is for a pre-owned device, which means it may have visible wear and tear but has been tested for functionality and comes with a 90-day limited warranty. Sprint's 18-month Flex plan lets you upgrade or return your phone after 12 payments or you can own the device by paying $6 per month for an additional six months. Amazon Music Unlimited is the mega-retailer's version of Spotify. And if you sign up and pay for just one month of the service, you can get yourself a nifty Amazon Echo Dot smart speaker for just 99p instead of the usual £49.99. There's never been a better Alexa deal on the market. So yes, the catch to getting this super cheap price is having to sign up for another service, but considering it only costs £14.99 and you can cancel it straight away so that's the only payment you make, it's still a fantastic offer. You might not want to cancel the excellent music streaming service though, especially as it works so well with Alexa smart speakers like the Echo Dot with you being able to simply request songs, artists and albums with voice commands. The family plan allows you to share access to over 50 million songs on six accounts to be played on smart speakers, mobiles, laptops, Fire TV devices and more. Amazon isn't insisting you sign up for a long period of time. All you need to do is pay for a single month after the free trial period ends. Amazon will then send you a discount code which you can use to discount an Echo Dot down to just 99p. Amazon Music Unlimited and Echo Dot dealThe promotion for the super cheap Echo Dot runs until May 24, and once you have your discount code you have until June 30 to redeem it. You can see the full T&Cs on the promo page once you click through, but we've covered the most important parts - namely that you're free to cancel the subscription to Amazon Music Unlimited once that first payment of £14.99 has gone through. If the 'family plan' is bit overkill for your needs, but you enjoy Amazon Music Unlimited, once you've received your discount code and ordered the Echo Dot, you could always downgrade your membership to standard version for £9.99 a month, or if you're an Amazon Prime member, £7.99 a month. Not a Prime member? Give it a go with a free trial and you can test our the super fast delivery options and film/TV streaming service too. The Amazon Prime Day deals are coming in July with some huge discounts on multiple Amazon devices. And while it's possible that this promo might return, going off past years, we think it's more likely we'll see the Echo Dot go down to £29.99 - £24.99 at the absolute most. And if you end up sticking with the Music Unlimited service, that might be a perfect opportunity to pick up some extra speakers to dot around the house or beef up the sound in one room. You can at last get incredible 5G phone speeds in the US today, according to our tests, but only in two cities and only if you do what we're calling 'the 5G shuffle.' We were able to test the Verizon 5G network in Chicago using a Samsung Galaxy S10 5G (and we'll stick around to keep doing so until Tuesday on our own), and we've been able to pull down consistent speeds topping 1Gbps. One of our 5G tests peaked at 1.385Gbps. But to get these headline-worthy speeds, we had to basically move (or dance) around the 5G nodes that sit above lampposts on specific blocks in Chicago. It's reportedly the same in the only other US city with active Verizon 5G nodes, Minneapolis. http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/jSsCBvfUcNoUS3LqHHgrPT.jpg Amazing 5G speeds, with some caveats TechRadar became the first outlet with a 5G phone when the Moto Z3 5G launched last month, but the Verizon 5G network was just getting underway. It either wasn't as fast back then, or we didn't get consistent-enough signal to reach the heights we're seeing now. It even frequently dropped back down to 4G LTE mid-test. Now, five weeks later and with the Galaxy S10 5G in hand, we've gotten speeds that made the Verizon engineers on hand from New York visibly excited. They're seeing the nearly 1.4Gbps speeds in the wild for the first time, too. Speeds tests using the Ookla app offered us some insight into peak raw speeds, and they were great. But it was also important to do real-world tests – while doing the 5G shuffle – to see how Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Android game downloads did. The most shocking 5G test? Stranger Things (Entire First Season) on 5G: 38.78 secondsStranger Things (Entire First Season) on 4G: 1 hour 16 minutesYes, we waited on the same rainy street corner in Chicago to test these speeds. One finished in under a minute, and the other took one hour and 16 minutes. http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/WgT292ijVumS69wKVjDwAT.jpg The difference is staggering in this 5G test. We used the Galaxy S10 5G connected to Verizon's 5G ultra wideband signal. The 4G comparison test used an iPhone XS Max on AT&T's getting '5Ge' signal (which isn't actual 5G, as we've reported multiple times). We were also able to download Fortnite in 2 minutes and 55 seconds and Asphalt 9: Legends in 2 minutes and 23 seconds on the Galaxy S10 5G. While these 5G tests weren't at nearly 1.4Gbps, they were fast (around 1Gbps) and depended on if the app maker was optimized to deliver fast speeds. Downloading the game PUBG from the Google Play Store, for example, was a bit slower than downloading the same game file from the Galaxy App Store. In other words, the pull from our 5G device and direct line of sight of the 5G node was important, but so is the push from Google, Netflix and other content providers. We'll continue to update our week-long 5G test as we get more time the the Galaxy S10 5G and compare it to 4G LTE in Chicago. http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/techradar/digital-home/~4/lmBZgQFxhbc

If you're looking for the best action camera, then you've come to the right place. Action cameras are unlike any other kind of camera. They're designed to be attached to helmets, surfboards, cars and other objects, and they're small, tough and simple to operate, with a lens that captures the world in high-definition video. Their small size and dramatic POV ('point of view') footage has made them popular with extreme sports participants, who capture their adventures by attaching cameras to themselves or their equipment. They're also used by TV production companies where using a regular video camera would be impossible. You don't have to be an adrenaline-junkie or filming your own TV show. Action cameras are also great fun for the family, especially on days out or vacations when you simply want to hit record and document you time together. Who makes the best action camera though? GoPro is without question the market leader - in fact, they invented this whole action camera genre. They're not alone though, with a number of new rivals out there to tempt you. When it comes to key features on action cameras, most now shoot 4K footage, though some do these better than others, offering faster frame rates for buttery-smooth footage, while the very best action cameras have slick image stabilization systems to make the most of this. While action cameras are principally for shooting video, the best action cameras also shoot pretty decent still images as well, though don't expect anything better than a point-and-shoot compact camera. Other features to consider when looking for the best action camera include Wi-Fi, GPS and touchscreen control. These all bump up the price, and while they are invaluable in some situations, you can still get great footage without them. Before we look at our top picks of the best action cameras you can buy right now, GoPro has just announced three new action cameras. The top of the range GoPro Hero7 Black replaces Hero6 Black and is our best action camera pick right now. We'd even recommend you now avoid the Hero6 Black. Don't get us wrong, it's not a bad action camera at all, it's very good, but with the price of the older model only a few dollars or pounds less than the Hero7 Black, you're better off spending your money on the newer model. http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/oyYK5qmxghsTkZPPmJ3DbK.jpg Best action cameras in 2019http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/PpucsZUvemnzATmoNW8VUE.jpg Image Credit: TechRadar While it may share pretty much of the same headline video specs as the Hero6 Black that it replaces, the Hero7 Black offers a number of big improvements. The most significant of this is the addition of GoPro's