During PC Gamer's PC Gaming Show 2019 event at E3 2019, game developer Larian Studios took the stage to share more details about Baldur's Gate 3, the long-awaited sequel to one of the most critically acclaimed PC game series of all time. Studio founder and creative director Swen Vincke, and Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) creative Director Mike Mearls, discussed what the two companies have been doing together for the past two years of the game's development. Namely, they've been playing lots of D&D together – the 45-year-old tabletop role-playing game (RPG) on which the Baldur's Gate franchise is based. In particular, we know now that Baldur's Gate 3 will be based on the latest rule set for D&D, known popularly as "5th Edition," which launched via new books back in late 2014. This is especially interesting considering the open-ended and lightweight nature of that rule set in comparison to 2nd Edition D&D, which is what the first two Baldur's Gate games were based on. These are the best gaming monitors to play Baldur's Gate 3 onSurely, one of these best gaming laptops will be ready to run the game"To me, it's the crown jewel of D&D computer games," Mearls said on stage. "It's so exciting to see it come to a new generation of gamers. It's so important to the D&D franchise as a whole." Tied in tightly with 5th Edition D&D"So, we started with the Player's Handbook, and we ported as much as we could to the video game," Vincke said. When pressed, Vincke elaborated that Larian Studios used the 5th Edition D&D Players Handbook as the source material for the Baldur's Gate 3 gameplay systems. However, Vincke did note that not every aspect of 5th Edition D&D will make it into the game, as many mechanics get lost in the translation. Despite all that, Vincke presented an in-game scenario that sounds as if it would be impossible in most video game RPGs of today. "Let's say we get into a fight because you asked me a question and I don't like it, and I want to grab a chair, set it on fire and throw it at your head, we need to add a system to the game to make that possible," Vincke said. However, it appears that Baldur's Gate 3 will be tied in even more tightly with the tabletop RPG. Baldur's Gate: Descent into Avernus, a new module for the tabletop RPG coming this September, will serve as a prequel story to Baldur's Gate 3 on the PC. This is a levels 1st through 13th campaign involving an adventure into the first layer of the Nine Hells in the D&D setting's Forgotten Realms, a story that will prime players for the Baldur's Gate 3 game. It may well be the first time a tabletop RPG module has served as a prequel for an attached video game. As for when we can expect to play Baldur's Gate 3, Vincke simply stated, "When it's ready." Bethesda spent plenty of time showing off some less than exciting games at E3 2019, with updates to Elder Scrolls Online and Fallout 76, including a new 52-player battle royale mode for the latter. One interesting new title was announced though, Deathloop, and it comes from the creative studio behind the Dishonored franchise. Taking the stage the Bethesda's keynote, Deathloop's game director at Arkane Lyon, Dinga Bakaba, spoke about the new game, explaining that "Deathloop combines a mind-bending story with meticulously designed levels, and of course, Arkane's signature gameplay that lets you approach any situation any way you like." While the studio only showed off a CGI cinematic trailer, no in-engine or in-game footage, it did give a sense of the sort of game we're looking at. Here's where to watch Bethesda's E3 livestreamCheck out Microsoft's E3 livestreamSee all the E3 2019 trailersDeathloop will be a first-person action game, and Bakaba says it will be "different from anything we've done before." The game is set on a frozen island called Black Reef, "where the party never ends," according to a postcard held by one of the main characters. The game will follow two assassin's who battle each other on the island, along with plenty of enemies who seem in a state of constant riot. Per the game's title, there is an ongoing loop. The trailer shows the two assassin's, Colt and Juliana, killing each other over and over only to resurrect and resume the fight. They seem to be stuck in a time loop, and the island of Black Reef has some peculiar equipment on it that could be the source of the time loop. While there appears to be plenty of weaponry at the disposal of the two assassin's, there also appear to be special abilities. We see Colt effectively Jedi Force push an enemy while Juliana appears able to blink forward a la Dishonored. We've gotten the vibe this could be a game in the style of Bioshock but with the Groundhog Day time loop. And, since the game is centered heavily around two different characters, it may be that Arkane has plans to make it a multiplayer game, or allow players to pick which character they want to play through the game as, as was the case in Dishonored 2. Here's a look at the trailer: See Microsoft's next console: Xbox Project Scarletthttp://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/techradar/digital-home/~4/WyRKcP7FMQE

After a distinct lack of great first-party titles in 2018, Microsoft is ready to turn things around in 2019. That’s right, there are a number of great Xbox One games coming this year. How can we be so sure? We got a chance to see them first-hand at Microsoft’s E3 2019 keynote, which went down on Sunday, June 9. At this year’s show we got to see tons of Xbox-exclusive and non-Xbox exclusive games that are going to take over your console this time next year? So what should you be excited about? Here are the best Xbox games we saw at E3 2019 coming to Xbox One - and titles that are headed to the next consoles of Project Scarlett, which we just learned will launch in Holiday (end-of-year) 2020. Halo Infinite Master Chief is back, baby. In a new trailer for Halo Infinite we get to see Chief coming out of a long hibernation and come face-to-face with...well, we’ll let you see for yourself. Halo Infinite came at the tail-end of the keynote, right after Microsoft announced its new console, Project Scarlett, and both the game and console will be out at the end of next year. Cyberpunk 2077CD Project Red’s long-awaited Cyberpunk 2077 was a colossus we wondered if we’d see at the show. We’ve been looking forward to the audacious neon-drenched role-playing game as more and more footage has been released. And with Sony gone, Microsoft swept in to drop a new trailer with story content and then bring none other than Keanu Reeves onstage to drop the biggest announcement of E3 2019: Cyberpunk 2077 is coming on April 16, 2020. Yeah. We're pumped. Star Wars: Fallen Order If you’re hoping for a game to accompany Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker, you’re in luck, EA and Respawn Entertainment are hard at work bringing Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order to life. In the trailer shown off at Microsoft’s E3 2019 keynote, we got to see the game’s protagonist Cal Kestis take on an AT-AT walker on the planet of Kashyyyk before running into guerrilla fighter – and all-around badass – Saw Gerrera. Gears 5The fifth installment of the Gears of War franchise (shortened to ‘Gears 5’ this time around) is indeed coming soon - September 10, to be precise, or four days earlier if you pick up the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. We didn’t see much new this time around in terms of the plot, though Microsoft did reveal a brand-new 3-player co-op mode (perfect for local couch play, they said) called Escape where you, er, escape a Locust-infested area. Bleeding Edge Bleeding Edge is the first title from Ninja Theory since the studio was acquired by Microsoft, as was announced at E3 2018. Unlike their last game, the emotionally visceral Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, Bleeding Edge is a bright and chaotic 4-v-4 multiplayer game. This is the first we’ve seen of the title, and can only speculate as to how it will play. Minecraft Dungeon Minecraft Dungeon, a nice surprise at Microsoft’s keynote, is what happens when you combine Mojang’s open-ended exploration game with a dungeon-crawler like Diablo 3. The result is a child’s first action-RPG with some neat character customization. Phantasy Star Online 2Phantasy Star Online 2 is the follow-up to the original Phantasy Star Online, which launched on Dreamcast in 2000. The sequel isn’t new - it first came out in 2012 in Japan and has been ported around since to the PS Vita (2013), PlayStation 4 (2016), and Nintendo Switch (2018) - but it does have a strong following. The F2P online RPG will have randomized areas, events and ‘multiparty areas’ where up to 12 players can leap into the fray together. Expect this in 2020. Microsoft Flight SimulatorMicrosoft Flight Simulator has been on a five-year hiatus, but it’s coming back with gorgeous 4K graphics in 2020. Flying over iconic landscapes powered by satellite data and Azure AI is what this flight simulation is all about. The game comes to Windows 10 with Xbox Game Pass next year, then Xbox One at a later date. Wasteland 3Fun fact: the original post-apocalyptic RPG Wasteland came out in 1988 and served as a basis for the Fallout game franchise. A sequel was finally released in 2014, Wasteland 2, by studio inXile Entertainment, and Wasteland 3 is the follow-up. Expect similar isometric tactical combat and tough choices as you navigate through the brutal world of the Colorado Nation. Blair WitchDid you think you’d get a video game based on the 1999 film that changed horror, The Blair Witch Project? Us neither. Bloober team, the studio behind the psychological horror game Layers of Fear, seems well-prepared to make a similar first-person scary experience with Blair Witch. In it, you’ll explore spooky woods and investigate with your trusty camera. Hopefully we’ll see more before the game drops on August 30, 2019. Elden RingThe rumors were true: the baffling game from Dark Souls/Bloodborne creator Hidetaka Miyazaki and A Song of Ice and Fire’s George R.R. Martin got a reveal trailer. Elden Ring is a fantasy action-RPG that, well, we know very little about from the trailer, which showed off some evocatively-posed characters with nonsensical narration in a very Dark Souls-like tone poem. The Bandai-Namco and FromSoftware co-production has no release date yet. Ori and the Will of the Wisps Microsoft’s whimsical platformer reappeared at its 2019 keynote with a new trailer and a release date: February 11, 2019. As one of the most fondly remembered indie games from the Xbox One’s