http://content.hwigroup.net/images/products_xl/329796/gskill-trident-z-8gb-ddr4-3466-cl16-kit.jpg It's easy to be overwhelmed when shopping for RAM on G.Skill's website. You'll find a mind-boggling number of options, including a new 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4-3600 kit that was introduced recently as part of the company's flagship Trident-Z line. At 3600MHz, the new kit isn't the highest frequency option G.Skill offers, nor is it even the highest frequency kit available in its Trident-Z series, which ranges in speed from 2800MHz to 4266MHz. And while we're at it, the new addition isn't the first 16GB kit of DDR4-3600 memory in the Trident-Z family, either. So what's the point? Lower latencies. Compared to the two other 16GB DDR4-3600 RAM kits with the Trident-Z stamp, this new F4-3600C15D-16GTZ kit sports tighter timings across the board. Here's a look: F4-3600C15D-16GTZ: 3600MHz, 15-15-15-35 F4-3600C16D-16GTZ: 3600MHz, 16-16-16-36 F4-3600C17D-16GTZ: 3600MHz, 17-18-18-37 "Utilizing specially selected high performance memory components, G.Skill has continued to improve upon the specifications of DDR4 to maintain a latency of CL15 at 3600MHz, a high frequency that typically could only be achieved with slower latencies. Designed with XMP 2.0 profiles, achieving a highly efficient system is now easier than ever," G.Skill explains. Realistically you're not going to see a significant performance disparity between any of the three 16GB DDR-3600MHz kits. However, you can reasonably assume that the lower timed kit is using slightly better memory chips, which in turn could mean a little more overclocking headroom, for what that's worth. G.Skill didn't say when its new memory kit will be available to purchase or for how much, but as a point of reference, the F4-3600C16D-16GTZ streets for $155. Oddly enough, the F4-3600C17D-16GTZ (slowest of the bunch) streets for $180. Source http://www.pcgamer.c...3600-trident-z/

AMD’s Radeon Duo Pro Graphics Card Releasing on April 26th
Night Hunter posted a topic in Technology
AMD’s Radeon Duo Pro will be officially launching on the 26th of April 2016. The GPU houses two full-fledged Fiji GPUs with a total of 8196 stream processors and 8GB HBM (memory). The card prominently features LiquidVR – which is AMD’s purpose built platform for VR content. The dual-GPU monster has an MSRP of $1500 and will be landing at the end of April. http://cdn.wccftech.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/AMD-Radeon-Pro-Duo-Capsaicin-GDC-2016-10-635x357.jpgRadeon Duo Pro, AMD’s dual-Fiji flagship landing on the 26th of April – will retail for $1500The Radeon Duo Pro, so far, holds the title of the most powerful graphics card. One of the primary criticisms leveraged at dual-GPU graphic cards is that they are working in what is essentially Crossfire. Which means that the scaling is not what a single GPU setup with twice the specifications would offer. In the case of VR however, things are different. Unlike in 2D, VR requires simultaneous outputs to two screens (one for each eye). With some very clever software engineering (and underlying hardware support on the Fijis), Liquid VR allows devs to gain close to 100% scaling on VR applications.http://cdn.wccftech.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/AMD-Radeon-Pro-Duo-9-635x423.jpghttp://cdn.wccftech.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/AMD-Radeon-Pro-Duo-2-635x423.jpghttp://cdn.wccftech.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/12754895_10100130663806049_1250771139_o-635x357.jpghttp://cdn.wccftech.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/AMD-Radeon-Pro-Duo-Capsaicin-GDC-2016-1-635x357.jpghttp://cdn.wccftech.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/AMD-Radeon-Pro-Duo-Capsaicin-GDC-2016-2-635x357.jpg http://cdn.wccftech.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/AMD-Radeon-Pro-Duo-Capsaicin-GDC-2016-3-635x357.jpghttp://cdn.wccftech.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/AMD-Radeon-Pro-Duo-Capsaicin-GDC-2016-4-635x357.jpg1 day ago by Usman Pirzada AMD’s Radeon Duo Pro will be officially launching on the 26th of April 2016. Running virtual reality headsets such as the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive requires quite a bit of horsepower, which in the case of the Oculus Rift is 2k resolution at 90 frames per second. This graphical horsepower can be produced by GPUs equivalent (or more) in power to the GTX 970 or the Radeon R9 290. However, as we up the visual fidelity, maintaining this standard gets very hard, and this is where the Radeon Duo Pro and LiquidVR combo come in.LiquidVR is a set of technologies that has a very clear mission: to take maximum advantage of