all-new HyperSmooth image stabilization technology. It really is very impress, delivering gimbal-smooth video footage. TimeWarp video is a further new feature, one that combines the idea of regular frame-by-frame time-lapse shooting (which you can still do separately) with HyperSmooth – essentially, a stabilised hyperlapse, while the user interface has been overhauled for a much better user experience. Delivering buttery-smooth 4K video footage the Hero7 Black is the best action camera you can buy. Read our in-depth GoPro Hero7 Black reviewBuying guide: GoPro Hero 7 Black vs Hero 6 Black vs Hero 5 Blackhttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/oyYK5qmxghsTkZPPmJ3DbK.jpg http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/S6iu4T5r5PCLqZXGCZAXWo.jpg Image Credit: TechRadar If you're aquatic-minded, or you need to know exactly where you were, and how fast you are going when you took a video, buy a GoPro Hero7 Black. However, if you're more interested in saving money on features you didn't even want, the Yi 4K+ Action Camera is one of the simplest and best designed gadgets around. Everyone considering buying an action cam should have a look at the Yi 4K+ Action Camera because it's almost exactly the same and, in some ways, even better than a GoPro. Read our in-depth Yi 4K+ Action Camera reviewhttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/oyYK5qmxghsTkZPPmJ3DbK.jpg http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/ejSKaxc5eV5Kc5kgCshgXE.jpg Image Credit: TechRadar While the Hero 7 Black is the top of the GoPro pile, the Silver fills the void beneath this and while it can’t quite pull off all the fancy tricks as its big brother, it’s priced far aggressively, especially once you see just how much tech you still get. This includes stabilised 4K video recording, waterproofing down to 10m, together with a 2-inch touchscreen on the back and Voice Control that allows you to instruct the camera to perform almost all main functions without you raising a finger. A fine choice for first-time users. This tiny second-generation camera boasts a large 1-inch sensor (just like Sony's premium compacts) that can shoot 15.3MP still images, while there's a top class Zeiss Tessar T* 24mm f/4 fixed wide-angle lens. Not only ultra compact, but crushproof and waterproof with it, the RX0 II can shoot 4K footage at 30fps and Full HD footage at 120fps. This second-generation model comes with a Soft Skin Effect mode and advanced Eye AF, while Sony's also managed to squeeze in a tilt-able LCD screen (capable of tilting up to 180° and down by 90°). It's a bit fiddly to use and expensive, so doesn't lend itself to the casual user, but for those looking for a rugged camera that can shoot great 4K footage, this shouldn't be ignored. http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/oyYK5qmxghsTkZPPmJ3DbK.jpg http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/r975ggqnRL2faXMqkuZRYo.jpg Olfi has improved on the original One.Five with the new Black version, bringing with it a number of internal improvements, as well as improved external microphone performance. All in all, there's not much an Olfi One.Five Black owner is left wanting for, despite the unit costing half the price of GoPro's leading camera. It misses some of the more advanced features found on other, pricier action cams, but for those who simply want to capture good-looking footage without breaking the bank, there's very little to complain about, especially as it comes bundled as a great little kit. http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/oyYK5qmxghsTkZPPmJ3DbK.jpg http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/86LcyufPhrdepsaeQvveFH.jpg Image Credit: TechRadar It may have been overshadowed by both the Hero6 Black and Hero7 Black, but the Hero5 Black still has a lot to offer. Shooting 4K footage up to 30fps, video footage is incredibly smooth, while the ability to shoot stills in raw format brings even more flexibility. Waterproof down to 10m without the need for a protective case, it's also simple to use, while the addition of a rear touchscreen, voice control and GPS make it one of the most feature-packed cams currently available. The great news is that it's never been cheaper, making it an even more tempting proposition. Read our in-depth GoPro Hero5 Blackhttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/oyYK5qmxghsTkZPPmJ3DbK.jpg http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/8ucUJvoGKi9FNFKYqrZzYF.jpg Image Credit: Yi How often do you take an action cam underwater? If the answer's not a lot, then the Yi 4K Action Camera could be for you. While there's an optional underwater case available, the camera isn't waterproof. There is a large and responsive touchscreen, a big battery and a fast file transfers however, and while it may lack a few niceties – and we would include lens distortion correction and image stabilisation in that list – the Yi 4K Action Camera remains a great value addition to any adventurer's kit bag. Read our in-depth Yi 4K Action Camera reviewhttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/oyYK5qmxghsTkZPPmJ3DbK.jpg http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/4ubaej9ixJwroU4mBmgFQ5.jpg Image Credit: TechRadar If you've been eyeing up a GoPro for some time, but haven't been able to justify the price, the stripped-down Hero could be the answer. It doesn't shoot 4K, but does shoot nice and smooth Full HD footage and is a great camera for the novice or casual user who just wants to capture the action without worrying about which frame rate or resolution they should be using. There are better specified-action cameras out there for a similar price, but they don't have the refined design and polished control of the Hero. Read our in-depth GoPro Hero reviewhttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/oyYK5qmxghsTkZPPmJ3DbK.jpg http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/rdZpMfYs9pZdkXjkC29ByA.jpg Image Credit: TechRadar Bullet shape cams might have fallen out of fashion recently thanks to GoPro and its box-shaped cameras, but the TomTom Bandit bucks the trend. In fact, the Bandit packs features that other manufacturers will need to follow if they're to keep up with this newcomer. Taking years of GPS experience, TomTom has built in a series of sensors that not only record location but speed and G-force too, so that when these sensors pick up that something exciting has happened they automatically tag the footage. Back in the pub and with the app open and connected, a quick shake of your phone and the app will automatically edit your footage ready for upload. It really couldn't be easier. While it shoots 4K footage, the frame rate is pretty slow and jerky. Don't let that put you off though as the Yi Lite can shoot some really smooth Full HD footage up for 60fps. With easy to use touchscreen navigation, a decent app and all the essential features most occasional users want, the tough, reliable and affordable Yi Lite proves an impressive entry-level action camera. If you're looking for something even more affordable, take a look at Yi's Discovery Action Camera - you won't find a better camera for the price. While it's not as rugged as dedicated action camera rivals, the Osmo Pocket has a clever trick up its sleeve in the shape of a built-in gimbal. Gimbals as designed to counteract unwanted movement and help you shoot super-smooth videos - while GoPro's Hero7 Black has some clever image stabilization tricks, there's no substitute for dedicated hardware. The Osmo Pocket features three-axis stabilized gimbal and measures just four inches tall. The 1/2.3-inch sensor is capable of recording 12MP still images and 4K video footage up to 60fps, while there are built-in dual microphones that use advanced noise-canceling algorithms, which DJI says should ensure that you capture high-quality audio to match your footage. Whether you're getting up before dawn to hike up mountains for that one special sunrise shot, or commuting with your camera in tow, every photographer needs to keep their kit safe and protected, and from backpacks and daysacks to holsters and rollers, photographers can now carry their kit, accessories (and even some lunch) in all kinds of luggage. Most of bags featured here are for DSLR or mirrorless cameras, whose interchangeable lenses, demand some thought when you're mobile. Most also now find room for a laptop – as big as 17-inches in some cases – or at least a tablet; with post-processing so integral to digital photography, who wants