launch library, Ori won fans over with its tricky platforming and heart-felt story of an abandoned creature looking for a family. Along the way Ori gained abilities that let it explore new areas of the eponymous forest and we’re likely to see a similar progression in the next game. If you’re into wonderful, whimsical platformers, Ori and the Will of the Wisps is one to keep your eye on. And more to come...That's just to kick off the week: we’re only a couple press conferences into E3 2019 so far, and we expect a lot more great games and trailers revealed as the week goes on. Keep checking back to see all the best stuff coming to the Xbox One in the coming days. E3 2019 is the biggest gaming event of the year. Can't get enough of The Elder Scrolls universe? Then if you're the proud owner of a Nintendo Switch console, you're soon going to be able to play The Elder Scrolls: Blades on Nintendo's hybrid console. Announced during the Bethesda E3 2019 conference, so-called "Switch Blades" will launch "this fall" and will be totally free...to play. It'll still have the microtransactions that made the iOS and Android versions of the game a bit of a pain, unfortunately. But there's no such thing as a free lunch, even in Tamriel. What's newIf you've played the game on mobile devices, your progress in the dungeon crawling RPG will carry over to the new Nintendo Switch version. As is standard with Switch games, it'll support mobile and docked TV play, bringing Blades to bigger screens for the first time. The game is also getting a huge new update across all versions of the title, with a new dragon-filled questline becoming available immediately after the Bethesda showcase. There was a lot of excitement for The Elder Scrolls: Blades leading up to its initial mobile launch, but the game suffered from some stingy free-to-play mechanics. It's improved since launch, but still has some way to go to living up to the superb Elder Scrolls heritage. Here's hoping the jump to Nintendo's console inspires a more generous play experience. As for The Elder Scrolls 6? Looks like we're going to have to wait for E3 2020 to find out more about the next big game in the series... E3 2019 is the biggest gaming event of the year. There’s a new Xbox on the way, and it’s called the Xbox Project Scarlett. Or, at least that's its codename. Microsoft finally announced its next-generation Xbox console during its big E3 2019 keynote conference, and it's looking set to be a monster. “For us, the console is vital and central to our experience. A console should be designed, and built and optimized for one thing, and one thing only – gaming,” said Xbox boss Phil Spencer, showing the company's renewed commitment to making the very best games console it can first and foremost, after the mixed messaging of its flawed Xbox One launch. “This decisive moment of discovery is etched in your gaming history." “We on Team Xbox will always be dedicated to delivering the best new games for you to discover. This right now is the single most creative and energizing time in gaming history. Games and gamers can be a significant unifying force for the world.” Xbox Project Scarlett is looking to be an incredibly powerful home gaming machine, with custom built components from AMD, and an SSD drive at its heart allowing for innovative game development techniques. Here's what we know so far about what we anticipate will later be known as the 'Xbox Two'. http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/jpTC4CX9LjwHhnspaFPjwY.jpg Xbox Project Scarlett internal hardware. (Image credit: Microsoft) Xbox Project Scarlett: key factsWhat is it? Xbox Project Scarlett will be the next-gen Xbox console, aka the Xbox TwoXbox Project Scarlett release date: Microsoft has given Xbox Project Scarlett a release window of "Holiday 2020" – so that's likely between the months of October and December 2020.What can I play on it? Halo Infinite is its first confirmed launch title, while all previous generations of Xbox console games will be covered by backwards compatibility.http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/32v5ohQhRpcu4hpsqPmYvY.jpg Xbox Project Scarlett components. (Image credit: Microsoft) Xbox Project Scarlett specs and release dateWith only a sizzle reel to go by, we don't yet know what the Xbox Project Scarlett will look like, let alone if it'll eventually be named the Xbox Two. But we do have a good idea of its internal hardware, and the Xbox Project Scarlett specs are already sounding quite special. Using custom-designed processor from AMD making use of Zen 2 and Navi architecture, Xbox Project Scarlett will be 4x more powerful than the Xbox One X. It'll be possible of running games at 120Hz frame rates, at potential 8K resolutions, while also showcasing fancy real-time ray-tracing tech. It's the works. An SSD will come as standard, as with the PS5, which will give it the option of using its storage system as virtual RAM, as well as lifting load time performance by a factor of 40x. That'll let developers stream in far more detailed worlds around a player. In terms of 'standard' RAM, the console will pack in a meaty GDDR6. It's also likely that the new Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 that is available for pre-order right now and launching November 4 of this year will be the controller for this upcoming console. That could just be wishful thinking, but with the hyperbolic language surrounding this announcement, we would expect nothing less. http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/uFSkoMftaFGYwUJ49yktiW.jpg Halo Infinite will be a Project Scarlett exclusive. (Image Credit: Microsoft) Halo Infinite will be a launch title, bringing back the Master Chief, but you wont be wanting for games to play at launch. Xbox Project Scarlett will be capable of three generations of backwards compatibility. So, as well as Scarlett-era games, it'll also play games from the Xbox One, the Xbox 360, and the very first generation of the Xbox. Expect to see the Xbox Project Scarlett console launch in the 'holiday' window of 2020. We'll have more soon – hopefully including a firm release date, and a real name for the console. Keep in mind that all the rumors pointed to there being two new Xbox consoles on the way, codenamed Anaconda and Lockhart, the former being high end (likely what we've seen here) and the latter being a cheaper, streaming-focused solution. Time will tell if that's still Microsoft's plan, but one thing's for certain – it's throwing down the gauntlet for Sony's PlayStation 5 to take on. E3 2019 is the biggest gaming event of the year. At Microsoft's E3 2019 keynote today, Xbox Chief Phil Spencer announced that Halo Infinite is going to be a launch game for the company's next-gen console, codenamed Project Scarlett. Even better, both the new console and the new Halo game will arrive around the end of next year (‘Holiday 2020’). The announcement came at the end of Microsoft’s E3 2019 keynote and sets the stage for the future console: the Halo franchise is widely regarded as the original Xbox’s first must-play game, so the move to launch a next-gen with a Halo game is both symbolic and quite business-savvy on Microsoft’s part. To coincide with the announcement, Microsoft and the game's developer 343 Industries unveiled a new Halo Infinite trailer, available below. The first of many Xbox Project Scarlett gamesWhile Microsoft isn't ready to unveil its entire Project Scarlett launch library – I mean, the console was just unveiled publicly for the first time today – Halo Infinite is a strong start. It's also important this time around for Microsoft to lead with games and software, and not entertainment or services, the mistake it made six years ago when announcing the Xbox One. If we hear any more about Project Scarlett's launch games, we'll add them here. E3 2019 is the biggest gaming event of the year. Gamers are already getting something huge from E3 2019 in the form of Star Wars Jedi: The Fallen Order. But, for gamers that don't want to go to space, Microsoft's E3 keynote also brings with it another game to get hyped for: Elden Ring. This new game is a George R.R. Martin project that was recently leaked, and Microsoft's presentation finally confirms it. Elden Ring is create by FromSoftware, the studio behind the Dark Souls franchise, Bloodbourne, and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. So, it's likely to combine all the brutality of Dark Souls with the narrative genius of Game of Thrones. The new trailer for Elden Rings doesn't give away anything in terms of gameplay, but with more than one sword shown and a spear and hammer given screen time, it looks like it will be as melee focused as FromSoftware's past games. Here's how to watch Microsoft's E3 2019 livestreamCheck out all the E3 2019 trailersGet all the details from Microsoft's E3 2019 keynoteElden Ring will take place in a game world created by FromSoftware's Hidetaka Miyazaki and George R.R. Martin. And, while there may have been some hopes for a game less bleak than past FromSoftware games on account of Martin's influence, the trailer paints as bleak a world as any found in past FromSoftware games. We see humans crumbling, falling apart, and characters attaching severed limbs to their bodies only for those limbs to reanimate. There are fiery red skies, massive enemies, and battlefields littered with corpses. The trailer came with the following narration: "I doubt you could even imagine it. That which commanded the stars giving life its fullest brilliance. The Elden Ring. Oh, Elden Ring, shattered by someone or something. Don't tell me you don't see it. Look up at the sky. It burns." While many games at Microsoft's keynote had release dates attached, Elden Ring didn't. It will come to Xbox One and Windows PC though, suggesting it may launch before the new Xbox Project Scarlett console launches in late 2020. Artificial intelligence is gaining traction across various fields, especially health care, and with the use of data, it’s turning it into meaningful insights. Dubai-born Medicus uses an AI platform and works with diagnostic labs to translate medical reports and blood tests into visual and interactive report that a common person can understand. “AI works in multiple ways. It converts all those numbers into explanations with machine learning personalising the experience for users. Then we have AI that works with medical labs to make it easy and integrate with the system,” Baher Al Hakim, CEO of Medicus, told TechRadar Middle East. Born in Syria, Al Hakim is a dentist by study and a serial entrepreneur by practice with 15 years of