GPUs to enable rich and seamless content. As VR technology evolves, so will LiquidVR – we have a robust road map that will tackle a wide range of issues the industry already talks up as the next set of challenges we’ll be facing. We believe that with LiquidVR, AMD has helped the industry to take a first big step in this wonderful new immersive world called virtual reality.LiquidVR will continue to drive hardware and software technologies that will ultimately lead to the nirvana of VR: 16K/eye, 144Hz and above refresh rate, and virtually no latency, all in a wireless, small form factor package – AMD’s Guennadi Riguer in an interview to WCCFTech. The Radeon Duo Pro will be able to leverage LiquidVR (exposed in DX11) and DirectX 12 to offer an incredible platform for VR content across all major setups. With over 16 TFLOPS of FP32, it can easily handle VR workloads better than any other single graphics card setup out there right now. The Oculus Rift and HTC Vive have already started rolling out and this GPU is the perfect single graphics card solution to power them. If Dual-GPU is not your thing, or you don’t have the budget for it, AMD will be launching the Polaris 10 and 11 GPUs this year which should offer the “minimum VR spec” at a much more affordable level. Here are the final specifications of the AMD Radeon Duo Pro graphics card: Launch Date 26th April 24th June 2015 7th September 2015 10th July 2015 24th October 2013 Source http://wccftech.com/...-graphics-card/ -
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End New CG Trailer

http://gamingbolt.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/15-Amazing-Facts-That-You-Probably-Dont-Know-About-Uncharted-4.jpg Looks like Sony is going super big with the marketing of the upcoming Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End– which makes sense, too! It is without a doubt the most important and biggest game that Sony have released this generation so far. Take, for instance, this- Sony have prepared a brand new CG trailer for Naughty Dog’s newest game, which is slated to be the final entry in the Uncharted franchise, which will be playing in theaters in Europe this weekend. It’s an excellent play by them, too, because theaters will be jam packed this weekend, with the release of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The trailer itself seems to be well made, and should get a whole lot of people’s attention- even those who ordinarily would not pay attention to a PS4 exclusive release. You can check out the trailer below. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is slated to come out for PS4 in May. Quantum Break was announced for PC in February with surprisingly high recommended PC specs. Those recommended specs have since been revised, and now we know exactly how we'll be able to tinker around with the time-manipulating shooter's graphical settings. Developer Remedy Entertainment revealed the PC version's settings on its website today. Quantum Break has the basics like texture resolution, SSAO, and effects quality, as well as shadow resolution, volumetric lighting, and anti-aliasing. However, it's worth nothing that the only options for anti-aliasing seem to be "on" and "off." Other settings allow you to lock the game at 30 FPS, turn off the HUD, and play it at 4K resolution. You can check out all of the settings in the images below. You'll be able to manage all of these settings when Quantum Break hits the Windows Store for Windows 10 on April 5. If you're wondering whether or not you'll be able to run Quantum Break, you can check out its current system requirements here. Earlier this month, it was revealed that Remedy had been discussing the PC version for "a long while" and was confused by the negative reactions to the PC announcement. http://static3.gamespot.com/uploads/scale_super/1551/15511094/3026928-qb_pc_gfx_options1.jpg http://static4.gamespot.com/uploads/scale_super/1551/15511094/3026929-qb_pc_gfx_options2.jpg Source http://www.gamespot.com/articles/quantum-break-pc-graphics-settings-revealed/1100-6436003/