to wait until they get home to see how a photoshoot turned out? http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/oyYK5qmxghsTkZPPmJ3DbK.jpg Best camera bags in 2019http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/bUBjdER5k4eSoYWGjjdmdd.jpg Though it might seem pretty pricey, the Everyday Messenger is bristling with clever touches and is well worth the outlay. A spring-loaded flap-catch with four fastening points is both secure yet easy to use, letting the bag expand or contract to suit varying loads. The flap also has a zippered top passthrough for even easier access. There are slots for a 13-inch laptop and tablet, plus you can attach a tripod on top. Rather than using typical foam partitions, the main section contains innovative dividers that snap around and over individual items. Everything’s supported by a wide and supple shoulder strap, and we also like the stabilizing waist strap that prevents the bag bouncing as you stride. Beautiful build quality and attention to detail seals the deal. Read our in-depth Peak Design Everyday Messenger 13 V2 http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/oyYK5qmxghsTkZPPmJ3DbK.jpg http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/C3UF87aco44saVyZsW6WUb.jpg It’s tough to create a truly special camera backpack, as competition in this area is particularly fierce, but Gitzo has come up with a real winner in the Adventury 30L. Designed to accommodate a pro DSLR (including a Canon EOS-1D X Mark II or Nikon D5) with a 70-200mm f/4 lens attached, plus a second body and up to four more lenses. Alternatively, you can pack a 400mm f/4, a camera body and a couple of lenses or small accessories. There's also space for a 15-inch laptop as well. As you'd expect for a Gitzo product, the quality is excellent, with great internal padding, while the bag itself is made from weather-resistant materials, with coated zippers and bottom section. Should conditions get really bad there's also a rain cover, while the color of the materials used is designed to help the bag blend in when you're outdoors. http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/oyYK5qmxghsTkZPPmJ3DbK.jpg http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/nMVpAJHcbWDPwae4nYv3HV.jpg This backpack zips up a 13-inch laptop and a tablet in a front pocket, while the main compartment for camera gear is accessed under a padded, zipped lid on the back-facing side. It fits one DSLR body and three lenses, including a 70-200mm, and there are some useful design flourishes – as well as a roomy top section for accessories (and perhaps even a packed lunch), there’s a pull-out rain cover in the base, and an expandable tripod pocket. It's also sized to house a DJI Mavic Pro drone. http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/oyYK5qmxghsTkZPPmJ3DbK.jpg http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/S47gPHzE7ygMjSG9Qbv8oD.jpg This pocket-packed shoulder bag somehow manages to squeeze in both an 11-inch laptop and a tablet, as well as camera gear, while the padded kit compartment flat-packs when empty. Inside, three snap-shut pouches spring open to grip a compact mirrorless camera or DSLR (though it's best for smaller entry-level models). It’s probably not rugged enough for landscape photographers, but it does well around the city – and it makes for a great carry-on bag for flights. It's even got a pass-through for a telescopic handle, so it can piggy-back on rolling luggage at airports. http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/oyYK5qmxghsTkZPPmJ3DbK.jpg http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/uWppWE6frSJRyoy2EKFGV3.jpg It's luxury choice for sure, but this stylish leather messenger bag is something a bit special. Available in either black or chestnut finishes (as well as a more affordable charcoal cotton twill), this is a great choice if you want to travel light, with the bag itself only weighing in at a mere 0.82kg. The main compartment has space for a DSLR or mirrorless camera with a lens attached, along with a divider so you can pop an additional lens in as well. The finish is first class, with a very comfy padded strap, while there's also a nicely integrated, magnetic, double flap closure system. If you prefer, you can use an optional zipper closure for added security as well as quick access. A premium choice, but a lovely bag if you're looking to treat yourself. http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/oyYK5qmxghsTkZPPmJ3DbK.jpg http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/3KeCeaP3S4B4VFjtr5G8iJ.jpg If you're going to be travelling a lot with you're camera, then the Hexad Access Duffel is the answer. Featuring a clamshell, one half of the bag can be set aside for clothes and other travel essentials, while the other half for photo gear, with dual side-access pockets. These can accommodate Wandrd's medium camera cubes (sold separately) which offer protection for your kit. If you just want to use one, you've get even more space for day to day stuff. There's also a padded laptop sleeve, stowable backpack straps and a handy expandable laundry pocket. Then there's the weather-sealed materials used, while the overall finish is excellent. Perfect if you're going to be on a city break and want to travel light. http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/oyYK5qmxghsTkZPPmJ3DbK.jpg http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/XZMXgcShWNswmpFmrkBDTT.jpg Ideal for professional photographers or anyone flying off on a landscape photography expedition, a safari or or even just storing your kit when it's not in use, you won't find a better solution than the Peli 1510 Protector Case. It's not just the protection it provides that makes it a great buy – the ease with which you can organize and access your camera kit on location makes it incredibly useful. It's a little heavy and bulky, but it's worth it for the protection it provides. The Kontrast doesn’t quite fill that niche, but it does act as a stop-gap – large enough to take a reasonably big lens (a 105mm fits fine), it can be stuffed into a backpack or slung over a shoulder while out on the trail. Inside there’s a ‘hammock system’ halfway down for cradling and securing the lens, while the sides also have pockets for accessories and memory cards. Solid and good value, the Kontrast impresses. http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/oyYK5qmxghsTkZPPmJ3DbK.jpg http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/c7p7M2JtUubvFSjrWGjz39.jpg Designed for compact mirrorless APS-C cameras like the Sony A6500 and Panasonic's Lumix G85/G80, this holster-style case makes good use of space. A camera fitted with an 18-50mm lens can fit inside the main compartment, while there’s a zip-around section attached to the bottom for another lens. It’s compact, sturdy and offers a lot of protection, but it's worth trying it out with your specific camera and lens to make sure it all fits neatly. As well as a shoulder strap and belt loops, the Holster XS Plus includes a few zipped pockets for SD cards and accessories. http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/oyYK5qmxghsTkZPPmJ3DbK.jpg http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/JagEMd8EGxvkNs57HcBmHe.jpg Looking more like traditional urban luggage than a camera bag, this bug-shaped backpack has a hard yet padded front lid that zips all around, and drops down for easy access. The dividers inside are easy to move and secure, and make it simple to configure for a DSLR and two to three lenses. If used in that configuration there's just a small zipped area for other items, but an UltraFlex divider can be used to make the bag half for camera gear and half for other stuff, making the Tahoe BP 150 handy for anything from street photography to a serious hike. There's also an organizer area in the lid with a tablet pouch, and a couple of mesh side pockets. http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/oyYK5qmxghsTkZPPmJ3DbK.jpg http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/8KcWsdncUscCTwX69Jaj2W.jpg This backpack isn't strictly a camera backpack, but is certainly worth consideration if you're looking for a quality bag to stuff plenty into if you're going to be out for the day. While there's no padding for camera gear, you'll easily be able to fit a padded camera pouch into the 22 liter main compartment. As well as this, there's also a large 15-inch laptop compartment and elastic side pockets. Nice and comfy fully loaded, this is a great bag to wonder round the city with camera in hand. http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/oyYK5qmxghsTkZPPmJ3DbK.jpg 10 essential accessories for your new cameraBest camera accessories: 21 essential bits of kit for your cameraThe 10 best tripods you can buy right now5 essential photography filters (and why you can't live without them)http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/techradar/digital-home/~4/SqPVC38VSH8