tech experience in various companies such as Wally, Restronaut and Napkin. Al Hakim was thinking of starting a global company from Dubai and then move to Silicon Valley. “I learned that having a company located somewhere else is also necessary to attract big clients and money. After doing some research, I learned that having a base in Europe is an optimal place for health care sector as they have...good public support for healthcare companies,” he said. So, he started building his team for Medicus from Dubai in 2015. When he raised his first round of funding from the region and from Austria, he moved to Vienna and incorporated the company in Vienna in 2016. Since then, Al Hakim does businesses in both Dubai and Vienna. Medicus has offices in Berlin, Paris and Beirut. How the app worksHealth care is complex and impenetrable and, at the same time, he said that it is in dire need of a user-experience overhaul and that people are now used to experiencing things in a much simpler and clear fashion. “Our app takes all of the reports such as personal profile, family history, medications, and the most tested blood, urine and stool markers and medical history and gives exactly what those numbers mean and provides continuous coaching to improve health,” he said. If the diet of the patient is not healthy, Al Hakim says the app will give recommendations to improve and if the diet is healthy, then it will recommend when to visit a doctor or when to do a retest. “The app will ask you many questions and based on that, it will give you continuous recommendations based on the medical guidelines and based on the region” he said. There are around 50,000 diseases and it is impossible to support all the diseases- Medicus currently supports around 400 diseases and by the end of the year, aims to support around 1,000 diseases and 2,000 tests. Medicus’ biggest clients come from this region, especially Saudi Arabia“We have 10 clients, including medical labs and insurance providers. We have two from the region and eight from Europe,” he said. Moreover, he said that insurance providers are interested in making you healthy in a bid to cut costs and Medicus allows them to do that. “The region is open to health innovation but, unfortunately, as we are still young and very small, we did not have the time to push it in the region. This year, we will be focusing more on the UAE market. The biggest obstacles we face are in hiring and raising capital,” he said. Data privacyMedicus has raised 1.5 million euros from two rounds and 2.75 million euros in the third round, recently. By end of the year, Al Hakim expects to raise 6.5 million euros in total. “This will be enough for the next two years and we are also planning to expand globally. We are looking into China, Portugal, Spain, Brazil, Italy, apart from the Middle East,” he said. The biggest issue with the use of data is security and privacy but Al Hakim has kept a close vigil. “We have the toughest privacy standards in the world and the data never leaves your phone. You can use the app in the offline mode. Data privacy is very strict in Europe. “Anything can be hacked but even if a hacker hacks your phone, he will hack only one account. It is up to the user to protect his device and the data. If a hacker hacks a server, he can expose millions of accounts. No hacker will spend so much time to hack one person,” he said. To date, Medicus supports Arabic, German, French and English, with Italian, Chinese, Portuguese and Spanish in the pipeline for this year. If you were one of the first people to pull the trigger on an entry-level Tesla Model 3 purchase, but you didn't go for all the trimmings, time is running out if you want to make the most of your free upgrade bundle. Several differences between the Standard Range Model 3 and the Standard Range Plus Model 3 – such as Autopilot options and acceleration speeds – are controlled at the software level. Until now, some early adopters have been getting Plus features effectively for free, but that'll change within the next 10 days, as per an email from Tesla. The Model 3 recently dropped in priceWhat we pay for autonomous carsCheck out the SUV Tesla Model YIncluded in the downgrades is a drop in maximum range from 240 miles to 220 miles – something to bear in mind if you've been using a Standard Range Model 3 with Standard Range Plus features up to this point. Pay as you driveOf course, all the Tesla owners affected can continue to keep using the unlocked Plus version of the software, provided they pay to upgrade. The difference between the models when purchased currently stands at $4,500 (about £3,532 / AU$6,430). "To continue experiencing the extended range, faster acceleration and Autopilot features of Model Standard Range Plus, schedule a service appointment through your Tesla app," explains Tesla's email. That some Model 3 owners have got away with extra features free of charge to this point seems to have been an oversight on Tesla's part, carried over from the launch of a new entry-level configuration earlier this year. However, it's understandable that Tesla has let the error slide for so long – it acts as a sort of free trial for the Standard Range Plus features, and a number of drivers may well be tempted to upgrade within the next 10 days. You want a distilled list of the E3 2019 trailers, and that's exactly what we're going to serve up on this constantly updated page while we're at the press conferences (and sometimes getting hands-on time with the games you see). We're about to get new trailers from Microsoft and Bethesda today, our second day of E3 press conferences, and yesterday we got our first taste of both video game teasers and gameplay footage, care of Electronic Arts and EA Sports at its EA Play press conference. They are in-depth, too, with full walkthroughs of the Star Wars Fallen Order, Apex Legends Season 2: Battle Cry, FIFA 20 and Madden 20 to name a few games. These E3 trailers you seen below, embedded from YouTube, are just the beginning. Besides Microsoft and Bethesda serving up even more gameplay video goodness later today, we'll have content from the PC Gaming Show on Monday, which always brings epic trailers from a variety of major publishers and indie developers. Square and Ubisoft events happen Monday, too. Check out the best E3 trailers we've amassed on our constantly updated page. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order E3 trailerStar Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was the big highlight out of the EA Play press conference at E3 2019, and this gameplay trailer tells you why. It has lightsaber battles, ample use of The Force, and enough jumping mechanics to rival the Uncharted series. It looks great, but we're waiting for true hands-on time with this one on the E3 show floor. Apex Legends: Season 2 E3 trailerApex Legend didn't get off to the best start, and Electronic Arts recognized that in its E3 live stream. Better yet, it's fixing a lot of the problems with weapon balancing and depth of challenges in Season 2. We also get a new legend, Wattson, and a backstory, as evidenced by this more nuanced storyline trailer. Battlefield 5 Chapter 4 E3 trailerChapter 4: Defying the Odds is full of fresh content, including new maps, weapons, elite characters and skins. And if you've hit a ceiling at Rank 50, you have some work to do soon, as the rank will be raised to 500. FIFA 20 E3 trailerThe official FIFA 20 E3 2019 reveal trailer focuses more on the new mode premiering than actual gameplay footage. However, you'll be happy to know that Volta Football is a part of this year's game, bringing FIFA Street like gameplay back into the mix. We'll hopefully have more gameplay video from E3 2019 as well as hands-on time. Madden NFL 20 E3 trailerNew X-Factor abilities and Face of the Franchise showed up in the Madden 20 trailer, and that's going to excite a lot of fans. So is the Pro Bowl mode that's returning after vanishing in the 2014 season. The game launched on August 2, but you can join the closed beta this month to get an early taste of this season's football sim. The Sims 4: Island Living E3 trailerThe Sims 4 has another expansion. It takes place on an island. You can go snorkeling (good) or get sunburnt (bad). There are also mermaids in this topical-themed Sims expansion for 2019. Okay, here's something worthwhile: EA partnered with the It Gets Better Project in order to bring new Pride and It Gets Better items. So you'll find new articles of clothing, a gender neutral bathroom door, and other items that will let Sims players show off their LGBTQ+ pride, according to PC Gamer. Baldur's Gate 3 E3 2019 trailerBaldur's Gate Gate 3 was the surprise announcement just ahead of E3 2019, and it's coming out sooner than anyone had expected: November 2019, within the Google Stadia launch window. It's also coming to the PC, of course. Larian Studios, the developer behind Divinity: Original Sin, is handling this game. Destiny 2: Shadowkeep E3 trailerMore Destiny 2 content is on the way in September, and this Shadowkeep E3 trailer shows that it's another major expansion, just like the Forsaken expansion before it. The good news is that you won't be required to own the original game in order to play this one. Bungie is considering this a whole new content experience. Destroy All Humans! remake E3 trailerRemember the 2005 game Destroy All Humans! and its various sequels? Well, there's a remake happening for newer consoles, the PS4, Xbox One and PC. It's not due out until 2020, so this official E3 trailer is just a teaser without actual gameplay footage. But it's enough to hold you over – if you've been running low on both Cryptosporidium 137 and late 1950s nostalgia. Darksiders Genesis E3 trailerHere's another E3 2019 trailer for a THQ franchise being carried on by THQ Nordic, which also handled Darksiders 3 a year ago. This E3-announced spin-off prequel has the fourth Horseman of the Apocalypse, Strife, as its main protagonist and it's due out in 2019 for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and even Google Stadia. Control E3 trailerThis Control teaser trailer showed up ahead of E3 2019 and it gives us just enough without actually spoiling the plot surrounding the Federal Bureau of Control. And, since this is a game from Remedy Entertainment (the developer behind the Max Payne and Alan Wake games), the story is a major component. We'll find out more on August 27 when this game launches on PS4, Xbox One and the PC. Gylt E3 2019 trailerJust ahead of E3 2019, we got a trailer for the first Google Stadia exclusive game, Gylt. It's supposed to be a haunting single player puzzle adventure game and stars the main playable character, Sally, who is searching for her missing cousin, Emily. Is this E3 reveal trailer enough to make you want to pre-order Stadia? We'll let you watch and decide. E3 2019 is the biggest gaming event of the year. TechRadar is reporting live from LA, telling you all about the biggest announcements of the week, from epic game trailers to shocking release date reveals. Follow our expert analysis of the keynotes and what we see on the E3 show floor. http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/techradar/digital-home/~4/NTa0hBTlvHs