http://1u88jj3r4db2x4txp44yqfj1.wpengine.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/Xbox-Live-930x569.jpg You may encounter errors signing into Xbox Live right now. Microsoft has confirmed that its online gaming service isn’t working for everyone on Xbox One and Xbox 360 today. The company updated its Xbox Live Status site to indicate that “core services” aren’t functioning properly, and they are preventing many people from signing into their accounts. This is preventing those gamers from playing online multiplayer games like Call of Duty: Black Ops III and Destiny. This outage is also preventing people from booting up primarily single-player games like Fallout 4 as well as video services like Netflix, Amazon Instant Video, and Hulu. This comes after Microsoft servers went offline for around two hours over the weekend, which caused issues for Xbox Live and PC games like Minecraft. “Our team is already investigating and we hope to have everything back to normal ASAP,” reads Microsoft’s update on its status page. “Thanks for your patience while we work. We’ll update you again as soon as we have more information.” This does not seem like it is affecting most Xbox One owners. Additionally, if you are already online, then you should avoid updating your console to reduce your chances of getting a sign-in error. Microsoft’s Xbox Live has had a shaky 2016 so far. In February, the service had a week of consistent problems that caused all kinds of connectivity problems. That is on top of a matchmaking error in January that forced Snoop Dogg to post the following plea to Microsoft founder Bill Gates.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TODuEtTC3Y8 Source http://venturebeat.com/2016/03/07/xbox-live-down-again-for-some-as-microsoft-confirms-sign-in-issues/

The Kickstarter campaign for World War 2 first-person shooter Battalion 1944 ended this week, bringing in £317,218 ($451,000) from more than 10,000 backers. The game raised its target £100,000 ($142,000) in just a few days, and the final funding figure is 317 percent of goal. This excess funding has unlocked new stretch goals and allows developer Bulkhead Interactive to make a game that will "challenge the biggest AAA shooters in the industry." http://static1.gamespot.com/uploads/scale_super/1179/11799911/3017552-ww2.png The stretch goals for enhanced particle effects, the Currahee Boot Camp (inspired by the TV show Band of Brothers), and a D-Day map were reached, but not enough money was raised to introduce the British (£325,000) and Russian (£400,000) armies. "The reason these stretch goals were placed at such a high price is because characters cost a lot to make. We aren't cutting corners on this game AT ALL," executive producer Joe Brammer said. "If we want to join the ranks alongside Activision and DICE we need to build quality like they do, this costs money. For us to design entire character sets, all the customizations that go with it, custom faces, weapons, voice overs, implementing them into the game, maps, environments, and in some cases game modes, that all costs money." Brammer went on to say that some "very big publishers" have reached out to Bulkhead in recent weeks to presumably discuss a publishing deal that might allow for the British and Russian armies to make it into the game. Brammer explained that these companies (he didn't divulge their names) are player-focused and would not force Bulkhead to give up its creative control. "Although we aren't at liberty to say who, we can say they're loved by their communities and they understand how important it is to a team and a community like ours to retain 100 percent creative control over a game like Battalion 1944," he said. "They have no intentions and nor do we have ANY intentions of just giving up the design and creativity behind the Battalion franchise. The game will always 100 percent remain ours, built together with the community." Some Bulkhead team members will travel to San Francisco for the Game Developers Conference this month to meet with some potential partners. "In short, be patient and have faith! Because at the end of the day, do you think we don't want to add them?!" Brammer said about the British and Russian armies. One of the other stretch goals (£1.2 million) was for a single-player campaign, but this was not met and Bulkhead didn't say anything about its mysterious publishing deal covering this. Although Kickstarter funding for Battalion 1944 has ended, Bulkhead will open a PayPal "slacker backer" page in the weeks ahead. It will be open for one week only and supporters will be able to get some of the Kickstarter rewards. After this, Bulkhead will open an official Battalion 1944 store, where people will be able to purchase the game for a "higher but still discounted preorder price." Supporters can also pay for access to the game's upcoming alpha and beta tests, though, again, this will be at a higher price than Kickstarter and PayPal. The multiplayer shooter aims to capture the "core of classic multiplayer shooters" while using the "most advanced industry technology." You can see some early gameplay footage here or check out some just-released screenshots in the gallery below. Battalion 1944 is expected to launch in May 2017 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. http://static2.gamespot.com/uploads/scale_super/1179/11799911/3012408-10.png http://static2.gamespot.com/uploads/scale_super/1179/11799911/3012411-2.png http://static2.gamespot.com/uploads/scale_super/1179/11799911/3012416-5.png Source http://www.gamespot.com/articles/world-war-2-fps-battalion-1944-aims-to-challenge-c/1100-6435393/