Sky has announced a new offer that aims to give its customers the fastest broadband speeds possible - and it's aptly named Sky Broadband Boost. Yup, this is a direct attack on BT Broadband and Virgin Media broadband and it might just work. Sky Broadband Boost is clearly a response to the new Ofcom rules that mean providers must pay fines to customers when they fail to offer the broadband speeds they promised at point of sale. As such this new Boost offer is being put in place to make sure every Sky broadband user gets exactly what they're paying for - it will be added on automatically to all new packages. That means that Broadband Boost offers daily monitoring of your line and if any fault is found you'll get a text saying Sky is working to fix it fast. On top of that, if you need an engineer visit, that will be available for free even at weekends and evenings. Sky also says if your speeds drop it'll pop 2GB of data in your Sky Mobile Piggybank, presuming you have the mobile package too. Also launched with this new service is an app to control your service better, called Sky Broadband Buddy. It's designed for parents who want a bit more control over what their children are getting up to online and monitor screen time. If you want to discuss the new perk in more detail and talk through package options, you can call 0800-014-2334 to speak to somebody about Sky broadband deals. It's almost time for the finale of the 2018/19 English football season. It ends, as ever, with the FA Cup Final, where Manchester City and Watford will do battle under the arch of Wembley Stadium. Is the outcome a foregone conclusion? Or is there a shock in the West London air? Whoever you're cheering on, you can get a Man City vs Watford live stream in the 2019 FA Cup Final wherever you are. No matter how big a Hornet's fan you are, there's no denying that Man City are overwhelming favourites for this game. A quick look at their team-sheet (and how much the club has spent on players) should tell you everything you have to know. Aguero. Kompany. De Bruyne. Sterling. Sane. Silva squared. And with Pep Guardiola calling the shots from the bench, there aren't many games that the blue side of Manchester go into as second favourites. And now with the Premier League and EFL Cup in the trophy cabinet, the historic treble is well and truly on. It's Watford's first FA Cup Final appearance since 1984 and they will likely lean on influential leader and club captain Troy Deeney who will lead the line and set the tone and tempo for his team mates. With flair players Maxi Pereyra and semi-final hero Gerard Deulofeu, Watford have the creativity and skill in midfield to trouble the Wolves defense, but they certainly won't have it all their own way. You can watch the players try to carve out their little piece of history by getting a live stream of all the FA Cup final action from wherever on Earth you are. Below we're going to talk you through the best ways to watch the FA Cup final in the UK and the rest of the world so you can ensure you can easily live stream one of the biggest matches in the footballing calendar. Twitter is making some smart introductions for TweetDeck, including the most requested feature – following a poll of the user base – which is the ability to add GIFs when composing a new tweet within the app. As well as GIFs, you can also add emoji and create polls directly from within the Tweet Composer, plus there’s support for threads and image tagging. Of course, it was always possible to manually add GIFs or emoji (by copying and pasting from elsewhere, for example), but it’s handier and more convenient to have this functionality integrated. However, note that as the above official announcement tweet clarifies, these features are just in testing right now. However, it appears the updated Tweet Composer is currently rolling out, and some users already have access to it. Twitter limits how many people you can follow per dayCan Facebook and Twitter exist without fake news and trolling? We've compiled 11 tips for owning TwitterScheduling lossFurthermore, some of those folks are complaining about the ability to schedule tweets not being available in the new Composer. That should be in the works soon enough, we’d imagine, but for now, it’s a case of giving with one hand, and taking with the other. More broadly speaking, TweetDeck users will be pleased at this development, not just because of the extra abilities that are coming to the app, but simply because of the fact that Twitter is actually paying some attention to the product. And, hopefully that bodes well for its future. How to use TwitterVia The Verge http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/techradar/digital-home/~4/1g5JkiVJAI0

Instagram is increasingly placing more of its eggs in its Stories, Shopping, and IGTV baskets, with the photography and videography-centric social media platform now bringing these features to an even broader audience. The Explore tab of Instagram – a section of the app designed to expose users to new, yet personalized content – is being revamped to include relevant Stories suggestions based on your current search habits and followed accounts. While first found on the likes of Snapchat, Instagram’s adoption of the ephemeral Stories feature – short videos or images that disappear within 24 hours, thus allowing for a slightly less curated experience – has done very well on social media platforms. Another year, another NBA Western Conference Finals appearance for the Golden State Warriors. This makes it four in a row, and they haven't failed to reach the Finals in any of those. Could this be the year that their Oregon adversaries - the Portland Trail Blazers - put a stop to that? You can find out by watching a Warriors vs Trail Blazers live stream of every game with this handy guide for how to watch from anywhere on Earth. So there's no doubt that the Warriors go into this seven-game NBA playoffs series as overwhelming favorites. Having won three of the last four NBA championships, they need very little introduction. One glance at their roster demonstrates the sheer talent on show: Curry, Furant, Iguodala, Livingston. And all helmed by future Hall-of Famer Steve Kerr. They'll take some beating in the Western Conference Finals. But perhaps the Portland Trail Blazers really is the franchise to do it, having reached this stage for the first time in nearly 20 years. They squeezed unexpectedly past the Denver Nuggets in the conference semi-finals after dismantling the Oklahoma City Thunder. They'll be looking towards shooting guard CJ McCollum and center Enes Kanter to deliver some more big games if they want to overcome those Warriors. Whether you’re rooting for Golden State or Portland, we'll show you how to tune into all the action either on your TV or online. Keep reading to see how you can stream Warriors vs Trail Blazers in the 2019 NBA Western Conference Finals live online. Want to see the Eastern Conference? Get a Raptors vs Bucks live streamHow to watch the 2019 NBA Western Conference Finals online from outside your countryIf you're in the US, UK or Australia and are keen to get a live stream of the Warriors vs Trail Blazers games then scroll down this page a little as we take you through your options (whether or not you have cable). But if you're abroad and you try to watch your domestic NBA coverage then you'll be out of luck due to geo-blocking by broadcasters. That means you can't watch unless you're in your home country. But before you head off to find some dodgy Reddit stream, we'd recommend instead using a VPN - or Virtual Private Network - that will enable you to alter your IP address to one in your home country. The process is very straightforward… http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/x4WvmjGdnEUCFeqhMUrnWo.jpg Watch the NBA Western Conference Finals on TV in the USIf you've already signed up for an NBA League Pass then we're afraid that won't help you get a live stream of Warriors vs Trail Blazers. It isn't showing any NBA Playoffs games live online. The best it can do is to show the games on replay three