Fitness trackers have been around for years, but only recently have they been engineered for children with kid-friendly designs and a simpler set of features. Garmin was one of the first big tech names to release the Vivofit Jr for kids back in 2016. Since then, it’s brought out the Vivofit Jr. 2 and Fitbit has followed suit, with the Fitbit Ace in 2018 and the Fitbit Ace 2 in May 2019. They may be the two most recognizable names in kids wearables, but they’re not the only ones on offer, there’s also the Kurio Watch, Leapfrog Leapband and Vtech Kidizoom Smartwatch, as well as many others. The features these wearables offer differs from tracker to tracker. Some are focused solely on activity, others are like mini smartwatches, with lots of features on offer and a whole other category of kids wearable focuses solely on location. Once considered quite niche, since Fitbit released the Ace children’s wearables have become more and more popular. Although there are no official figures on activity tracker sales for kids, Gartner predicts wearable device sales will grow 26 percent in 2019 and acknowledges children’s devices are now a key segment of the market. But why would your child need a fitness tracker? Physical inactivity is an increasing public health problem among children and teens across the globe. According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), insufficient physical activity is one of the leading risk factors for death worldwide. Stats suggest that more than 81% of adolescents between 11 and 17-years-old were insufficiently physically active. Furthermore, the WHO reports that the number of overweight and obese infants and young children (aged 0 to 5 years) increased from 32 million globally in 1990 to 41 million in 2016. There’s clearly a problem with inactivity and obesity, but can a fitness tracker solve that? http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/AciSRNaDFsfkLrDRdHqazS.jpeg The Fitbit Ace 2 comes in a range of colors with customizable bands. Image Credit: Fitbit It’s hard to say. There aren’t enough big studies about the efficacy of fitness trackers among children yet, but early research has shown they could have a positive effect. It makes sense that trackers for children have emerged, packing the same motivational factors we’re used to in trackers for adults into a smaller form factor, like seeing step counts, winning badges and competing with friends and family members to hit their goals. But there are also issues with giving activity trackers to kids, including links between daily tracking and an unhealthy focus on exercise and weight, as well as the potential for such focused tracking to suck the fun out of your child’s enjoyment of physical activity for good. We asked the experts whether activity trackers for kids are a good idea and what parents need to know before they buy one. What trackers are available for kids – and what do they actually do? There are lots of trackers for children available to buy right now. The two brands you’ll be most familiar with are Fitbit and Garmin. Garmin released the Vivofit Jr in 2016 and the Garmin Vivofit Jr 2 ($69.99 / £79.99 AU$129) in 2017. Available in a range of kid-friendly designs with themes like Star Wars, Marvel, Disney Princess and Minnie Mouse, the Vivofit Jr is a pared back version of the Vivofit 4 for adults. It has a simple, swim-friendly design with a chunky, stretchy band that should fit kids aged 4 to 7, but can be replaced with an adjustable strap as they get older. It also has a customizable color screen and one year battery life, which is good news because it means no recharging is needed. http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/LJ8ATGd4eFhS3sN42iqPtS.jpg The Garmin Vivofit Jr. 2 comes in a number of different themes, including Star Wars, Marvel and Minnie Mouse. Image credit: Garmin It tracks steps, sleep and 60 minutes of daily recommended activity and, depending on which theme band kids go for, has different challenges. For example, the Marvel band has Ultron’s Revenge, an Avengers game that allows you to complete missions by completing activity goals. Parents can view sleep and activity when it’s synced via the app and there’s also a chores function, which assigns kids tasks they need to carry out, as well as daily step challenges that the whole family can take part in. Aimed at kids aged six and up, the Fitbit Ace 2 ($69.95 / £69.99 / AU$129) offers activity, sleep and step tracking, but its main focus is on getting 60 active minutes a day. It’s aimed at kids aged six and up and has up to five days of battery life. http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/wZ6W4M8RKXSrVQcUfRg6tS.jpg The Fitbit Ace 2 has a simple, chunky design with a clear screen. Image Credit: Fitbit It has a lot of fun incentives to get kids moving, like virtual badges and avatars, as well as step challenges for the family. You can set also bedtime reminders at night and silent alarms for the morning. If your child has a phone of their own, it can also send through call alerts and, depending on how you customize it, you can also set reminders to move. The Kurio Watch ($89.95 / £39.99 / AU$98) is much more like a mini smartwatch with Bluetooth built-in. It has a camera on-board, call notifications, messages, games and a fitness tracker too all within a bright design with a comfortable strap. The Leapfrog Leapband ($35 / £30 / AU$29.99) can track all-day activity. Parents can also set challenges, which kids earn points for when they move and can then unlock rewards. It’s aimed at younger children and there’s a little pet on the screen that you look after by moving – like a Tamagotchi. There are lots of parental controls, including a quiet time mode for sleep or school. Another mini smartwatch, the VTech Kidizoom Smartwatch ($47.99 / £34.99 AUD$99) features games, a voice recorder, a camera and a pedometer, as well as some movement-based games, but no continuous tracking. http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/recc94dQxrRncMoyqtyDtS.jpg Designed to look like a smartwatch for kids, the VTech Kidizoom comes in a range of colors. Image Credit: VTech Of course there are a whole host of fitness trackers that aren’t made specially for kids, but could fit them. We’ve recommended the Xiaomi Mi Band 3 and Huawei Band 2 Pro for children in the past. There are also some wearables for kids that are just about location – not activity tracking. They’re built to keep tabs on where your kids are so you know they’re safe, like Xplora and LG’s GizmoGadget. http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/YVdymQ4fdwYhb5uuPPjvsS.jpeg Leapfrog’s Leapband comes with a virtual pet for you child to take care of. Image Credit: Leapfrog Why fitness trackers for kids are a good idea Studies have shown that tracking activity with the help of wearables devices has the potential to help some people change their behavior. Many of the trackers listed above are created with behavioral change in mind, so they allow children to see clear information about how much they’ve moved throughout the day, count their steps, take part in challenges, receive badges and rewards and more features designed to promote positive behavior and habits. “Fitness trackers can help kids become more aware of their own activity level (or lack thereof),” Joshua Kozak, CEO at HASfit and CEO at Wellthon, says. “Gentle reminders to be more active, stand regularly, and get outside to go play can help children form positive habits that last into adulthood.” We spoke to Nicola, whose son Luca has been using the Garmin Vivofit Jr. 2, and finds it motivates him to move more. “He particularly likes it when he 'wins' a new Marvel icon or completes a mission,” she says. “He does a similar thing to adults and starts jogging on the spot or running up and down stairs when he can see he's getting near to a step/active minutes goal.” Lindsay Decker, PhD student at the University of South Carolina’s Arnold School of Public Health, agrees that the appeal of activity trackers for children is often the same as for adults. “This is universal in younger and older children, they are interested in seeing the actual results right on the watch,” she tells us. “It is very interesting to children that when they take 5 or 10 steps, their watch shows that right away in real time.” Dr Lauren Sherar, who specializes in physical activity and health in children at Loughborough University, explains that preliminary data is positive. “Activity monitors may have the potential to increase children’s activity levels in the short term through self-monitoring and goal setting, two effective behavior change techniques.” But she warns us that data about the long term effectiveness is currently lacking. The problems with activity tracking http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/aihPkGig4p4bmc5Vt9K9zS.jpeg The Fitbit Ace 2 can be worn at night and tracks the different stages of your child’s sleep. Image Credit: Fitbit. Some believe that encouraging kids to look at stats relating to health and activity each day can increase obsessive focus on image, body weight and fitness in the long-run. “Just like with food, overly controlling parents can create negative associations in children that leads to children taking back control as an adult,” Kozak says. “If a child learns to directly associate exercise with being yelled at, disappointing their parents or being grounded, it doesn’t take a trained psychologist to understand how they may view exercise as an adult.” Dr Carolyn Plateau, a lecturer in psychology at Loughborough University, has been studying the effect that fitness trackers could have on eating disorders. She recently completed research with 352 young adults, with an average age of 22-years-old. 229 of them used a fitness tracking device and 123 didn’t. Those who did track their activity or food intake showed higher levels of both disordered eating and exercise than those who did not. The results also found that those who