http://www.dsogaming.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/DirectX-12-feature-672x372.jpg DirectX 12 is a really hot topic as we’ve got a number of games supporting it. And Oxide developer Kollock has revealed some interesting new information about this new API. According to Kollock, the latest WHQL drivers from NVIDIA support Async Compute; a feature that NVIDIA’s GPUs did not initially support. As Kollock claimed: “I can confirm that the latest shipping DX12 drivers from NV do support async compute. You’d have to ask NV how specifically it is implemented.” Async Compute is a feature that was previously support only by AMD’s GPUs, so it will be interesting to see what NVIDIA has done via its drivers, and whether the results are as good as those of AMD’s. For what is worth, Async Compute is still disabled in Ashes of the Singularity for NVIDIA’s GPUs. “Async compute is currently forcibly disabled on public builds of Ashes for NV hardware. Whatever performance changes you are seeing driver to driver doesn’t have anything to do with async compute.” Another interesting thing is that Steam’s overlay is working in DX12 by hooking the present call. DX12 and UWP were criticized for not supporting overlay programs. However, as both Kollock and NTAuthority stated, Steam’s overlay can work in DX12. As Kollock said: “I’d also point out more basically that the Steam overlay works by hooking the present call, in DX12.” And here is Steam’s overlay working, courtesy of NTAuthority. Windows Store games don't support overlays, they say... Kollock also talked about the rumoured list of issues that come with DX12 and Windows 10 Store games. According to Oxide’s developer, the only issue right now is with the refresh rate and that’s when vsync is disabled. In case you are not aware of, the rumoured list of the DX12 and Windows 10 Store issues is this one. 60 FPS cap 60Hz forced Gsync and FreeSync not supported Windowed mode is forced (store only) .EXE encrypted (store only) No true access to game files (store only) Little to no 21:9 or multi monitor support (store only) 3rd Party FPS readers and FPS limiters won’t work (For most of the titles) No .ini modding (store only) No reshade support No SweetFX support Limited key binding (store only) Limited driver intervention due to App encryption (store only) Slower roll out of patches (as they must pass WHQL per patch – store only) Poorer support for mGPU configurations At the mercy of Developers to implement desired features. Regarding this list, Kollock had this to say: “Uhm, no. Almost none of these are true. I have no idea what Windows Store apps require, but Steam is 90% of the Game market, and the rest is GMG, GoG, and Origin. The main difference between D3D12 and D3D11 is that when you create a swap effect you have to use FLIP rather then DISCARD. That has implications on refresh, but you can also do the refresh of the monitor. Practically speaking, this only matters if vsync is disabled, which is generally done only for performance testing.” Kollock also added: “As I’ve said before, the only difference between a D3D11 and a D3D12 title at present is that when creating a swap chain in D3D12 you must use the swap effect DXGI_SWAP_EFFECT_FLIP_DISCARD, in D3D11 you can use DXGI_SWAP_EFFECT_DISCARD. This has implications when vysnc is disabled, but shouldn’t when vsync is enabled which is not only what we default to, but what we recommend for players. More or less, this becomes a very subjective argument over whether tearing or dropping frames is better when you don’t want to run at a refresh of your monitor. However, most people in the industry would concur that you really want to running with your monitors refresh rate.” And as for Freesync/G-Sync, Kollock said that they should work, unless Freesync/G-Sync support has been hacked in some in games in order to work. “The limitation is with vsync off, FreeSync and Gsync work by changing the refresh, so I don’t think this change would impact it at all except they may have hackeddadadadad. It should [work], I don’t think this change would impact freesync and gsync except perhaps to break things temporarily if they are hacking them to work. I don’t know enough of how they’ve made freesync/gsync to work at a system level.” What is made crystal clear here is that not only Microsoft needs to work with the current DX12 issues, but also AMD and NVIDIA. Both the red and the green teams need to do some driver changes in order to support features that were