hours after they air on TV. The broadcaster that has the exclusive rights to show it is ESPN. Or, if you're a cable cutter then you could opt for a sports streaming service instead, giving you access to ESPN without the long tie-in. What's more, every services below also come with some kind of free trial. The service will air the Warriors vs Trail Blazers series at 2am BST - good luck staying up for those! If you’re not already a Sky Sports subscriber and don’t feel like paying for the service just to watch the NBA Playoffs, don’t worry as you can buy a daily, weekly or even monthly Sky Sports Pass on Now TV. This will allow you to watch the NBA Playoffs, NBA Finals and all other sports shown on Sky. When it comes to streaming basketball online our first choice is NBA.com. With the NBA League Pass you you can watch hundreds of Live and On-Demand games on all of your favorite streaming devices including Apple TV, Chromecast, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Xbox, Playstation and even on mobile. It costs £39.99, and will give you access to all remaining NBA games live. And if you find yourself outside the UK at any stage during the playoffs then don't forget that you can always use a VPN to change your IP address back to the UK and watch any of these streaming services as if you were back at home. http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/VgyagGS9HpAEPUQtUJBfrg.jpg http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/D39crXd3gob7KPsE3LAFUo.jpg How to get an NBA live stream in AustraliaThe Western Conference games are due to start at 11am AET in Australia, so ideal if you want to get an NBA live stream around your lunch break. If you have Fox Sports, then you'll want to turn to channel 508 for the ESPN channel where each game will be streaming (for both conferences). If it's a phone or laptop you'd sooner watch from, then there's the ESPN Player instead. Or you can live stream NBA action via the Kayo Sports streaming service, which features no lock-in contracts and also includes access to over 50 sports, both live and on demand. Kayo Sports Basic Package costs $25 per month and allows users to stream across two devices simultaneously. Alternatively, the service also offers a Kayo Sports Premium Package, which provides three concurrent streams for $35 per month. The Foxtel Now and Kayo Sports apps means you can access this from your chosen device wherever you are (although you'll need a VPN if you're taking that abroad). http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/ebGZgkd4qVX7mUuvz3WNkH.jpg http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/techradar/digital-home/~4/Sr7E1qQuKeA

Microsoft is helping Sony on its next game console - or at least the game-streaming service that will be running on it: Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and Sony CEO Kenichiro Yoshida today announced their partnership and the pair’s plans to work together on game-streaming and artificial intelligence. The cornerstone of the partnership is Microsoft’s Azure cloud technology that currently powers a huge number of web applications and streaming services - which both Sony and Microsoft will continue to explore in the future. “Under the memorandum of understanding signed by the parties, the two companies will explore joint development of future cloud solutions in Microsoft Azure to support their respective game and content-streaming services,” Microsoft said in a blog post today. “In addition, the two companies will explore the use of current Microsoft Azure datacenter-based solutions for Sony’s game and content-streaming services.” The enemy of my enemy is my friendWhy is this happening? The short answer is that Sony is looking for help developing new technology for its cloud gaming service PlayStation Now and Microsoft knows a thing or two about cloud data centers. Moreover, although Sony and Microsoft have always been at ends when it comes to gaming hardware, the two now face a larger foe in the game-streaming arena: Google Stadia. The worry is that, when it arrives, Stadia could usurp Sony’s throne and smother Microsoft’s Project X Cloud service before it gets off the ground. That’s what this partnership is trying to prevent. "For Sony to scale its offering in a similar way promised by Microsoft with Project X Cloud and Google with Stadia, it needs to partner to compete."Piers Harding-Rolls According to the Director of Games Research & Lead AR/VR Analyst at IHS Markit, Piers Harding-Rolls, the partnership is about putting differences aside to create a more competitive product. “While Sony with its PS Now service is the biggest cloud gaming operator globally with 36% share of the $387 million world cloud gaming market in 2018, it is exposed in terms of cloud infrastructure and service delivery,” Harding-Rolls said in an email to TechRadar. “For Sony to scale its offering in a similar way promised by Microsoft with Project X Cloud and Google with Stadia, it needs to partner to compete.” Faster services, better hardwareThat said, while the cornerstone of the partnership clearly seems to be Microsoft’s Azure platform, the two companies will also be working together on AI developments and new semiconductors to be used in enterprise business solutions. I hope that in the areas of semiconductors and AI, leveraging each company’s cutting-edge technology in a mutually complementary way will lead to the creation of new value for society.Kenichiro Yoshida In an example listed in Microsoft’s blog post, pairing Sony’s semiconductors with Microsoft’s AI tech could “provide highly intuitive and user-friendly AI experiences” in new devices. Though it’s unclear what kind of devices those would be, and which company gets to release them. "We collaborate closely with a multitude of content creators that capture the imagination of people around the world, and through our cutting-edge technology, we provide the tools to bring their dreams and vision to reality,” said Kenichiro Yoshida, president and CEO of Sony. "Additionally, I hope that in the areas of semiconductors and AI, leveraging each company’s cutting-edge technology in a mutually complementary way will lead to the creation of new value for society.” ...just don't expect a Microsoft PS5 out of thisWhat Microsoft and Sony are making clear here is that - even though they'll pool resources for cloud gaming infrastructure research - the pair will continue to work separately on their own gaming hardware. What that means is that the PS5 will still be developed and produced entirely by Sony and the next Xbox will be made entirely by Microsoft but both could be using the same server infrastructure for their respective game-streaming services. And, considering what Google has planned with Stadia, Sony and Microsoft are going to need all the help they can get. Americans overestimate their understanding of internet security
sincity posted a topic in Technology
The number of consumers creating a website to have their own online presence is on the rise but a new survey from Google has revealed that many people drastically overestimate their understanding of internet security and online safety. After introducing the “.app” top-level domain last year as a more secure alternative to “.com”, Google Registry partnered with the Harris Poll to conduct an online survey of 1,002 adults ages 16-24 and 1,001 adults over 25 living in the US about creating websites and online security. The survey shows that website growth is on the rise with 20 percent of respondents having created a website and 48 percent planning to create one in the future. Over half (65%) said that they would consider using domains other than “.com”. Google Chrome is now marking all HTTP sites as ‘not secure’Phishing sites trick users with fake HTTPS padlockGoogle to launch .dev domainsWhen it came to online security, 55 percent of respondents gave themselves a score of A or B when the survey results paint a much different picture. Almost all (97%) got at least one question wrong on a basic six question security test and only 23 percent were able to correctly identify a link with https as being the most secure. HTTPS vs HTTPGoogle has been trying to push the idea of HTTPS everywhere for some time now as part of its goal to make the internet a more secure place and in its survey it tried to gauge consumers' understanding of the concept. Of those surveyed, 42 percent didn't realize there is a difference between using http and https in a web address. Even more surprising was the fact that Americans