Harlekin uses only official files in his installers so that it wasn't a problem for sure. The guy you are talking about used to play on unknown executables (such as ETGold or an own client).
I'd suggest to have a look at ET: Legacy project instead. Its team fixed a lot of 2.60b bugs already and introduced new features (such as minimizing using Alt+TAB).
You didn't understand the point at all. It was just a simple (and damn good to be honest) example of what can the mod turn into if it offers "too much" NoQua... http://emoty.blox.pl/resource/gwizdze.gif Nah, we will only "fight" against bad ideas
Hitboxes are almost the same in both mods AFAIK but there are obviously other things which determine that the game is very different in silEnT comparing to Jaymod. However, I'm not an expert and I do believe gaoesa or Silencer can say more on this matter.
I think silEnT is good the way it is. Getting some ideas from other mods is not bad of course but silEnT should follow an own path if you know what I mean. BTW, it's impossible or almost impossible and time consuming to code a mod similar to Jaymod because of one simple reason - Jaymod is a closed project
It usually happens when my lagometer looks like this: http://obrazki.elektroda.net/62_1345908254.png However, I don't have such problems on Jaymod for example (even if I lag/warp a bit).
Well, sometimes (especially when doing strafe jumps) I experience some bug which causes my jump is "interrupted" in the middle (I don't know if I described it correctly). I just checked and as far as I can see cg_optimizePrediction is enabled in my configs. Sol can say more about it since he's way more experienced in trickjumping than me.
Those cvars have nothing to do with !howfair. http://mygamingtalk.com/wiki/index.php/Silent_Mod_Server_Cvar#g_unevenTeamDiff http://mygamingtalk.com/wiki/index.php/Silent_Mod_Server_Cvar#g_unevenTeamFreq
Looks like it's not a server itself. Just played a while on an ETPub server with similar amount of players (30+) and I was warping even worse than on our own server.
Sorry for a link only but I was posting from my mobile phone. The main idea here is to prevent some admins from putting x bots on spectator and as crapshoot said:
Funny thing, looks like our IPTables does not work. I enabled ET 3.00's built-in getstatus fix and so far the game is almost lag-free. Thank you for help gaoesa, will let you know if I have new problems
