  1. Is it only silent mod that does that? I have noticed when I type it in the console, it doesnt all go through. But when I try and PM on my server, it all goes through.. but it isn't running silent mod.
  2. If you send a message to everyone in the clan (WF), then it will send it to you as well because you also are wearing those same tags. The PM will send to everyone that uses that. So if you type in /m wf* <message>, then you will get it as well.
  3. I am already planning on moving my host after this month. The only reason I stayed this month was because I only paid $4 for this month. Got a 10 pound donation to the server from one of our members. When you are normally only paying 12 pounds a month.. mine as well stick out another month.
  4. Nothing was changed... it was running, and now it's not. Didn't know if it was a bug or not.. but since it is not the first time, I will be most likely moving the server to a different mod again. Thanks for the help, but since there seems to be no fix.. I don't want to leave my server in the dark for a while.
  5. Server was running with punkbuster and working just fine. It is now not working, and getting this error again.. i don't understand why this keeps happening... the host is saying that it is an issue with silent mod itself because no other mod is coming up with the error this many times.
  6. BUMP!

    Ok.. this time I am having issues with the other end of the greetings. My sounds are playing just fine, but the actual greeting messages are not playing this time.

    This is what my level 0 (default) looks like:

    [level]
    level     = 0
    name     = New Player
    flags     = aM#
    greeting = ^2Welcome ^1New Player ^2to the server!
    greeting_sound = sound/greetings/newplayer.wav

    Sound is playing, just not the greeting text itself.

  7. Is there a setting on the server, or maybe in Silent mod that is forcing the com_maxfps to 125? When I change mine in the game (on our server) it doesn't change it. If I exit and look in my cfg file in the Silent mod folder, it is still set to 125. Just curious
  8. Right, but u don't understand. Jaymod is easy to read it has also users limits.

    Silent is a binary base and there is no users limit, it has a huge importance for large servers.

    See, that is not what I fully understood, which is why I brought it up. I didn't know if it could be changed a little differently to allow more users.

    By the way, I seen your post on SD, Jaymod database can not be converted becouse xpskills are encrypted.

    I wrote a plugin which is to convert xp from jaymod server to file, but player has to play the whole map.

    It was something Gaoesa and I were talking about in another thread. We reset everything anyways and everyone restarted their XP.

  9. Is it possible to get a more easier user database that isn't so fragile? For instance, going through the silent userdb is a little harder then going through Jaymods. Again.. not saying jaymod is better because I like silent a lot better, but their db is much easier to read. It automatically creates the fields and changes when you edit a player in the console as well.

    name = <username>
    namex = <colorcodeusername>
    authLevel = 0

    xpSkills = XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

    Something in that nature or a little different would be nice to have in our database. I don't know how possible it is, but it works a little easier to the more experienced and less expereineced server admin.

    What do you think?

  10. He updated to the Windows 2008 64-bit server I believe. It could be 32-bit though... no promises. My issue now doesn't involve this error anymore.. it envolves a punkbuster update!
  11. Sweet. That is goo to hear some insight on what is the issue. What setting would j need to change for warmup? I thought I had it set right.

    Track base says I don't have punk buster enabled. I have it enabled in the command line, in the silent config and in the punk buster folders... Hmmm

  12. Not a map issue. Took the map out of rotation and restarted the server. You still cannot pick up the objective, friendly fire is still not working and xp isn't even recording. No matter how much you do, you do not gain xp at all.
  13. So I FINALLY got it up and working with the help of Gaming Deluxe. I started playing on the server and noticed just a few things... Maybe it's my settings

    Friendly Fire is activated through:

    set g_friendlyFire 1

    but it is not working.

    Another thing, this one could be a map issue though or just my game.. I couldn't pick up the objective in 1944_beach.. idk. Wouldn't let me pick it up. Since there was 24 minutes left and I couldn't do the objective with a bunch of bots, I went to !nextmap and it told me that the next map was loaded, but it would not work. It never went to the next map. Any clue?
