  1. We will add them. We can also add more of those if you think the current ones are not enough. The path will be the sound/announces/ and the file names will be revive(x).wav.
  2. Uh, sorry. Indeed there isn't sound support for revive sprees. This can be added, it's no problem but for the next release. For the mean while you may want to consider using kspree.lua only for the revive sprees if you need them but you are content with other ones. Btw, 25 revive spree is really good. Seems like a nice server.
  3. The poison sound is only played to the poisoned player. The g_settings was renamed to g_banners because the file doesn't have anything else in it. This change was made in 0.4.0 but the file has not had anything else in it since I think from 0.2.0. If you want to add sounds to the announcements, you need to add custom pk3 with them that has the correct paths for the sounds. If you want to change the texts, you need to disable the inbuilt system and use kspree lua for it. The instructions on how to add the sounds to the announcements is in the documentation provided with the silEnT. Look for server.html and section Announcement Sounds. By default we do not include those sounds but we support admins who want to use them with this mechanism. Also, do not fear that the path would change, it will not change in the foreseeable future.
  4. If the server is configured to disconnect for the download, the Mac OS X users must donwload the pk3 manually and place it to the silent folder. If that has been already done, then more information of the problems would be appreciated. Do note that we do not support PPC builds anymore and those are not included in the pk3.
  5. Thank you for the compliments and I especially appreciate them when they come from a very old clan which has given lot of weight in ETPub and to ET overall. To your argument about cg_damageKick, I don't agree, but I take your argument seriously. The reason why it was removed was indeed that only few players knew about it and not necessarily many admins either. It was giving advantage to players in an exploit kind of way and I personally know ETPub players weren't very willingly telling this secret to other players. We can still see how players find some exploit and they won't tell it to us so they don't lose the advantage. Also, the feature was restricted to only the ETPub which was limiting the knownledge even further as majority of the players come from other backgrounds. Sure it indeed does level the ground against some low tuned aimbots, but it also makes someone look more like an aimbot when he plays against someone playing the mod first times. So to summarize, it was removed because it was not part of the original game and no other mod supported this either. It was exploit like and limited to only those knowing about it. The argument that it levels the ground against aimbots is not that strong, because it will only level against bots that are tuned very weak and not actually against botters as a whole. There is nothing stopping them tuning the bots little better and then again do the killings.
  6. We are very sorry about this. We noticed the bug before release but for some reason we forgot it and it passed through. The bug concerns only the menus. With limbo and HUD editor the cursor is visible. You can select the cursor manually with the ui_themedCursor [0|1].
  7. The speed has not been changed in the silEnT. In comparison to ETPub and trickjumps, the pmove_fixed was fixed the way dinius from TJMod has suggested it at ETPub forums and TJMod forums when they still existed. That may have some effect if you use it.
  8. Rename g_settings to g_banners in the config and it will work as before.
  9. I don't know do you haave g_weapons 4096 enabed. But with this setting the dropped guns include all the ammunition in the clips. This might help with the problem.
  10. Tomorrow as far as I know. But only because we include the Mac OS X client and we couldn't build it before.
  11. There will be a new manual and the Wiki is also updated for the 0.4.0.
  12. If you press the tab couple times repeatedly very fast, the values change. They are XP, PRW and K/D rating. If server admin wants to, he can disable the PRW and K/D. Those are controlled by g_killrating and g_playerrating.
  13. The feature request is understandable convenience feature. However, this has low priority because it doesn't bring much difference from writing the full commands. But it would require significant changes to the current command matching.
  14. It didn't come apparent in here does your players download the campaign file or not, but unless the players have the campaign file downloaded locally, there will not be any campaign description. This works the same with every mod. The solution for that problem is to include the campaign file inside some downloadable pk3 from the server. But that has the expense that your players need to download the pk3 again every time you change the campaign.
  15. The kspree.lua works perfectly for customising the servers if server admins want to do that. Players can already disable the announcements they don't like by theselves and admins can select to not enable certain announcements. Making client configurations more flexible would be possible, i.e. disabling multikills below some certain level. But for now we are not going to replicate the Lua option inside the core mod only to make it less flexible. The inbuilt system is similar to major mods including Jaymod and NQ but little bit more flexible for the players. I'm a little bit against the Lua system in general because it lacks the client options to disable many announcements. Personally I don't want to hear any multikill messages while some other players can like them. With client side options it is more easy for me to play on servers I don't play often.
  16. That would make all the images distroded again which would look even worse. Better solution would be to design new loading screen that has black all around and not just on the sides. In any case, we will not go back to the distorded loading screens and limbo menu.
  17. Because my old laptop broke and now I have a new one with 64 bit Windows 7, I can confirm that the dedicated server runs correctly with current Lua libraries. The most common problem with the Lua is that lua5.1.dll is not placed to the correct search path. Try first placing it next to the etded.exe and if that doesn't work, try to find out what is the fs_homepath and place the lua dll there. That should work with the silEnT.
  18. Well. The shrubbot does work. But many "tyrannic" things do not. For example private messages will stay private and most "fun" commands are disabled. However, changing the default setting to 1 is of course reasonable and indeed most servers probably want to have it set.
  19. Yes, we have had conversations with crapshoot privately and we have given him builds even before the public beta for a little deeper testing. He has been very helpfull towards us and we have a gentlemens agreement with him so that what we provide directly stays confidential
  20. I run my silent server on 64 bit linux. One thing to note is that etded and the mod dlls are also 32 bit builds.
  21. That was QueenMarys post. She is one of the founders and we initially had Jaymod which has molotovs.
  22. And as always, Himalia ET Community (my community) hosts the latest silEnT version. And will continue to do that
  23. Fixed in next server version.
  24. Hmm. Sorry. I didn't look the screenshots you provided carefully enough at first. They show that the command reports successfull completion. This is indeed a valid bug in the mod and I believe I found the reason for this. Thank you for reporting.
  25. Have you set immunity for admin commands? EDIT: I checked the command and noticed it requires g_tyranny to be set on the server. Please check this value.
