I think this may suite the hardware launge.

And i hope you guys can help me.

Currently i am bussy to get a new Game pc.

But there are some trouble with the hardware.

System:

Case: Antec P193 V3

Extra case fan: Antec TrueQuiet 120mm 2x

Powesupply: Antec HCP-1200

Mainboard: Asus Rampage III Extreme s1366

CPU: Intel Core i7-990X

Ramm: Kingston HX D3 1600M 6G 3k XMP C9

HDD: WD Caviar Black 1.5TB 64MB 2x

DVD: Lite-On iHAS324 SATA Black

Sweex cardreader 3,5 inch ZW

Graficcard: Asus ENGTX580 DCII/2DIS/1536MD5 2x

MS Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit

Keybord: Logitech G19 Keyboard

Mouse: SteelSeries Xai Laser Mouse

Monitor: BenQ XL2410T tft

The problem is the setup of the Asus Nvidia graficcards, the cards in the list give a constand re-boot when windows 7 is installed,

in single-mode and SLI-mode, in a different pc the cards run fine.

So in other words; Windows 7 is not starting up the pc with these cards.

This is the card: http://www.asus.com/Graphics_Cards/NVIDIA_Series/ENGTX580_DCII2DIS1536MD5

The pc shop is bussy with this problem for a few weeks now.

They tryed it with different driver and bios versions, nothing it getting it working.

Like i sayed before; in a different pc the cards run fine.

They put in a EAH6970 DCII/2DI4S/2GD5 from ATI, and they work fine in singel and in Crosfire setup.

The pc have a normal boot.

This is the card: http://www.asus.com/Graphics_Cards/AMD_Series/EAH6970_DCII2DI4S2GD5

But it looks like this card is and Over-Clocled version, and i am a bit worried this card may cause overheating problems.

So it looks like the Mainboard: Asus Rampage III Extreme s1366 is having a problem with the Asus Nvidia cards or the drivers from it.

Cos i can't think of a other reason what is going on.

But i can't find annyting bad about those cards or in combi with the mainbord.

Funny is that the support of Asus say the cards and mainboard should match.

Personaly i was never a fan of ATI and i would rather that the pc shop shall try it with this card:

Asus MATRIX GTX580 P/2DIS/1536MD5

http://www.asus.nl/Graphics_Cards/NVIDIA_Series/MATRIX_GTX580_P2DIS1536MD5

What do you think about it?

And what card would you choose?

And please don't say i spend to much on a game pc, becauce i know that already.

Yes this ATI and openGL (Brink) i heard before.

But do you have any idea why this; Asus ENGTX580 DCII/2DIS/1536MD5, are not working?

I fear the Asus Matrix may run on the same set of drivers.

I was thinking about a SSD, but now it runs in Raid 0.

The boot is verry fast.

Personaly i think, and don't laugh, the SSD cards are to expencive, and to small.

Some pictures of the kabel connections.

It is still weird that the ATI GTX580 work, while the Nvidia GTX580 fails to work and keeps rebooting.

But i don't want the frigging ATI cards.

Pic's where send to me from Antec, they sugested this kabelsetup.
