  1. I would rather consider this as an ET 3.00 issue.

     

    @Hellreturn, what are you running on that server, I guess not ET 3.00?

     

    It has ET 3.00. Majority of clan run ET 3.0. If !shuffle was an issue then we would have seen reports by now.

     

    I admire your nobel idea but our server is too popular to make such a security risk.

    Don't get me wrong of course... imho this is a way too far request. It would be easier to share most of the configs to recreate the scenario.

     

    Don't get me wrong but your scenario is not reproducible with configs only. You already had posted the config which you use and even with that config while using ET 3.00 my server doesn't crash.

    It's directly on 2.6b.  No need for patches. Now if they can install 2.55 then can install 2.6b directly. 

  2. I do not know enough about it, but, I'm sure we used to have on our shared hosting before we got the VPS, its a long time ago though.

     

     

    Then, at this time, you had to upload the server.log to the web server before parsing it.

     

    None of those VPS stats are optimized in terms of database. No matter what you use either MyISAM or InnoDB it's going to slow down your whole machine. 

     

    The currently free available VPS stats processors are really slow once you reach 1Gb of database size and you will reach it pretty fast. Sure you can set up cron to emtpy out tablets but then you loose the stats.

  4. Thanks for the help... I have a NFO Server  (Nuclearfallout Server)

    It has Rcon on it's control panel so it's real easy to communicate with the server, just add command line and the server responds back... NFO has the best control panel I have ever used... It's got all the goodies at your finger tips... I'll just use the NFO control panel for now...

     

    You can also use RCON tool and share RCON with your trusted leaders. This way it doesn't matter what control panel is. After one year or so you will hardly care what control panel is. :)

     

    PS I hardly use control panel on my servers. Everything is config based on my servers.

    No. PB bans doesn't work on cvar. md5 and cvar scans come from PBBans (3rd party streaming AC services). PB provides way to do cvar and md5 scans but they are updated by PBBans or 3rd party AC services.

     

    Sure they do put violation numbers but they don't say which violation number is for which cheats :) Basically end result is same. You could have 50 cheats under wallhack but we just call here gamehack to keep it simple.  

     

    At the end of the day all it matters is to ban cheaters. 

     

    in other words - why F|A admin(s) can see more than me from the ban info print. please answer this question.

    i'm just curious.. and i am a server admin running a silent mod server. merry xmas and thank you!

     

    F|A runs there own anti cheat for all mods. They also have sync bans system for other mod servers. Like silEnT AC they run there own AC. 

     

    As far as silEnT AC goes we just put gamehack and auto ban for one year if AC is enabled.

    "banned for detected game hack" is too laconic isn't it? :D

     

    That's intentional. Punkbuster also used to say that .. Just Wallhack or Aimbot, etc etc. Messages would be always generic.

     

    Wallhack could have aimbot too or it could be multi hack. At the end of the day, cheat is cheat and we classify all under gamehacks so far but again nothing is set in stone for life time. :)

  7. I've got a question. How does such entry work:

    subnet   = 108.62*.*.*
    Does it ban all IPs in range of 108.62.*.* - 108.255.*.*?

     

    I couldn't find similar example in the wiki.

     

     

     

    It's probably a typo or a result of an old bug. I remember there was some bug in earlier version where silEnT mod malformed the subnets, but I don't remember what it did.

     

    What Gaoesa said is true :) It resulted from one of the bugs and that was fixed in the next release. 

     

    That bug doesn't happen in 0.8.2 release. I had the list updated few weeks back not this one. Will update this one soon. New one includes more proxies from OVH and other Europe networks. 

  8. I dunno why this happened but I will zip my current et install if anyone are interested to help me but I will however install et:legacy and play at dark alchemy a1

     

    NQ mod doesn't have anti cheat so any one can cheat freely on NQ mod if server doesn't have PB. If you can re-create the violation back on gao's silent mod server and record the demo/video of it through any recording software it would be helpful for us. 

     

    I had no problem changing different servers which you mentioned and joining any silent mod server back again.

    Probably something that soldier can deploy with auto shoot and it remains active for 2-3 mins and shoots within certain range. 

     

    Brink was really fun game ... but high priced and couple of game issues and it never got picked up. Sadly servers where only 16 slots which was major down fall. Intense combat maps where fun.

    Just finnishing up this carabine for Reloaded mod :)

     

    That's one nice model. But doesn't it mostly look similar as engineer rifle? Might want to add something different? Something like

    For soldiers? Just suggesting and may be make it open model so any mod who would like to use it can use it off course after giving credits to you.

    It would be based on your basepath and homepath. if you can drop me a PM with FTP access to your server I can fix it up for you in 5 mins. If access is not possible then check your console logs and see what path it's trying to load from.

     

    Your other settings are correct unless you are overwriting it again with different values in the config. Sometimes admins put same cvar in config couple of times which causes the issue.