were tracking activity to manage weight and shape showed higher levels of disordered eating and exercise, as opposed to those who wanted to feel generally more fit and healthy. She tells us that this doesn’t mean fitness trackers on their own can cause eating disorders, as there are lots of factors at play. “It could just be that participants with disordered eating and exercise tendencies may be more likely to want to track their food and fitness,” Plateau says. “But, it is also possible monitoring of activity and food intake could inadvertently encourage or validate some of the features of disordered eating and exercise among those who are vulnerable.” Plateau’s work to date has been focused on adult behavior – and there’s been no specific research on children’s use and disordered eating yet. However, the age group many activity trackers are aimed at is an important one in building self identity and positive body image. That’s why parents need to understand the possible effects of activity tracking – as well as the steps they can take to build positive associations. http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/oqze92MFJLSrVc24FTcGuS.png There are two Marvel-themed versions, this one features the Avengers and Cap’s shield. Image credit: Garmin/Marvel. Activity tracking could also create a negative association with health and fitness without the right guidance. This means children could lose motivation for movement and play – especially if they begin to view it as a chore. “The biggest downside would be the potential risk of sapping the fun out of children’s play,” Dr Sherar says, “Care must be taken to ensure the use of the device is not seen as a negative by the child (i.e., they shouldn’t feel watched, controlled, judged, measured in a negative way).” “Care must be taken to avoid promoting a narrow view of what physical activity is beneficial,” Dr Dale Esliger, who specializes in wearable technology for behavior change at Loughborough University, says. “Climbing a tree may not rack up the step counts, but it is a wonderfully healthful physical activity.” What can parents do to make activity tracking positive? None of these potential issues mean parents shouldn’t buy fitness trackers for their children. Instead, there’s a lot they can do to address them – and to help build a beneficial and lasting relationship with health and exercise in the long-run. Decker explains that communication is important. “Children want to emulate adult behavior, so, often when the parent asks about the wearable device, or even wears one too, kids are likely to keep interest in looking at the data, improving their activity, and even competing with their parents,” she says. This is why the Fitbit and Garmin products for kids could have the most lasting appeal – many parents already have their own tracker, which turns fitness into a family goal rather than just an individual one. “Family challenges can be an excellent way of enhancing sustained engagement while also enhancing the physical activity of the whole family,” says Dr Esliger. It’s also important to talk through the logistics of an activity tracker. Although children may be familiar with tech, a wearable is a little different to an iPad. “Parents can help by telling kids this is a responsibility and how to treat the wearable and by creating a routine where they look at their daily steps and talk about why they got more or less than the previous day and then maybe taking time to charge it together,” Decker tells us. Keeping up with where the device is and if it’s charged may also be something children need help with at the start. “Kids often take off the device and set it down, in the bathroom, at their school desk, on the couch, and don't even realize it – this is how a lot of devices get lost or misplaced,” she tells us. http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/Zr2fzaZfr2SktaFTAG662T.jpg From the Fitbit Ace 2’s screen kids can see stats, goal celebrations, parent-approved friends and call notifications. Image Credit: Fitbit Although there’s plenty parents and caregivers can do, the onus shouldn’t be solely on them. Tech companies can make building positive associations with health and fitness easier by continuing to create products that put the wellbeing of children front and centre. Dr Esliger believes there are a number of ways tech companies can build better, more beneficial trackers. “Utilizing gamification (such as seen in Pokemon Go) may add to the appeal of activity monitors for children,” he says. “Sensory methods of feedback (such as vibrating or lighting up) would likely be more attractive, especially for younger children.” He also believes special attention needs to be paid to the feedback trackers give children. “Messages should be focused on the holistic benefits of physical activity, with devices refraining from monitoring and goals surrounding weight-loss and/or calories,” Dr Esliger says. Most of the devices we’ve covered already incorporate many of these features. But as smartwatches and wearables for children become more popular, every company venturing into the space needs to be clear about what’s best for youngsters. “Tech companies need to be deliberate in giving parents the right tools and framework to implement the technology,” says Kozak. “Without it, fitness trackers for kids can have the exact opposite effect they’re looking for.” What is a smart bottle?http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/techradar/digital-home/~4/OwRWfYRfccw

Australia have only failed to qualify for the Women's World Cup once (the very first in 1991). Italy are less familiar to the tournament, with this the first time they've qualified since 1999. How will the two teams fair, in this, their Women's World Cup 2019 Group C opening match? Read on to find out how you can catch an Australia vs Italy live stream from anywhere around the world with our instructions below. Despite the Matildas' regular appearances in the competition over the years, they've never progressed beyond the quarter-final stage. The Aussies impressed during the recent Cup of Nations at the start of the year, but have gone on to lose against the USA and the Netherlands in the run up to the World Cup. Despite those two recent defeats, the Matildas should not be discounted. They have talent in all areas of the field and will have been boosted by the news that key midfielder Elise Kellond-Knight has recovered from injury for the match. Australia will be favourites going into the game, but on the basis of recent form it wouldn't be a shock to see Italy earn at least a draw from the match. Key to their hopes will be Juventus striker Cristiana Girelli, whose seven goals in qualifying propelled the Auzerre to their first World Cup in two decades. Ranked 15th in the world, the Italians go into the World Cup in fine form having only only lost one match in the past year - and that was on penalties. The two teams have faced each other on eight occasions previously, with honours even at three wins each and two draws. Its all shaping up to be a fascinating World Cup encounter. Don't miss any of the action by following the instructions below and grabbing a live stream of Australia vs Italy wherever you are in the world. Are you ready for the showdown of cricket giants? Over a week in to the 2019 Cricket World Cup, and we finally get a clash between two of the pre-tournament favourites. And this has got classic written all over it. One of India or Australia will walk away from The Oval today with a CWC loss to their name, and we can't pick which it's going to be. We'd advise making Sunday plans to watch this one - that's why we've created this guide for getting an India vs Australia live stream, regardless of where you are in the world. Winners of this competition in 1983 and 2011, India arrived late to the 2019 tournament to recover from another intense IPL. But Virat Kohli's men looked no-less fresh for that, with a stonking win over South Africa in their first game. The awesome Rohit Sharma scored an outstanding century that day, while Jasprit Bumrah's bowling brilliance showed why he has risento the top of the world rankings in this format. Australia’s first action of the tournament saw them ease past Afghanistan in routine fashion with a seven wicket victory in Bristol. And then came an absolute cracker at Trent Bridge, where heroics from Nathan Coulter-Nile with the bat and Mitchell Starc with the ball eventually vanquished the West Indies by 15 runs. They'll need to raise their game in London to stand any chance of winning against India. Both teams will be desperate to win this one and really get the other teams at the 2019 Cricket World Cup quaking. Getting an India vs Australia live stream is the easy bit and you can continue reading to see how to watch from just about anywhere on Earth. We've not heard much from HTC over the last year or so when it comes to new phone launches – but the company could be about to reveal a new device to the world, based on an official social media post. HTC Taiwan posted a mysterious teaser on Facebook, with the date June 11 and not much else (that's this coming Tuesday, by the way). The teaser says HTC is "looking forward" to the date, and now we are too. Based on what few rumors we've heard so far, HTC is planning to take a page out of Google's book and launch a mid-range handset at the same sort of price level as the Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL. Everything to know about 5GThe story of the HTC U12More leaks for the Note 10 ProA previously leaked spec sheet pointed to a Snapdragon 710, 6GB of RAM, and Android 9 Pie. A 6-inch, 18:9 screen with an FHD+ resolution (1,080 x 2,160 pixels) has also been mooted, plus a 3,930mAh capacity battery. http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/6JHK3N4pWbezoDLj32kMi9.jpg Schematics that have shown up online suggest the phone won't raise too many eyebrows in the design department, but will have a dual-lens front-facing camera. The "e" mentioned in the teaser post is one reason that the phone is being tipped to be called the HTC U19e, though this is all speculation for now. The last flagship we saw from the company was the HTC U12 Plus last year. There was also a cheaper HTC U12 Life for HTC fans to consider and this might be the direction that the tech firm's phones go in the future, leaving the flagship field free for the likes of Samsung and Apple. HTC has also been making noises about releasing another blockchain phone this year, but the consensus seems to be that this launch is related to something else. We'll find out on Tuesday, and bring you the news as soon as it breaks. HTC still has a future in phones... but it needs to do something drasticVia SlashGear http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/techradar/digital-home/~4/DCNt43pldfc

