  1. If the folder where the player database/bit info has not got the correct permissions then the system cannot rewrite the relevant info. I would say check all permissions within the game install to make sure they are correct. Do you have log files being written?

  4. Have you gone through your nq cfg to make sure that there is no conflicting bot cvars set?
  5. why not just create a different directory on a 9.0 server and leave 8.2 in its current state so if a player joins they download everything in the new directory for 9.0 and can still connect to anyone running an older version. This should work yes????

  7. Thanks Dragonji I had missed that cvar. But I was looking to change or be able to change all weapons.
  8. Does anyone know an easy way to change weapon fire rate? I would like to be able to change fire rates to give a fun twist to my server. This has been done on jaymod servers that I know and would like to be able to do this in silent.

I use windows not Linux so not sure if it would be different.

  12. Another thing to make home server public is to ensure you have port forwarding configured in your router pointing to the computer that is hosting the server.
  13. Interesting I did not know that 8.3 was around. I am only aware of 8.2.

    i believe this is a bug in ET. With Railgun if you call arty as allies as soon as the tug is moved it will instant kill anyone in the tug.
  15. Do you use a redirect for your pk3 files? If so is this file on the redirect??

    I think these cvars are what your want. cg_popupTime "0" cg_popupFadeTime "2500" cg_popupWaitTime "5000" cg_numPopups "10" These are found in your config file and not server. Hope this helps

    The one thing that can cause a limit, if I remember right, is ET has a limit on quick chat menus and you can only have a maximum number of sub menus. But saying that if they are not quick chat then I don't think there is a limit just how long people are prepared to wait for the initial custom pk3 file to download.

    Just for interest how many sounds were you trying to use? On our servers we have 115 different sound files.

  20. As everyone is saying you need to have the spree sounds in your own .pk3 file loaded on the server in the silent folder, as well as in the same folder in the redirect. Make sure you do a server restart so it is picked up and if everything is right it should work.
  21. In your campaign calls take out the cmpgn_ and try again.
  22. Could this extra ban command be done via lua or even the command database?
  23. I trust you tried restarting server. We don't use map vote but find if people vote to change to campaign from objective then it can glitch. I have put this down to et not the mod.

  25. Another way is to remove mute from the voting so only admins can mute and unmute.
