  2. Hello, I have a NOOB Question... what cvar on the silent server cfg. sets the FPS (frames per Second ) setting on silent 0.4.0... I ve been all over the cfg and missed it or it's not there. LOL... .... I want to bump FPS up from 125.... Thanks..

  5. This upgrade is for a Windows Server... Silent 3.3 to 4.0 .I know the 4.0 Silent pk3 file go in the redirect but not sure of the dill. The only question I have is do I need to add the qagame_mp_x86.dll to the redirect silent folder. Looks like the 4.0 Silent pk3 and qagame_mp_x86.dll is all I need to add on the server Silent folder. Server shows up on the the 2.55 Browser, Just connect with IP on the console. Just open console and type /connect 74.201.57.70:27960 Note: Make sure you space between connect and the start of IP. Server has a bunch of custom sounds and 20 songs (shorten to 35 seconds or so) to play at your choosing.Just use "V" key to open menu. We mostly play at night but feel free to check it out when ever you feel like playing. Server has XP Save, We are also recruting, New clan memebers will get level 3 and 5000 XP, server has only 6 levels. !!!!! See you all on the server and have a very nice day !!!!!
  7. OK, I set skill_lightweapons 3 3 3 3 on silent cfg. When I get in the game and if start off as a medic or covert opps I get one pistol. However if I get in the game and start off as a engee,opps,or soldier I get akimbo pistols.So let say I start off as a soldier,I get akimbo pistols, them I switch to medic I get akimbo pistols. so can anyone tell me what is going on. Is there a bug on silent 0.3.3 or Am I missing a setting some where. Thanks Raner
  8. Hi, Can't seem to find the cvar setting for akimo (two) pistols for Medics and Covert Opps, all the other classes are OK. Been all over the silent manual, I guess I'm just missing it, Thanks for the help, R.G.

  11. Hey Gaoesa, Ok got it, Done, Thats out of the way. Got a Couple of more for you!!! Can't fine the spawn time setting on silent. The respawn time is set to 30 seconds must be default set time. I want to change to 15 seconds. can you point me to the g_ setting!!! Did anybody ever figure out why the maps and not showing up on the esc/vote/maps when game is set to 6, Well the maps are there but are no visible. Thanks R.

