Apple News+ is bringing magazines into the fold, according to Apple CEO Tim Cook at the company's keynote today. News and high-quality magazines are coming to the Apple News app.

This builds on Apple News, which is already the No. 1 news app in the world, and Cook cited its features like hand-picked stories, saying "it's critical that it's trusted.

"I love the feeling of being at the Newsstand," said Cook, mentioning that you're usually only able to buy one or two publications. Apple News+ changes up the limitation with an all-read-you-read plan.

How Apple News+ works

The basic version of the app will remain free, however, there'll be a News+ tab that consist of magazine like Rolling Stone, Popular Science, Traveler and Outside. Everything will be curated by Apple News editors and be personalized.

News issues and featured articles will help you break out news content you'll want to read. It'll let you bypass cover stories to find articles deep inside a magazine.

Apple promises this will be the best mobile magazine experience ever.

This is breaking news