If you’re looking to buy a pair of true wireless earbuds, you’ve no doubt come across the Apple AirPods (2019). While they’re possibly the most well-known totally wireless earphones on the planet, these days lots of smaller brands offer their own true wireless models. One such brand is Earin, whose M-2 true wireless earbuds impressed us, thanks to heir modern design and powerful balanced armature speakers. But, which true wireless earbud model is best for you? Should you opt for Apple’s iconic buds or take the road less travelled with the Earin M-2 True Wireless Headphones? To help you make an informed choice, we’ve put together this in-depth comparison of the two models. http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/oWfdwU2oGovCA8JfGCCthG.jpg Image credit: TechRadar Apple AirPods (2019) vs Earin M2 True Wireless Headphones: overviewOriginally released in 2016, the Apple AirPods arguably popularized true wireless earbuds, bringing completely cordless headphones well and truly into the mainstream. They were recently upgraded to give us the Apple AirPods (2019), the model we’ll be looking at in this comparison. Thanks to the inclusion of Apple’s new H1 chip, the updated buds have improved battery life and connectivity compared to the originals, as well as a new ‘Hey Siri’ voice activation feature – they even come with an optional wireless charging case. Earin’s M2 true wireless headphones, on the other hand, are far less well known. The company’s first true wireless earbuds were riddled with problems, like poor connectivity and a short battery life. However, the Earin M-2s are miles better, and could even give the more popular Apple AirPods (2019) a run for their money. http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/xG3AZcntykeeVVX6ueZgvG.jpg The Earin M-2 true wireless earbuds (Image credit: TechRadar) Apple AirPods (2019) vs Earin M2 True Wireless Headphones: price and availabilityThe second-gen AirPods cost $159 / £159 / AU$249 with the standard charging case, and $199 / £199 / AU$319 with the new Wireless Charging Case bundled in. You can also purchase the charging case separately for $79 / £79 / AU$129, which is good news if you have the original AirPods but want to upgrade your case to one that supports wireless charging, although you might feel it’s a high price to pay for some added convenience. Meanwhile, the Earin M-2s were launched at $249 / £219 (around AU$390), making them significantly more expensive than the ever-popular AirPods. That being said, you can currently buy them for a reduced price of $199 / £175 (around AU$285). This limited promotion makes them the same price in the US as the AirPods (2019) – and in the case of the UK and Australia, even cheaper than Apple’s true wireless earbuds. http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/kC4qVK5ZV864ETjVPAy7hG.jpg Image credit: TechRadar Apple AirPods (2019) vs Earin M2 True Wireless Headphones: designThe design of the Apple AirPods (2019) is near enough iconic, with the long earbud stems and pillbox-style charging case – and while we don’t exactly love those unwieldy stems, there’s no denying the AirPods’ popularity. On the front of the charging case you’ll find a small LED light, which allows you to check the charge status of the buds – it glows green if they’re fully charged, and orange if they’re not. Although they sport an instantly-recognizable look, the AirPods (2019) do suffer from a few design flaws, including the lack of adjustable silicone ear tips that would allow you to find the best fit for your ears. They may have felt snug and comfortable when we tested them, but the lack of eartips in every size means that wouldn’t feel comfortable using them to soundtrack a run – we’ve all heard horror stories of loose AirPods rolling into drains, never to be seen again. http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/Aps4MNTcrfpxTvWppY7tLC.jpg Image credit: TechRadar The design of the Earin M-2s is worlds apart from that of the AirPods; from the sleek charging case right down to the box they come in, the Earin M-2s look incredibly elegant, coming in matte black or white and silver color schemes. The earbuds themselves are unbelievably small, with touch-sensitive housings that you can use to control your music or summon whichever voice assistant you use on your device – and we think they generally look more stylish than the AirPods. If the size of your earbuds is a big determining factor of which model you opt for, the Earin M-2s have a far more compact design, and have no stems to stick out of your ears. Plus, they come with three sets of spare ear tips in various sizes, which means you should be able to find a snug fit for your ear shape. Instead of the pillbox shape favored by Apple, the aluminum charging case on offer with the Earin M-2s has cylindrical form that should fit comfortably into your pocket – it’s an elegant design choice, but there’s no wireless charging on offer here. If the ability to charge with a Qi-compatible charging mat is important to you, you’ll probably want to go for the Apple AirPods. http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/E3KURnpb4kemu78dBch4bG.jpg Image credit: TechRadar Apple AirPods (2019) vs Earin M2 True Wireless Headphones: featuresLet’s start with battery life; the Apple AirPods (2019) have five hours of playback built-in to the buds themselves, while the charging case offers an additional 20 hours of juice. This is where the Earin M-2s fall down. You get around four hours of playback from the earbuds, while the charging capsule only provides an additional 10 hours of battery. So, if you’re on a long haul flight with no option to charge, the Earin M-2s might not hold out for the entire journey. The AirPods, on the other hand, offer enough battery to get you through more than an entire day of listening to music, podcasts, and more. Both true wireless earbuds offer great connectivity, with rapid pairing over a Bluetooth connection. If you have an iPhone, you may find the AirPods connect to your device slightly quicker than other earbuds; thanks to the new H1 chip, the option to pair will appear on your phone screen as soon as you open the charging case. http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/E5jhEqajsefEe6S52FBRyK.jpg Image credit: TechRadar The use of the H1 chip also enables the new AirPods to offer hands-free ‘Hey Siri’ functionality. This means you can use the voice assistant command to place calls, change songs and more – basically anything Siri can do, direct from the earbuds, without needing to pull your iPhone out. The Earin M-2s also have support for voice assistants built-in; in this case, you have to use the earbuds’ touch sensitive housings. It’s one tap to play/pause your music, two taps to go to the next track, three taps to hear the previous track again, and one long tap to summon your smartphone’s voice assistant, whether you use Siri, Google Assistant, or Bixby. The AirPods (2019) are also touch sensitive, but their functionality is much more limited. You can also configure the touch controls to summon your voice assistant, play/pause your music, skip to the next or previous track, or even turn off touch controls altogether. However, you can only assign one double-tap control to each earbud, which can be slightly limiting. http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/8wNsSaoA3ZWuCRXjGTdGbG.jpg Image credit: TechRadar Apple AirPods (2019) vs Earin M2 True Wireless Headphones: sound qualityThe AirPods (2019) aren’t known for being audiophile earphones, but that’s not to say that they sound terrible. They have a lively, powerful presentation, and sound great when it comes to mid-frequency audio like vocals, guitar and keys. However, they can sound slightly harsh when it comes to higher-frequency sounds, and they aren’t the bassiest earbuds on the market. The Earin M-2s that win in this regard; they sound very impressive, with fantastic separation between the different frequencies, while stereo separation and panning between the left and right earbuds comes across naturally. They generally produce a very warm soundstage with an almost analogue quality to it; whether you consider this to be a positive or a negative largely depends on personal taste, and some users may find themselves craving a little more attack in the lower mids. Like the AirPods, the Earin M-2s aren’t particularly bassy, instead producing a more balanced sound than many consumer headphones; this is partly down to the use of balanced armature drivers. http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/2YBT9hoKCLGQ9B7pLrWPU7.jpg Image credit: TechRadar If you’re looking for more bass, you’ll want to go for true wireless earbuds like the RHA TrueConnects, which have dynamic drivers that displace more air as they vibrate, leading to richer bass frequencies. One interesting feature of the Earin M-2s is the inclusion of ‘intelligent noise reduction’. Using the dual-mics built into the earbuds, it works by processing and reducing background noise, which reduces audio masking (this is when you can’t hear your music properly due to environmental noise). Not only does this make your music sound clearer, but it also means you don’t need to play your music as loud as you might normally, preserving your precious hearing. Overall, the Earin M-2s offer a higher level of audio quality than the AirPods (2019) that may even appeal to audiophiles looking to cut the cord and step into the world of true wireless. Apple AirPods (2019) vs Earin M2 True Wireless Headphones: takeawayIn terms of design and audio quality, the Earin M-2 True Wireless Headphones are the clear winners; but in all other aspects, they're eclipsed by the Apple AirPods (2019). You get a lot more 'smart' features for your money with Apple's true wireless earbuds, such as 'Hey Siri' functionality, and super fast connection times – with iOS devices, anyway. Battery life is miles better in the AirPods (2019) too; if you're planning to use true wireless earbuds on long haul flights, for example, the Earin M-2s just won't cut it. That's not to say the buds from Earin are bad; they're actually fantastic, they just aren't as good value for money as the AirPods. Well you can thank France's foul weather for what should be another fantastic day of tennis at Roland-Garros today. The last of the semi-finals will be played out by Novak