pat30724
Hi, Some of my users noticed a little bug. They have set in there config to get the resolution like the normal way. But the game does not load the config like it should be. Like for me i have a resolution of 1600x900 pixels. But it does load the game at a much lower resolution. Do you guys notice this too? Management hellreturn Posted July 24, 2013 Management Share Posted July 24, 2013 Nop it loads fine for me. I am using custom resolution and it works just fine.
pat30724
I am using a custom resolution too. When i open up ET the normal way it does it the right way. But most of the times i open it up from xfire. And then it does not set the resolution like it should be.
Subscriber BECK Posted July 24, 2013 Subscriber Share Posted July 24, 2013 (edited) Could be that the configs are loaded as a relative path to the et.exe? Normal Windows shortcuts have a 'Start in' property that should resolve to the fully qualified path to where et.exe resides. From xfire, it doesn't have this property. That would be my guess, at least. So it tries to load the configs from the wrong directory. I suppose you could just put your resolution settings in your autoexec.cfg or any other config and just 'exec' it when the game loads up (with vidrestart) Edited July 24, 2013 by BECK
Dragonji
This is an engine thing. Every mod has got an own config. Keep in mind etmain is a mod too.

Sol
You could also add "+set fs_game silent" as parameter inside Xfire's wolfenstein adv settings in "additional parameters line" but of course it will works only for silent servers. pat30724
It does load the custom binds like it should do. Only the resolution not.