aged 16+ would not check for an “S” on a website where they are entering personal information even after being told that “S” means secure connection. Web owners though are making more progress moving to HTTPS and 89 out of the top 100 websites on the web now default to HTTPS. Google is doing its part as well by offering free SSL certificates from Let's Encrypt to help users protect their sites and Google Registry's domain extensions including .app, .page and .dev require that all registered domains use HTTPS connections. Neither team has reached the conference final stage in some years with the Bruins last making an appearance in 2013 and the Hurricanes doing so in 2009. Will the Bruins continue to dominate the Eastern Conference Final or will the Hurricanes make a comeback and turn their chances around? Whether you’re a Bruins fan, a Hurricanes fan or just watching the ice hockey to see which team will get their shot at the Stanley Cup this year, we’ll show you how to live stream the Bruins vs Hurricanes in the 2019 NHL Eastern Conference Final from anywhere in the world. Using a VPN - or Virtual Private Network - you can change the IP address to one in a different state or country which does have the stream so that you can watch the NHL Stanley Cup playoffs from anywhere in the world. The process is very straightforward… http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/x4WvmjGdnEUCFeqhMUrnWo.jpg Watch the NHL Eastern Conference finals in the USAll of the games in the Eastern Conference Finals will be shown on NBC and NBCSN (but the Stanley Cup Finals will be shown on just NBC). For cable subscribers this shouldn’t be too difficult but if you’d prefer to watch the games online or on your mobile devices, NBCSports will have live streams of the games on its website or on the NBC Sports app. You will need to provide your cable credentials to gain access to these streams but you could always setup a digital antenna to watch NBC over-the-air for free. If you’d rather not sign up for a premium cable subscription just to watch the Stanley Cup and playoffs, we recommend going with one of the many TV streaming services available as they give you access to the channels you need to watch hockey without the high cost. For your convenience, we’ve listed all of the streaming services with the channels you need to watch the NHL playoffs below. However, if you’d prefer to live stream the games on your computer or mobile devices you can do so by logging in using your cable credentials on the CBCSports website or on the CBC Sports app on Android and iOS. If you’re not a cable subscriber, we recommend choosing one of the streaming services above if you just want to watch the Stanley Cup Playoffs (although some may require US registration details). However, if you’re also a big Canadian Hockey League fan, Sportsnet has its own streaming service available called SNNow for just $20 a month that shows over 300 NHL games as well as NHL, NBA, MLB, CHL, WWE and more that might be worth checking out. http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/VgyagGS9HpAEPUQtUJBfrg.jpg http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/SFNJ5LrHn6npyWTKVdbpWo.jpg Live stream the NHL playoffs in the UKUnfortunately for hockey fans in the UK, the little known Premier Sports is the only way to watch the Stanley Cup Playoffs on TV. To get access to the Premier Sports 1 & 2 you’ll either have to sign up through Sky for £9.99 a month or £99 a year, Virgin Media at £9.99 a month or with the network’s own Premier Player at £9.99 a month. Premier Sports does have an offer where you can get the first month free using the promo code FIRSTMONTHFREE - ideal for the whole remainder of the 2019 NHL season. On the other hand you could try one of the streaming services listed above. And don't forget that you can connect with a VPN if you want to watch this coverage but find yourself outside the UK when the games are on. http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/VgyagGS9HpAEPUQtUJBfrg.jpg http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/D39crXd3gob7KPsE3LAFUo.jpg How to get an NHL live stream in AustraliaIf you're an ice hockey fan in Australia and want to catch these games (usually starting at 10.00am AET), there are plenty of options on TV and online. If you have Fox Sports, then you'll want to turn to channel 509 for the ESPN2 channel. Watching on a mobile device is really easy, too thanks to ESPN Player. Or you can live stream NHL action via the Kayo Sports streaming service, which features no lock-in contracts and also includes access to over 50 sports, both live and on demand. Kayo Sports Basic Package costs $25 per month and allows users to stream across two devices simultaneously. The Asus ZenFone 6 is the latest flagship phone from the brand, and it's bringing a full front screen thanks to a flippable camera that avoids the necessity of a notch. Instead of having separate front and rear cameras, you can just flip the camera around when you want to be able to take a selfie or enter a video call. We recently saw this feature in the Samsung Galaxy A80, and it's just as intriguing in this phone. It's a unique way of avoiding a notch that is a completely different technique than the pop-up camera we've seen on the OnePlus 7 Pro. That notch-less display is 6.4-inches with a resolution of 1080 x 2340. That equals 406 pixels per inch. A bold choiceUnder the hood is the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset paired with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM, depending on which version you go for. You'll have the choice of either 128GB or 256GB of storage too. That camera is a 48MP paired with a 13MP, which is almost surely high enough quality to share on your social media. The camera blister sits flush with the phone when it's facing the rear, so you won't have to worry about breaking it off. The other big highlight of this phone is a 5,000mAh battery, which will almost certainly offer day-long battery life and perhaps even beyond that. We've yet to learn the exact release date for the Asus ZenFone 6, but we know the base model is priced at $499 (about £390, AU$720), which will cost you a lot less than most other modern flagships. In today's increasingly connected world, keeping our digital footprint private is growing more important and more challenging according to new research from Kaspersky Lab. The cybersecurity company surveyed 2,000 adults in the UK to discover that they believe there is not enough business or state protection currently in place to protect their personal data. Of those surveyed, 41 percent think that businesses should do more to protect their personal data including passwords, addresses and bank account details from hackers while over a quarter think that there is currently not enough state support in regard to data security and cyber-protection. Kaspersky launches free CyberTrace threat intelligence toolEvolving perception of personal data in 201990 percent of data breaches are caused by human errorKeeping secrets safeWhether it is a password, bank account details or even revealing photos taken at university, everyone has a multitude of secrets that they need to keep safe online. Kaspersky's survey even revealed that over one-in-ten (12%) of respondents in the UK have actually been so concerned following a high-profile data breach that they have shut down one or more of their social media accounts in response. Despite the prevalence of these almost daily data breaches, only 34 percent of respondents have strengthened their passwords and only 43 percent admitted to having up-to-date security protection on all of their devices. Principal security researcher at Kaspersky Lab, David Emm provided further insight on the survey's findings, saying: “We have become a society built upon digital secrets, with those secrets becoming commoditised and traded on the dark web. There is more that businesses can and should do to help protect their customers – including security solutions that significantly mitigate the risk of a successful attack, running fully updated software, performing regular security audits and performing penetration testing. However, there is also much that consumers can do to protect themselves. That includes strengthening their passwords and protecting all their devices.' Instagram will be closing the doors on its standalone messaging app, Direct, within the next month. A message confirming the planned closure is being displayed to users in the Direct for Instagram