Djokovic and Dominic Thiem, before the last two women standing go at it in the final. You can watch every swipe, swing and smash using a 2019 French Open live stream from anywhere you are - you just need to use this ace (sorry) guide. Novak Djokovic is aiming for victory and shouldn't be taken lightly having won here himself three years ago. He faces last year's losing finalist Dominic Thiem who is looking to go one better this time around. While reigning men's champion Rafael Nadal is known for his dominance on clay courts. That's probably why he has managed to secure the record for most French Open titles claimed, ever. If he wins the 2019 French Open that will be a mind-blowing twelfth title - and he's safely in to the final after a straight sets victory over Roger Federer. On the women's side of the event, the favorites and biggest names have all fallen by the wayside, giving Australia's Ashleigh Barty her chance to make it all the way to her first Grand Slam final. Great Britain's Johanna Konta was expecting to join her, but lost out to teenage non-seed Markéta Vondroušová. Barty and Vondroušová will meet in Saturday's French Open final We're in for another splendid day of tennis action and here's how you can live stream all the French Open 2019 tennis excitement from wherever you are in the world. Virtuality was once a capability of mainframe computers, and now even smartphones can do it. Being able to segment the computer into different virtual versions has many advantages, specifically in respect of isolating experimental code from other critical processes. Using this combination of hardware and software a system can allocate its resources more efficiently, and divide those functions that are internet-facing from those that have internal access to a network. For IT professionals and software developers, virtuality is an important aspect of their computing activity, and picking the right tools to create and manage virtual installations is paramount. Here is our selection of software best suited to those trying to keep things real, virtually. We've also highlighted the best workstations of 2019http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/Srzqg9s8GDKYC5TPG7koPe.jpg Parallels Desktop 14 Boot Camp is Apple’s free tool for running a Virtual session under macOS, but those that need to do this on a regular basis use Parallels, now owned by software behemoth Corel. It enables them to seamlessly run Windows alongside their native OS, for those awkward moments when they need software that only works on that platform. A few of the elegant things that Parallels can do is make Windows alerts appear in the Mac notification centre, and operate a unified clipboard. Most Mac users think of Parallels as a tool exclusively for using Windows, but it can be used to host a wide range of Linux distros, Chrome OS and even other (and older) versions of Mac OS. The lowest rung is $79.99 for the basic edition. Above that is a Pro edition that can address more memory and supports development environments like Microsoft Visual Studio. And, a Business Edition that includes centralised license management tools for IT professionals to use. You can download Parallels Desktop 14 herehttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/FC3B5E75aX9X2gPR83KDAD.jpg Oracle VM Virtualbox Not sure what operating systems you are likely to use? Then Oracle VM VirtualBox is a good choice because it supports an amazingly wide selection of host and client combinations. Windows from XP onwards, any Linux level 2.4 or better, Windows NT, Server 2003, Solaris, OpenSolaris and even OpenBSD Unix. There are even people that nostalgically run Windows 3.x or even IBM OS/2 on their modern systems, It also runs on Apple Mac, and for Apple users, it can host a client Mac VM session. Oracle has been kind enough to support VirtualBox, and provide a wide selection of pre-built developer VMs to download and use at no cost. And, all this is free; even the Enterprise release. You can download Oracle VM VirtualBox herehttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/5WUxDaR56VhAiPpEnm5LFa.jpg VMware Fusion and Workstation VMware offers a very comprehensive selection of virtualisation products, with Fusion 10 for the Apple Mac and Workstation 14 for the PC. Despite the name difference, these two products offer effectively the same solution, though tailored to each host OS. For the Mac that includes a neat ‘Unity Mode’ that enables Mac OS to launch Windows applications from the Dock and have them appear like they’re part of the host OS. Workstation, as the version numbering suggests, is a more mature product and delivers one of the most sophisticated VM implementations seen so far. Being one of the few hosts that supports DirectX 10 and OpenGL 3.3, it allows CAD and other GPU accelerated applications to work under virtualisation. Workstation Player for Windows or Linux is free for personal use, though Pro is required for business users, and those wanting to run restricted VMs created using Pro or Fusion Pro. Fusion for Mac is a free trial, and $79.99 (£60.75) to purchase. You can download VMware Fusion and Workstation herehttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/gvEQCGXY3ak8w86zoF7Ft7.jpg QEMU The QEMU website isn’t very sophisticated, but don’t let that put you off. Where this product slightly differs from other VM solutions is that it is both a VM host and also a machine emulator. Along with x86 PC, QEMU can emulate PowerPC, MIPS64, ARM, SPARC (32 and 64), MicroBlaze, ETRAX CRIS, SH4 and RISC-V, among others. It manages to do this without administrator privileges, and the performance of VMs running on it is close to that of native installations. What QEMU lacks is any sophisticated interface tools, instead relying on CLI inputs to install and configure VM clients. At this time it is also only able to host on Linux, even if it can run a wide range of operating systems under that. You can download QEMU herehttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/27E37iTHAUkoAe9kcnnVCY.jpg Red Hat KVM Before anyone writes in with stern words, Virtualization is inherently in all major Linux distributions and not exclusively code that comes with a Red Hat distro. However, Red Hat has enhanced KVM with some very useful features that those already running Red Hat Enterprise Linux need to be aware. Red Hat has two versions; a basic model included in Enterprise Linux that can have four distinct VMs on a single host and a more sophisticated Red Hat Virtualisation edition. Red Hat Virtualisation doesn’t require a host OS, can be deployed on bare-metal installations and spawn as many isolated VMs as is needed. With the potential for hundreds of virtual machines, it also has sophisticated management tools to enable a supervisor to virtualise resources, processes, and applications easily. Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server costs $349 (£265), and the cost of Virtualisation is entirely dependent on the support plan you need. You can download Red Hat Virtualization herehttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/kiXNFwYhvvx57bfyazbDM7.jpg Microsoft Hyper-V Originally codenamed Viridian, and then Windows Server Virtualization, it was rebranded to Hyper-V Server when it was first released in late 2008. These days it comes as part of Windows 10 Pro and Windows Server (2012 and 2016), at no additional cost to the user. However, what you get for nothing is a very basic hypervisor that can’t do the clever things that VMware offers. The guest OS support includes Windows Server, Windows XP SP3 or later, Linux with a 3.4 or better Kernel and FreeBSD. Although driver support for Linux isn’t great, and there is no virtual GPU support. Hyper-V allows relatively inexperienced users to create a virtual server environment, but don’t expect miracles. You can download Microsoft Hyper-V herehttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/AbjLXhntSsL8dVHpDQCMrK.jpg Citrix XenServer Oddly, Citrix XenServer started life as an open source project, and to this day it remains free to download and install. Or rather the basic version is free, but advanced features are restricted to paid tier releases. Paying customers get sophisticated management tools, the ability to automate and distribute live environments at will. It also has the GPU pass-through and virtualised GPU capabilities, allowing it to offer virtualised CAD for example. The other thrust of XenServer is to create virtual data centres that can handle planned and unplanned outages equally smoothly, and maintain the high levels of availability that business expects. A standard perpetual license costs $763 (£579.60) for single CPU socket with one year of support, and the Enterprise version is $2,288 (£1,738) with the same maintenance period. You can download Citrix XenServer herehttp://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/istS9vmWdQHDfwn5rGYRS7.jpg Image credit: Xen Project Xen Project is a free and open source virtual machine monitor (VMM), intended to serve as a type-1 hyperviser for multiple operating systems using the same hardware. Originally developed by Cambridge University, the staff who created it spun it into a company that was later acquired by Citrix. The Xen Project now works with The Linux Foundation in promoting open source applications. It is especially used for advanced virtualization, not least for servers, in both commercial and open source environments. This includes but is not restricted to Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) applications, desktop virtualization, and security virtuzlised. The Xen Project software is even being used in automotive and aviation systems. The service is especially applicable for hyperscale clouds, and can easily be used with AWS, Azure, Rackspace, IBM Softlayer, and Oracle. A key emphasis is on security by using as small a code base as possible, making it not just secure but especially flexible. - You can download Xen Project files herehttp://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/techradar/digital-home/~4/oboWA-lmaxk