previously working fine in DX11 (but for some strange reason are broken in DX12, especially if there were hacks involved into making these features work in the first place). Quite a bit from the looks of it. A treasure trove of bizarre objects has been dredged up in a massive clean up of Regent's Canal. The haul included a wheel of a discarded bicycle, a rusty shopping trolley and a mud-stained mobile phone. The Canal and River Trust drained the Kentish Town lock of 50,000 gallons of water to replace its lock gates. Dumped items also included a digital camera, a car tyre and tattered pieces of clothing.http://i3.mirror.co.uk/incoming/article7234543.ece/ALTERNATES/s615b/PAY--Kentish-Town-Lock-on-the-Regents-Canal-in-London-which-has-been-drained-and-opened-to-the-public-during.jpghttp://i2.mirror.co.uk/incoming/article7234544.ece/BINARY/PAY--Kentish-Town-Lock-on-the-Regents-Canal-in-London-which-has-been-drained-and-opened-to-the-public-during.jpgWedged eight feet below the surface, they were were fished out this morning during the maintenance job. Hundreds of people watched as the canal was opened to the public. Graham Smith, Canal and River Trust construction supervisor, told Mail Online : "The lock gates haven't been replaced since the early 1990s, so this was a really rare opportunity for visitors." Last October, the capital's canal - which runs from Mile End Stadium to Limehouse Basin - was drained for maintenance as part of a £45million countrywide scheme to keep the country's waterway system in good working order. Although Destiny 2 was forecasted to launch in September 2016, it will no longer meet this window and will be released later than initially expected, a report has claimed. While the sequel has not been officially confirmed by developer Bungie or publisher Activision, court documents published in September 2015 laid out the roadmap for the sci-fi shooter franchise. The release schedule indicated a new entry in the series would be launched in September 2016, but this is no longer the case according to a report from Kotaku. Citing sources "familiar with goings-on at the studio," the site reports "plans for Destiny's future are constantly in flux" and "just last week higher-ups at Bungie delayed Destiny 2 out of this September." It is worth noting that original release schedule in the documents were based on the first Destiny launching in 2013, which it did not. The title was delayed and instead launched in 2014 in order to accommodate "substantial revisions" to the story. Bungie and Activision intended to release new, disc-based sequels every other year until 2019, with large downloadable expansions in between. It is not clear if plans were amended in light of the delay, but the release of The Taken King in 2015 suggested a full sequel would follow in 2016. In November 2014, Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg revealed that development has started on the next "full game" in the Destiny series. "Work has also begun on future expansion packs, as well as on our next full game release," he said at the time. As of August 2015, Destiny has accumulated over 20 million registered players, who have clocked 20 billion hours in the game. In December 2015, Bungie community manager Eric Osborne addressed concerns there "won't be any more substantial content until [the studio ships] another full game, or that all of the content for the rest of Year Two will come in the form of timed events." According to Osborne the studio has a whiteboard full of "developments planned for Destiny's not-so-distant future," including new "events, activities, content, and features." "The first of these early 2016 experiences will be on a scale close to Festival of the Lost," he said. "The second will be far larger than anything you've seen since the release of The Taken King. There's also another significant update to the world and sandbox planned in this same window." The experience "on a scale close to Festival of the Lost" mentioned above is the Valentine's Day in-game event, called "Crimson Days." The event begins on February 9 and runs for one week. As part of this, Destiny's social space, the Tower, is getting a visual overhaul themed around the color red. The Crucible mode, meanwhile, will have a new 2v2 variant called Crimson Doubles. Five Nights at Freddy's World, the spinoff to the popular indie horror series, will be released on February 19. Creator Scott Cawthon announced the release date in a message posted on Steam. Versions of the game for Android and iOS devices will be released in the weeks thereafter. