Dzikus
I'd like to suggest a new modification to the knife goatsound. # Play global goat sound?# 0 = deactivated# 1 = only victim# 2 = victim + attacker# 3 = global Knife goatsound is a little bit unrealistic, so there should be some options like in ETPro (or other mods). Management gaoesa Posted January 14, 2014 Management Share Posted January 14, 2014 The current implementation is equivalent to ETPro's b_goatsound 1. We can add the option to disable the sound. I.e. make the feature enabled by a cvar. Dragonji
Subscriber JohnDory Posted January 15, 2014 Subscriber Share Posted January 15, 2014 We have different sounds available on our servers to set as we want. There is no reason why you cannot change the sound to one more acceptable to you. I.e. make the feature enabled by a cvar.It would be very nice. We have different sounds available on our servers to set as we want. There is no reason why you cannot change the sound to one more acceptable to you. There should be at least CVAR for turning this on/off. For example - I want to absolutelly remove goat kinfe sound on my server because there is no realism in it. Stabbed people make this goat sound and everyone around is warned about assasin. That makes no sense at all, and 4th level of CVOps is less valuable in this configuration. The only method I know for changing this option is manual replacement of proper wav file responsible for the goat sound. Putting wav without a sound is a bit unprofessional solution, don't you think? Edited January 16, 2014 by Dzikus

Putting wav without a sound is a bit unprofessional solution, don't you think? You could just remove the goat sound so it couldn't find it to play but a cvar option to turn it on and off is by far the best solution. Dzikus
a cvar option to turn it on and off is by far the best solution. So we both agree on this one. Hope this problem will be taken seriously by Silent Mod team.
Subscriber JohnDory Posted January 18, 2014 Subscriber Share Posted January 18, 2014 So far as I have seen they always take comments seriously and then decide whether to implement them or not.
Management gaoesa Posted January 19, 2014 Management Share Posted January 19, 2014 The goat sound will depend on g_goatSound [0|1] cvar from version 0.8.2 onwards.
