    The reason for this error is still that the ET is not loading the mod. The issue is not in the mod itself. You could try to find out more details of their installations. The OS version is not related to this, but what client they are using, are they running the game as an admin, is the game installed to a custom folder etc. With Mac users this may happen if they have not patched to the 2.60d version. There is only intel binaries for Mac OS X so the d version is the minimum requirement.

  4. Stabbing under water is realistic. So no backing up. It is irrelevant how many admins you have pissed. But I'm sure it is a skill. Throwing knives or grenades from under water to above surface is the big issue. Beginners typically can't understand the physics engine would allow this and have hard time finding the opponent. There is no skill involved in there. It is just a bug to exploit. There is no distinction between throwing under water and above water in the physics engine. That is a problem and underwater throws will not be enabled at all since they can't be constrained to under water. Even if they would be fun in an arcade way. And the issue is about realism and preventing exploiting weird behaviour. There is no contradiction here.
  5. Stabbing is completely different thing then throwing. It is not only the hand that affects the flight, the object itself will not fly under water that well. For the stabbing hand movement, it is close enough to be realistical. Also the damage. For the throwing hand movement, why does it matter if the animation is not slowed. I hope it is not too annoying, like you said, we are not even trying to make a ultra realistic game. But we want to get rid of the worst bugs. As for the question why other mods allegedly haven't fixed this, we don't know. I don't think you did read carefully. The issue is not only throwing under water, but also that throwing knife or grenade underwater to above the surface. The knife and the grenade will fly just like it was thrown in the air. Only practical use for this is to throw them at beginners. Is this why you want it so much?
  6. It is realism issue. The knife and the grenade uses the same physics underwater. Also, while fighting underwater may be fun, but throwing knives and grenades from underwater to above water level is not really purposefull and as an idea extremely buggy. Better for the players to rise to the surface for the throw. It is not configurable and it will not be.
  7. The private slots are 0 and 1 if you have 2 of them. This is an engine feature.
  8. What is the number of private slots on your server. Maybe he hadn't set the password before connecting? I mean if he was put to the slot 2 instead of slot 1.
  9. That is the way it should work. Can you double check this to see if there is possibly some sort of a bug? I suspect there might be a bug regarding how the Omni-bots connect to the server.
  10. Are you sure about the hirntot link that you posted? We checked the binary found from that link and it is an exact match with the official binary.

  12. silEnT is based on the ETPub 0.9.1 version which is based on the ET SDK. Saying ET source code usually refers to the engine and not to the game code. Mod usually refers to the changes in the game code. Sometimes custom paks are also referred as mods. But those change skins and model etc and they are not programmed changes. Lua is on the mod side and it originates in the ETPub.
  13. Optional aliases database is implemented in the next version with new commands !aliases, !aliassearch and option for !userinfo to show also the aliases. New server cvar g_dbMaxAliases. Alias information holds: first time seen, last time seen, the time the alias has been in actual use.

  15. Check the minbots, maxbots and botwar setttings from omni-bot/et/user/omni-bot.cfg file. Check the et_autoexec.gm, et_botnames.gm and et_botnames_ext.gm in the omni-bot/et/scripts/ folder. Revert the changes you made when changing the bot names. Register at the Omni-bot forum http://www.omni-bot.com/forum/index.php and ask additional help from there.
  16. Did you do direct file copy? If you did, have you tried with clean install package? I can see the backtrace is not starting from the beginning.

    Changing the weapon definitions freely would create very random game experiences. Especially the grenade time is something that should never be changed because no one would know how to use it with random ticks.   24. I asked for strafe jump problems from couple of regulars on my server. The answer was that there are no such issues. There is one bug that is also in Jaymod, something called "speed bug". I can't explain it better because I don't have the trick jumping skills. It was the term that was said to me. Overall, the answers was that silEnt equals to Jaymod when it comes to strafe jumping.