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TsaXgePC2No In addition, a demo for World will be released on GameJolt. World is "coming along well," Cawthon said, despite some other items that are taking up his time currently. First, he says the computer he used to make Five Nights at Freddy's 1-4, as well as World, recently bit the dust. He had all the files saved, but "it's still quite a delay to get a new machine and reconfigure software." On top of those computer issues, Cawthon recently welcomed a baby boy into the world. He actually wrote the Steam post from the hospital. "So obviously, that has kept me a little busy as well!" he said. World was announced in September 2015, at which time Cawthon stressed that, though some characters from the first four games may appear, it won't be a horror game. Going off the brief snippets of footage seen in the first teaser trailer, World certainly looks wildly different than its predecessors. A Five Nights at Freddy's movie is also in the works at Warner Bros., with an Oscar-nominated director helming the project. Five Nights at Freddy's is legitimately terrifying. In the game, players must survive in a scary version of Chuck E. Cheese's that's full of animatronic monsters. Take a look at the video below to see it in action. It's a four-lane PCI-Express NVMe drive with the M.2 form factor that allows for better airflow and cooling. The M8Pe is the first Plextor drive that uses the NVMe protocol, which reduces latency and allows for faster speeds. It's the end of SATA as we know it, folks, and we feel great.Plextor says that the PCIe connection enables 4KB random read performance up to 270,000 IOPS, and 4KB write performance up to 150,000 IOPS. It also features intelligent RAM caching, and smart compression technology to boost performance and storage capacity. For reference, the M.2 Samsung 950 Pro SSD promises 270,000 IOPS on 4K random reads and 110,000 on random writes, or 2500 MB/s / 1500 MB/s sequential read/write speeds. So yeah: these things are fast.In addition, the M8Pe has a feature allowing private data to be hidden securely on shared computers. Unlike some of the other PCIe-based SSDs we've seen at the show, the M8e doesn't make its M.2 form-factor drive easily accessible to remove from the PCIe board and place into an M.2 slot.Plextor hasn't yet released details about the price or when the M8Pe is coming out, but this year is a safe bet. Ubisoft has announced the minimum and recommended PC specifications and provided a list of supported video cards for the upcoming prehistoric action game Far Cry Primal. http://static2.gamespot.com/uploads/scale_super/1179/11799911/2988151-primal.jpg his information was posted today on the Ubisoft blog. At least 4 GB of RAM is required to run Far Cry Primal, while you'll also need a 64-bit operating system and Windows 7, 8.1, or 10. You can see the minimum and recommended Far Cry Primal specs below. In other news about Far Cry Primal, Ubisoft held a livestream today dedicated to the game. During the broadcast, Ubisoft confirmed that you'll have the option to remove the HUD. This will provide an extra-difficult challenge, developers said, especially in areas where you need to use stealth. Far Cry Primal arrives February 23 on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, while the PC edition debuts March 1. At the end of the livestream today, developers teased that Ubisoft will make some exciting announcements next week about the game, though no other details were divulged. (That's my definition of a PC: can it run Windows?)Specifically, it's the New Nintendo 3DS that shutterbug has wrangled Windows 95 onto (the older, less powerful version of the hardware doesn't seem to have enough RAM.) http://gamingbolt.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/infinity-ward-2016.jpg Another year, another Call of Duty. Of course, considering the resurgence the franchise has seen in the last year, with the launch of Treyarch’s Black Ops 3, which reverses the trend of flagging sales and quality for the franchise, one is bound to have renewed enthusiasm for the franchise again. This year’s Call of Duty game is going to be helmed, presumably, by franchise creators Infinity Ward, who have hinted that great things are in store for Call of Duty fans. “Happy new year!! 2016 is going to be incredible. Let’s do this,” Infinity Ward said on Twitter. “Here’s to reaching new heights!” The last Infinity Ward Call of Duty game, Ghosts, was launched in 2013, for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii U, and PC, to wide critical disdain. However, it was made on a truncated development cycle, and suffered from the console transition as well- presumably, this year’s game, which will be the first game Infinity Ward have developed on a three year cycle, can live up to the standard set by past Infinity Ward Call of Duty games.