app, and was first spotted by social media industry commentator Matt Navarra in the Dutch version of the app, who posted the Tweet below: If you use Direct for Instagram regularly and you're worried about losing your conversations, fear not; according to Cnet they're just "moving over to the dedicated Instagram app", where your direct messages would normally appear. Here's how to use InstagramHad enough? Read our guide on how to delete you Instagram account foreverWhatsApp hack: how to update your app and protect your dataA short lifespanInstagram's standalone messaging app has been relatively short-lived, having only been launched in December 2017. Much like Snapchat, the app opened your phone's camera upon launch, and installing the app meant that your direct messaging inbox disappeared from the regular Instagram app and could only be accessed via Direct for Instagram. So far Instagram hasn't responded to requests for comment, so we can only speculate as to why it's decided to cull the messaging app so early in its lifespan; perhaps users wanted all their Instagram-related activity to be in one app as opposed to two. Either way, Instagram's foray into the world of instant messaging hasn't been as successful as that of its parent company: Facebook's Messenger app had 1.3 billion users worldwide as of April 2019, coming second only to WhatsApp, which boasts 1.6 billion. Why machine learning could be the key to the future of gambling
sincity posted a topic in Technology
The gaming market is changing at a rapid pace. With the shift to online and mobile gaming – and now the advent of new immersive technologies like augmented and virtual reality – operators face intense competition in terms of attracting customers, with ongoing innovation key to their success. But in such an environment, new issues will arise and new solutions will need to be found. Thanks primarily to the proliferation of internet-connected devices, operators need to be aware of how an abundance of accessibility can cause potential risks for some individuals. In two areas specifically, Experian believes machine learning can help. Namely, the protection of minors and the identification of problem gamblers. Why machine learning is vital to moving one step ahead of fraudstersMachine learning: more than a buzzwordAWS - Why we need to make Machine Learning happen fasterProtecting the youthAs most parents will be aware, teenagers nowadays have access to a host of internet connected devices, whether that’s their phone, laptop, or games console. All these devices have the potential for individuals to access games, and from an age protection point of view, this is a substantial concern. One in five adults play games on a mobile, while those aged between 16-34 are more likely than average to use devices for gaming as well. Typically 18-24 year olds will have a very small data footprint, as they have little or no credit history. Machine learning can help identify minors who have fall into this ‘thin file’ category more readily, based on other alternative data points individuals may have. Behavioural monitoring can also play a part in age verification. A common issue which many parents will be familiar with, is children using their ID, to gain access to services. Thanks to machine learning models, and other tools – such as keystroke analysis – it is becoming possible to determine if the individual is behaving like you would expect those in their peer group would do. For example, if a teenager steals their 45-year-old mother’s information, monitoring will be able to flag that they’re not behaving in a way like you’d expect. Then operators can ask for additional verification checks, to confirm their identity. http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/JfYhnWRSpcGwWrFcAvkjB5.jpg Image credit: Pexels Protecting potential gambling addictsProtecting vulnerable customers is something any responsible businesses can’t ignore. According to our research, nearly 9 million people are using credit to cover the cost of everyday living expenses, while 1.8 million are defined as being in persistent debt. If you then consider that 11.5 million adults have less than £100 in savings – leaving them with very little in terms of a safety net to deal with an unexpected change in their circumstances – it’s clear that businesses need to account for vulnerable customers who could be financially distressed and experience affordability issues. Using trended data models, operators can see data on the ability of individuals to afford products and services on an ongoing basis, giving them the opportunity to make more responsible decisions over their customers in terms of what they offer customers. http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/pJjsnhgKdD782c5SBEneTW.jpg Image credit: Pixabay Using new technologies to improve gamblingWith gaming now more ubiquitous and accessible than ever before, machine learning can provide greater assurance for both operators and customers alike, and steps are already being made. Experian’s affordability check for gaming sites, which launched earlier this year, shows how Open Banking technology can offer solutions to an industry that is operating in a constantly evolving landscape. In the modern world, consumers are becoming increasingly conscientious about the type of businesses they deal with, expecting them to operate with ethical considerations at the heart of their decisions. Furthermore, it’s likely calls to implement greater verification checks will grow, if the industry comes under closer scrutiny from both regulators and the Government. Operators can get ahead of the curve by embracing machine learning, ensuring they are fully prepared, if and when, any new possible regulation comes into force, while showing that they are doing what they can to act in a responsible manner. Meanwhile, those that choose to ignore the benefits, risk their reputation being damaged, and being left behind by both their customers and the industry itself. It appears that Google has dropped its plans to allow Windows 10 to be installed alongside Chrome OS on Chromebooks. The plans – known internally as Project Campfire – would let Chromebook owners install Windows 10 so that they could switch between Microsoft’s operating system and Chrome OS – the default operating system made by Google that ships with Chromebooks. The feature was often referred to as Alt OS – in reference to the ability to install an alternative operating system. What is a Google Chromebook? These are the best Chromebooks of 2019How to screenshot on a ChromebookWhile that feature would have made Chromebooks even more versatile, an eagle-eyed member of Reddit spotted that a change to the Chromium Gerrit suggest that the Alt OS feature will be deprecated – which means it will not be worked on or added to Chrome OS. WindowlessAlthough Google never officially announced the feature, there will be many people who will be disappointed that it has been dropped. The ability to install Windows 10 would have made Chromebooks even more useful, as you'd be able to run programs that aren’t supported on Google’s limited Chrome OS software. However, it’s not entirely surprising that this feature has been dropped. Part of the appeal of Chromebooks is that they are lightweight affordable laptops with excellent battery lives – which means they usually come with low-powered components. Chrome OS is built from the ground up to run on hardware like that, but Windows 10 is a lot more resource intensive, so would likely struggle. There’s a good chance that on many Chromebooks, using Windows 10 would have been a sluggish and annoying ordeal. However, Microsoft is working on Windows Lite, which is a version of its operating system that’s designed for low powered devices. It would have been the perfect fit for Chromebooks, but with the Alt OS feature now dead, we may never see that happen. At least all Chromebooks will now be able to run Linux out of the boxVia About Chromebooks http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/techradar/digital-home/~4/IriX3pwtkCU

