  1. Hello

I've forgotten a setting on my server, who can be useful for beginners :

When reaching level 4 medic, I'd like an automatic health regeneration for other classes.

I can not find the CVAR in wiki with keywords medic, health, regener ...

    Actually I have set :

    • g_medics 192
    • g_medicHealthRegen 4

    Thanks in advance,

    [DIABOLIK]$mart

  2. Hello, I think this problem is only for soldier. With other classes, I can spawn with my primary weapon and single-colt for second. But with soldier, secondary weapon is always double-colt even if I choose single-colt.

  3. Hi Patriot !

What about using the 2048 flag of g_logOptions ?

Configuration options for different data to be logged.     2048 Print TK death message like a normal kill message, giving killing weapon, except it is preceeded by a red TEAMKILL: identifier. Only works if g_obituary is set to 3.

Try it and tell us  B)

  4. Thanks JohnDory, I agree 100%

@gaoesa: sure, including a vid_restart is not the solution, few players have SSD storage xD

Now:  " it doesn't sound right to change the settings for other mods from silEnT."

Maybe it can be asked to the community, the few times I play other mods, I always keep my resolution, the native 16/10. Maybe it is the same for other players, you can adjust FOV, mouse-sensibility, etc ... but why changing the resolution ?

  5. No, I think that a beginner is unable to add "+set fs_game silent" in its shortcut.

When I say "beginner", I talk about someone who never played IDsoftware games, even don't know to open the console.

I just want to know if the silEnT team can make a workaround.

But why do you say: You could always cheat if you do not play any other mods ?

  6. Sorry to notice that 1.5 years too late, but here is a test :

    1/ fresh install of W:ET2.6

2/ no custom cfg, no autoexec, nothing, like a real beginner

3/ launch ET.exe, clik PLAY ONLINE, and I connect to my favorite silEnT server ^^

    4/ auto-download of all pk3 OK, click RESOLUTION and I choose the native-one 1920x1080

5/ I quit the game, and re-launch it, re-connect to my server, and the resolution is back to 800x600 !!!

Does-it mean that a beginner is obliged to re-choose the resolution each time he connects ? Is there a way that silEnT mod forces the saving of the config ?

    Thanks !

PS: I use an autoexec.cg with the right r_mode etc ... but a beginner is far-away to know this tip.

  7. Hello,

I run since yesterday a new map who needs to have "com_hunkmegs 128".

    So, in silent/mapconfigs/fueldump-z.cfg, I've put :

    forcecvar com_hunkmegs 128

But I wonder if that can cause some problems to some clients ... because it is not a "classical" CVAR, it is latched, and maybe needs "admin permission" to take effect (I think of OS different to WindowsXP), or else known-problems ?

So I'd like to know what's your advice please ?

    Bye

    $mart

    PS: map is fueldump-z  http://forum.splatterladder.com/index.php?showtopic=15222&st=0&p=83415&&do=findComment&comment=83415

  8. Thanks a lot for helping me, but for sure the problem is here:

    wolf@lasmartbox:~$ df -h
Filesystem            Size  Used Avail Use% Mounted on
    /dev/simfs             64G  3.9G   42G   9% /
    tmpfs                 256M     0  256M   0% /lib/init/rw
    tmpfs                 256M     0  256M   0% /dev/shm

(42G+3.9G = 64G ..... as you can see, space-disk is eaten by an alienware lol)

    So I made a new ticket at http://www.pulseheberg.com   :(
  9. OK for ioping, gonna try it.

I've made the bench from the link of my previous post, and get this result:

    Does-it seem normal ?

Concerning the CPU, I want to try the tool in this forum http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=2be42efe8e3f79996fe00fd7cfbbc469&t=924581 , which can be a database-reference if I use the link in the 1st post.