Below are the maps in the mapvoteinfo.cfg All the maps in my etmain are shown. but still nothing showing on Esc/vote/maps, and on the intermission vote screen only 16 maps are available for voting same number that is on my mapvotecycle.cfg seems to me it's reading the mapvotecycle.cfg and not the maps installed on etmain.   14. O.k. Gaoesa, I'll keep messing with it and I'll post if I figure it out. Oh By the way. Could you PM me or post your silent cfg so I can mirror your setting to mine. I need a working cfg with no bugs in it. Or if you want I can PM you the servers control panel logins and you all can take a look and see if you can spot the problem. thanks RaneR
  15. Hey Gaoesa, changing fonts does nothing, I checked another silent 260.b server and its doing the same thing as mine no maps showing on Esc/voting/maps. I know the information for Esc/voting/maps comes from one of two places, etmain or mapvotecycle.cfg do you know which one it is? I think it is the mapvotecycle.cfg because as I said if I change the g_gametype number from 6 to 16 all sixteen maps show up. The other thing that could cause it is a currupt file but with one could it be is the question. I guess I could save my Silent Server cfg, database files.Delete all the Silent mod fills and start fresh. Don't know what else to try I was hoping it was a cvar that was set wrong on the Silent server cfg. Oh one more thing for you all, if admins make a server cfg they need name it anything other than server.cfg because if they name it server.cfg then they will have two server.cfg folders on etmain because E.T. installs it's own server.cfg, talk about confussing the server, I don't think it would even run if it is trying to execute two server.cfg folders at the same time. Hi Gaoesa, all my maps are on the etmain folder, I will try set g_mapVoteFlags 21 set g_maxMapsVotedFor 19 but use 16 instead of 19 because have 16 maps on rotation. set g_minMapAge 8 No go still doing the same thing. The ingame map voting "Esc/Voting/Maps/ is blank no maps showing but the maps are there if I tick where the maps should be and hit F1 the vote passes and the server restarts and map executes, but there is no map names showing it is blank. Are you seeing the map names in your server? Do know if this is a bug?   17. Update Hellreturn, got map voting to work in with this settings. set g_gametype 6 g_maxMapsVotedFor 16 exec mapvotecycle.cfg This settings got map vote at intermission working. The ingame map voting "Esc/Voting/Maps/ is blank no maps showing but the maps are there if I tick where the maps are and hit F1 the vote passes and the server restarts and map executes, but there is no map names showing it is blank. I know the setting is 6 I changed it to 16 because there are 16 maps in the rotation.   18. Thank for all the help Hellreturn, got XPSave to work,what is the setting for xp to never reset. Sorry for all the Questions but some of this stuff is not matching up. Example you wrote this:You need to set g_gametype in your map rotation config i.e. objectivecycle.cfg to enable map voting. The manual says this: This gametype allows for the players to decide on the map that is played next. When g_gametype is set to 6 a new screen is introduced during intermission. This screen list, depending on server configuration, a list of up to 32 maps that are loaded on the server, and that all players can vote on. Once intermission ends, the server totals the votes, and plays the next map based upon the vote results. I have this on silent server cfg. set g_gametype "mapvotecycle.cfg exec mapvotecycle.cfg Its kinda working but I am running 16 maps on the mapvotecycle.cfg and only have six maps to choose from. how do I get all sixteen maps to show up. And there are no maps showing up on the ingame mapvote. Then manual says to do this: Miscellaneous notes about mapvoting: Total maps allowed is 32. If server admin has more than 32 .bsp files, only the first 32 are used Tie breaker. The default tie-breaker is such that if 2 or more maps are tied with the same number of votes, the map that was played most recently is selected. Bots and connecting players do NOT count for mapvoting, everyone else (including spectators) does. If no maps are voted for, the default "nextmap" cvar is used, so server admins have to specify a default map cycle of sort, usually in the following format. set d1 "set g_gametype 6 ; map oasis ; set nextmap vstr d2" set d2 "set g_gametype 6 ; map battery ; set nextmap vstr d3" set d3 "set g_gametype 6 ; map goldrush ; set nextmap vstr d1" vstr d1 This means that the default map, upon server start, will be oasis. If at any point, no map is voted for, battery will be played, etc Had some players drop by when I was working on the server and they liked what they saw a lot of eye candy. Just got to get all the bugs out. The silnet mod is running fine no hickups at all. I still need to set up players userdb file and server levels.   19. Hi, can not find g_misc on silent cfg and some others do you know if there in there but I am missing them or they will have to be added to the silent cfg. If added it will read "set g_misc " " g_misc Description Miscallenous options. Parameters Type: bitmask 1 Enable double jump 2 Enable binoc master competition. Requires g_weapons 64 to be set. 4 When a player is killed he can see the HP the killer has left 8 Disable self damage 16 Players can not jump if stamina is too low 32 Value is not in use 64 Disable Falling Damage 128 Announce revives Default: 0 I have XPSave "1" and sv_wwwDlDisconnected "0" but when server is stopped and restarted the players xp is lost.? It will save xp as long as the server is not restarted. Cant find "g_gametype" need to set it to "6" on silent cfg do I have to add this one also? g_mapVoteFlags Description Ways to change how map voting works Only valid when g_gametype is 6 (see Map Voting) Parameters Type: bitmask 1 Changes the tie breaker so that the map not played in the longest wins 2 Intermission doesn't end until g_intermissionReadyPercent people have voted. If there are no players connected to the server, intermission will end at the timeout. (WARNING: This means that if there are spectators connected and not voting, the next map will not load until those spectators either vote, disconnect, or get kicked by the system) 4 Multi vote: Allows everybody to vote for 3 maps instead of one, first choice map gets 3 votes, second choice gets 2, third choice gets one 8 Don't randomize the maps, so they will always appear in the same order 16 A passed nextmap vote (when g_gametype is 6) will start the intermission and lets players vote which map should be played next. Got same think after new profile, we to another computer and worked O.K. the computer that is giving me the error has a patch setector installed and the one that worked with no error does not, don't see how that would make a difference but with E.T. as finiky as it is that could be causing it.
  21. Mr Hellreturn I got a small Guitch I an getting error (missing Name field in info) when trying to connect to server, I can connect to jaymod,NQ,etpub, no error but on silent well on my server anyway,I get the error any ideas, thanks RaNeR.