When reviewers were given the Samsung Galaxy Fold, it was quickly discovered that the foldable device has a durability problem – Samsung has since taken steps to cancel pre-orders for some customers, and the Galaxy Fold has no new release date in sight. However, despite appearances to the contrary, it looks like Samsung has a plan to fix the Fold, according to a report. The new report, from Yonhap News and based on information from industry officials, lists a few different changes Samsung is apparently making to the Samsung Galaxy Fold, and also suggests a possible release date as "next month" for the folding phone. This is what we know about the Samsung Galaxy Note 10Check out our thoughts on the Samsung Galaxy S10These are the best camera phonesOne of the aspects of the Samsung Galaxy Fold that broke for many reviewers was the hinge, when materials like dust, dirt and fluff got caught up in the mechanism. But according to the report Samsung is to reduce the size of the hinge so the pre-existing protective frame on the device is the right size to protect the part. Many reviewers also found that peeling off the Samsung Galaxy Fold's screen protector broke the display, and it was later discovered that this wasn't a screen protector but part of the display itself. Samsung is now apparently set to expand this plastic film so it tucks into the handset's frame, so that consumers won't confuse it for something they should remove. Samsung's plan to introduce a wildly different form factor to mobile phones got off to a rocky start, but if it can fix these issues and recover with grace, the company may still lead the foldable phone revolution – unless more durability problems are discovered upon release. We’ve heard a few Google Pixel 4 leaks at this point, most of which don’t point to anything overly surprising, but the latest leak is a bit strange, as according to one source the phone won’t have any physical buttons. That’s not to say that it won’t have any buttons at all, but rather than being physical, mechanical buttons that you press down, they’ll apparently be capacitive ones that simply respond to touch. That’s according to Jon Prosser who said as much in an episode of . And he’s worth listening to, as he’s got a good track record with Pixel leaks and he claims that this information comes from a “credible” source – though he’s also clearly skeptical of the claim, simply because it’s so unusual.Google just launched the Pixel 3aAnd the Pixel 3a XLThe iPhone 11 is also landing later this yearSo we’d certainly take this with a pinch of salt, but there are some possible reasons for the change. For one thing, it could improve the design of the Pixel 4, allowing Google to give it a smooth frame uninterrupted by buttons sticking out. It could also – as Phone Arena notes – improve Google’s Active Edge feature. This is a feature found on the likes of the Google Pixel 3 which lets you squeeze the sides to launch Google Assistant. But in its current form it only works on some sections of the sides, as the buttons get in the way. With capacitive buttons it might be possible to have Active Edge work along the entire length of the frame. Speakers, scanner and cameraIn more believable news, the same source also claimed that the Google Pixel 4 would have front-firing speakers, and backed up some previous Pixel 4 rumors, saying that the phone would have a punch-hole camera on the front and an in-screen fingerprint scanner. These things too we’d take with a side of salt, but it’s not the first time we’re hearing them, and nor would it be surprising. We might not know the truth for a while though, as the Google Pixel 4 range is unlikely to land until October. In December 2014 amendments were made to the 2003 Communications Act effectively censoring Pornography within the UK. It banned a list of sex acts by demanding paid-for video-on-demand (VoD) online porn is regulated by the same guidelines set out by the British Board of Film Censors (BBFC) that DVD pornography (R18 films) must adhere to. To be specific strangulation, facesitting and fisting were deemed life threatening. Other acts banned included full bondage and restraint involving all limbs being restrained and the mouth gagged, aggressive spanking full bondage and restraint (in conjunction with a gag and all four limbs restrained) and finally the one that caused the most outrage bizarrely female ejaculation. Why is it ok for men to ejaculate but not women was cried from all ends of the UK? Did these bans help educate? Did they stop people viewing these types of pornography? Did it stop the mental health damage and detrimental effect porn has on the UK’s teenagers? No....So how exactly is the government’s new porn legislation, due to have come into effect in April but now delayed until 15th July, and designed to stop children and teenagers from accessing porn, expected to be any different? Particularly given that this legislation only seems to have been launched off the back of an NSPCC poll claiming that more than half of children and teenagers that looked at porn “stumbled across” it. The legal ins and outs of the UK Porn BlockMyth busting: what the so-called “porn ban” really meansStarbucks plans to block adult content on its Wi-Fi in 2019Yes, if you google porn of course it will appear but the fact is more children and teenagers are more exposed to porn via social media channels. Twitter for example is ripe with explicit uncensored videos, this legislation will have no effect on accessing porn via social media channels. Education trumps legislationOn launching this new legislation, Minister for Digital Margot James said "Adult content is currently far too easy for children to access online. The introduction of mandatory age-verification is a world-first, and we’ve taken the time to balance privacy concerns with the need to protect children from inappropriate content. We want the UK to be the safest place in the world to be online, and these new laws will help us achieve this." In my opinion, “they won’t Margot they really really won’t!” The government is simply putting a plaster on a deep cut that will not be cured by simply applying a plaster. The cut will inevitably get deeper and infection will kick in. I am not, in any way anti porn. I am however anti the lack of education surrounding porn, specifically within schools. Teenage boys get to see unrealistic sexual acts and assume that is how girls behave, what girls want and therefore expect it from their female peers, all whilst teenage girls think that this is how they should behave, how they should let boys treat them and that sex is all about the male pleasure. Dr Vanessa Moulton of The Mindflex Group said “children are so curious, especially when they reach teenage years and puberty. With potential access to porn online, it can become their focal point of sex education and can impact their developing brains. Because of neuroplasticity and the developmental stage of the brain between teenage years, their brains can become wired in relation to their attitudes and interpretations of what sex means to them. It can also result in unrealistic expectations when they encounter sexual experiences.” Until the dialogue and education is changed regarding porn, until the dialogue stops putting the responsibility onto girls thus excusing boys behaviour and actually begins to teach boys about consent, boundaries and how porn is not the real world, then no amount of legislation will help or change the narrative of reality. http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/NtQgopRbkgZAyZ973AhjoP.jpg Image credit: Shutterstock Workarounds will be foundThere are simply millions and millions of porn sites and if the UK is the only country with these new blocks on then anyone with VPN, which makes it look like you are in another country, can simply get around it. As with anything illegal it will just push teenagers into the darker web to find porn thus exposing them to disturbing and extreme content and ironically making the whole porn effect even more damaging. This is before you take into consideration the massive privacy and GDPR headache involved with the new legislation requiring everyone viewing porn to be age verified submitting personal information details and the rest. Who is handling all this personal information? Where exactly is all that information being stored? The invasion of privacy is huge and surely that has hackers written all over it? Any tech savvy teenager can illegally stream unlimited porn, get around age restriction logins whilst sticking two fingers up to the law on their YouTube, Snapchat and Instagram stories, these laws will not prevent children from viewing porn. Frankly, where there is a will there is always a way It is a NO from me. Emma Sayle, Founder and CEO of Killing Kittens, Safedate and Sistr This is everything you need to know about the UK's porn blockhttp://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/techradar/digital-home/~4/ZUY1eUsRJ2s