Was the expectation too much? Did England bottle it? Or were Pakistan just too good on the day? Whichever way you spin it, England unexpectedly lost in Nottingham on Monday and now it's time to brush themselves down and get going again in Cardiff today. If you want to know how to get an England vs Bangladesh live stream - regardless of where you are in the world - you've landed on the right web page. On home turf, England are usually dominant and the bookies have them as clear favourites to win today despite Monday's little blip. Centuries from Joe Root and Jos Buttler showed just how classy they can be when it's their turn to bat, but their fielding will have to be more representative of Ben Stokes' in the first match. They just made too many mistakes - one or two more and they could be facing an early exit from their long-awaited home tournament. Bangladesh made the first big shock of the 2019 Cricket World Cup when they beat South Africa during the first weekend. And they weren't too far off from making it two in a row after they were narrowly defeated by New Zealand. Lots rests on their one true superstar Shakib Al Hasan who is currently ranked as the number 1 all-rounder in international one day cricket. If he adds to his seven centuries and 200-odd wickets, Bangladesh could trouble England. The good news is that getting an England vs Bangladesh live stream from Cardiff in the Cricket World Cup is very straightforward. Round seven and it's time for the Canadian Grand Prix coming at your from Montreal at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. You can live stream all the F1 race action from wherever you are in the world using this guide. You can also learn what's happened so far and what to expect from the next big Formula 1 race. The 2019 F1 season has reached Canada and will be held at the dramatic man-made Notre Dame Island in the middle of the St Lawrence River. This course has lots of downforce making it a really fast track to race but there is still lots of heavy braking and chicanes that make this a really exciting race. Currently, after winning at Monaco in the last race, the leader of the Drivers' World Championship table is Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton, closely followed by his teammate Valtteri Bottas and then Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel some way behind in third. Despite six straight wins this season for Mercedes, the Canadian Grand Prix could be time for an upset as Ferrari can take advantage of those high speed straights - they looked very impressive indeed in practice two. Mercedes is all about the downforce, which this track offers anyway so its advantage could be played out. All that should make for an exciting race and you can stream F1 live from anywhere in the world. Cricket fan? The rumors of a team-up between George R.R. Martin and FromSoftware have been in the air for a little while, and now a massive leak on Bandai Namco's website just before E3 2019 has shown off details of the upcoming project called Elden Ring, as spotted by Gematsu. The details mention that the game will come for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, which suggests a launch timeline in the near term before the arrival of a new generation of consoles. It will be a fantasy action-RPG set in a world from Dark Souls' creator Hidetaka Miyazaki and George R.R. Martin, the author behind the series A song of Ice and Fire and the Game of Thrones television series that spawned from it. Beyond these details, there's little else revealed, but the game description mentions that "danger and discover lurk around every corner in FromSoftware's largest game to-date." Check out how to watch Game of Thrones from anywhereSee our review of Sekiro: Shadows Die TwiceSee our review of Dark Souls 3Game of Thrones meets Dark SoulsThe previous rumors had suggested the game we now know to be named Elden Ring will be officially announced Sunday at Microsoft's E3 2019 presentation. So, we may find out more Sunday at 1 pm PST, 4 pm EST and 9 pm BST. The team up between FromSoftware and George R.R. Martin likely makes a lot of sense to fans of the Dark Souls and A Song of Ice and Fire series. Both have a level of unforgiving brutality to them, and that's what makes them so compelling to many. In FromSoftware's games, you are faced with sure death frequently. And in George R.R. Martin's stories, no character is safe, even the most beloved. While the Dark Souls series, Bloodbourne, and the newer Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice games have taken place in bleak worlds, the collaboration with George R.R. Martin could spell a more vibrant, colorful world. And, given that it will be FromSoftware's largest game yet, it's likely to be a substantial open world Stay tuned to all our reporting on E3 2019 to find out all the latest on Elden Ring and other major titles. The Sprint 5G coverage map is live in select US cities and they’re the second American carrier with a 5G phone. That’s a pretty good start for the nation’s fourth-largest network. Sprint 5G speed tests were found to offer 350 and 450 Mbps in Dallas, Texas, according to Tom’s Guide. That’s faster than 4G LTE, though not quite as fast as the nearly 1.4Gbps we got from Verizon 5G in Chicago. The key is Sprint is offering 5G coverage that blankets larger portions of the first US cities where it’s available. It’s not as far, no, but its coverage is wider. So far, it’s in just four US cities as of today, and coming to another five cities in the weeks ahead. Here’s an overview of all the things Sprint is doing to get people blanketed with the fastest internet. From its 5G coverage areas and service plans to all the compatible phones and devices. http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/bcuNnegTc3fWyjrzRefn6X.jpg Image credit: TechRadar Sprint 5G service plansDuring the initial rollout of Sprint’s 5G service, customers with the high speed technology in their cities can utilize it with the Unlimited Premium plan. The plan provides unlimited data, talk and text in US, as well 100GB of data for use as an LTE mobile hotspot. For one line, the Unlimited Premium plan costs $80 per month. The 5G supporting service plan also includes Hulu, Amazon Prime, Twitch Prime and Tidal HiFi. Sprint 5G coverage map and rollout citiesStarting in May, Sprint’s 5G service went live in Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas and Kansas City. Those cities will be followed by Houston, Los Angeles, New York City, Phoenix and Washington, D.C. “in the coming weeks,” per a Sprint press release. This 5G network won’t be available across these entire cities at first, mind – only particular parts of their downtown metropolitan areas. New York City’s coverage will start at 30 square miles between Midtown and lower Manhattan, for example. Meanwhile it will start in 230 square miles of the Dallas-Fort Worth region and 110 square miles in Kansas City, according to the Kansas City Star. In total, the initial 5G coverage area will span more than 1,000 square miles across all nine cities. Sprint will surely continue to expand its 5G network as the year rolls on, and is using Massive MIMO radios to augment coverage and simultaneously meet consumers’ 5G and LTE needs. To take advantage of the service when it comes to your city, you’ll need to have a device. Sprint currently sells two devices with a third on the way. Sprint 5G phonesSprint is the second carrier to be selling 5G phones, but it’s arguably the first when it comes to offering handsets with wider reception and stable coverage for customers. While the LG V50 isn’t breaking new ground compared to past offerings from the manufacturer, it will still be able to take advantage of the boost in connectivity. Samsung’s S10 5G on the other hand, is a sight to behold. http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/yZ6VJSagx532fuNpcbkR3X.jpg LG V50 ThinQ 5GThe first Sprint 5G phone you can buy is the LG V50 ThinQ 5G, which became available on May 31, 2019. LG introduced the phone at MWC 2019 as one of the first 5G phones that will hit the market, and it will be the initial device consumers can use on Sprint’s fastest network yet. The V50 looks very similar to the V40, though it packs more of a punch thanks to the brand-new Snapdragon 855 processor (essential for hooking up to 5G networks). It has the same 6.4-inch OLED screen as its predecessor, yet features a larger 4,000mAh battery, ostensibly to watch more media and for longer with those hyper-fast connection speeds. The V50 5G will cost $24 per month with $0 down with Sprint Flex lease payment plan, which is half the price of buying the phone outright, according to Sprint. Unfortunately, Sprint won’t even sell you an LG V50 if you live outside a 5G city, but then again, you probably don’t want one if you don’t live in a supported city anyway. http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/PqDgMdkiPA7rrHBhP8NbhF.png Samsung Galaxy S10 5GOne of the biggest, baddest flagship phones will be coming to Sprint’s 5G network sometime this summer. No, literally: the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G has a 6.7-inch AMOLED display, one of the largest we’ve seen in a flagship phone, at least until the foldables start rolling out. Everything else about the handset is equally big, from its Snapdragon 855 chipset to its 256GB storage and 8GB of RAM. Like the Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus, the 5G variant has three rear lenses (12MP wide, 16MP ultra-wide and 12MP telephoto) along with a time of flight (TOF) sensor to measure depth. It’s even got one of these TOF sensors on the front to augment your selfie game. Verizon started selling the 256GB Galaxy S10 5G for $1299.99 when bought without a monthly payment plan, so we suspect Sprint’s S10 5G will be the same. http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/RwYyNebEZbQKKH5z4avUe7.jpg HTC 5G HubOkay, this definitely isn’t a phone – but until Sprint announces more compatible handsets, the standalone HTC 5G hub might not be a bad substitute, especially if you already have a powerful device. The mobile smart hub (the first of its kind, Sprint claims in its press release) lets up to 20 users hook up to it for smooth 5G speed. It even has a 5-inch HD touchscreen for easy setup. Sprint also advertised that the device has built-in Gigabit Ethernet port, 7,660mAh battery and can be configured for a corporate VPN. The HTC 5G Hub will cost $12.50 per month for the device and can use 100GB of high-speed data for $60. The Sprint 5G futureThese are the 5G cities, phones, and service plans available for Sprint currently, but what about later in 2019? If T-Mobile and Sprint are able to merge, the question arises about how both carriers’ different bands would be supported. Hopefully the next generation of Qualcomm modems, the Snapdragon X55, will be able to bridge the differences by virtually supporting all bands globally. Here's our rundown of all the 5G phones we're expecting to come out this yearhttp://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/techradar/digital-home/~4/S9aQ5ajphBI
